The Lithe gives a great shave. BUT, not one to leave alone what shouldn't be tampered with, I decided it needed to be an open comb. Swap out the bottom plate with a Maggard V3 or a Stirling Soaps razor head - works even smoother!

I got an order of 50 vokshods just 4 days ago right before black Friday. They provide a great shave for the price and my favorite part is they don't use glue so it doesn't gunk up my rockwell and tto's.

What an excellent idea! Not only will you get the proper shave angle but you will also develop muscle memory. Which could transfer to any razor. For only ten bucks I've got to try one. As well as the cherry soap. I keep Cherry air fresheners in my car so I think I can handle it... Lol

I got 2 of them earlier this year after several posts about them at Badger&Blade. Consensus was they were junk, but I ordered them anyway. Neither one shaved that well with both blades or even with only 1 blade. The hollow black plastic handle was worth putting on another razor, so not all was lost.

Say how do you keep the lather on the brush warm so that you don't have to re-lather after the 1st pass, everytime I get ready for the 2nd or 3rd pass I have to run the brush under the hot tap water and lather up each time because the lather goes cold when I'm busy doing my 1st, 2nd or 3rd pass.

In Greece we have a one day every year called Smell of Burning Meat
Thursday (free translation, sounds better in greek), where we eat a lot of meats from sausages to steaks, kebabs etc because in out relegion after that week we "fast" (not allowed to eat meat) till easter! The Schick Krona has a similar head -- perfect if you don't know how to put it against your skin. The last DE model Schick made, the Schick Platinum DE, had a similar "fool-proof" head. It was released shortly before DE razors took the way of the dinosaurs and not many of them were sold. The overall concept (plastic except for the butterfly doors, large, ribbed twist wheel to open and close the doors below the head) was ripped off by other companies, though, including Astra, which didn't belong to Proctor&Gamble at that time. If so, it would have been the one and only time when Gillette ripped off something from Schick, and not the other way round. Speaking of Russian stuff: I like the Voskhod (name means "Sunrise", by the way) blades, but my favorite Mostochlegmash blade is the Rapira Platinum Lux.

Never checked out WCS but i am glad i did. I have a qshave classic 3 piece that is mild and redundant with my 2 other mild tto razors so I ordered just the head of their open comb for $5.18 to slap on my 3 piece to hopefully get a more aggressive razor.
Cheaper than buying a new razor and my cheap qshave was only $6.50 so I will have an open comb "franken razor" as some call em for only like $12..
My favorite of the 4 I currently have is the qshave futur clone and it is just soo much smoother than any of my other ones.. I almost dont want to reach for the others which is a shame because I have an older Krona and I guess because its older and it was my dad or grandpas I wana like it more but its just kinda mehhh to me.

I guess that the difference between a synthetic and a badger brush is that you need a little bit more time to make a proper lather with the badger while the lather almost makes itself with a synthetic brush
I know you don't speak French but you should check out a French TH-camr, Filslade. He's a very nice guy, quite talkative and takes time to face lather but makes such a great lather every time.
Some people enjoy lathering for a long time, others don't mind a lather that's a little thinner, but in the end everybody happily shave every morning 😉

Every WCS branded razor and/or head I've purchased was of dreadful quality in terms of tolerances, plating, threading, and inconsistent within same product lines. I get they are all around $10 and not 304 ss cnc machined tools but still... Never had that problem with anything maggard or Italian barber branded. It's just a straight bar humpback (walbusch or something like that). PAA has a bakelite slant version out for years now. Synthetic brushes all day homie, I like a stiffer bristle face lather so I'll never buy anything besides the cheap $10 omega synths again. Quick and easy to lather and they don't 'rot' in my humid Florida climate like my old animal hair brushes did.

Since this is a Charcoal Goods razor head, it's a lot better quality than the cheap-o WCS heads. I like to point & laugh at chrome-plated pot metal (zamak) heads, especially the spendy ones, but this one performs as well as any of my Gillette Techs or Old Types. I was so impressed with it that I ordered another to put on an open comb bottom plate (plus it was with free shipping).

Convex down, concave up. I only use TTO razors, so it dont matter to me. I gave away the one 3 piece I once bought.

Interesting razor, its maybe making things a little too easy..... I challenge them to produce a DE razor that looks like a medieval mace for the ultimate manly razor!!!

Hey, Thanksgiving drained me at work!! You should try a sugar scrub on your face - it feels amazing! It scrubs away dead skin and the oils moisturize at the same time! It’s good to use on the entire body - skin feels polished and soft afterwards. Also watch this video on how to pronounce Voskhod 🤪🙈Cheers!
