The wood for the counter and the sink are fabulous!! What wonderful history. If it is too high for the children, just make a wooden step for them to stand on. That is what we did for our children when they were young and too short. Love it!!
Marc. I get such a kick out of your comment about liking the video even if we don’t like it. Of course I love the video. The wood and sink are amazing. Your videos are so entertaining. Deborah. North Carolina 😊😊❤❤
The piece of wood to hold the sink thick and strong goes lovely with the stone sink. I wouldn't plaster the walls, perhaps painting with a water resistant paint because its a shallow sink and you could get the water splashing up the walls and on the wood surface
Don’t cut the basin table down - believe me, the older you get (and with a bad back) you’ll appreciate not having to stoop over the sink. A small step stool for the little people will suffice.
Meaning to say for ages…you guys have ‘the’ best intro music/title sequence for a video (across all the chateau vids & that’s not dissing others) You’ve captured a humorous retro-French-rural-surreal essence perfectly & I love it 👏🏼
Is nothing simple for you two?? You both are amazingly calm and patient as one problem after another piles up in this Coach House renovation. Never mind … you will soon have everything working there and you can relax in your comfortable family home 😊❤
There are always things to adjust when it comes to bathrooms. I’m sure you will be relieved to finally be able to move in. Love the slab of wood and sink. A small set of steps for the children to stand on is in order now. I’m sure you have some wood around to use. Then let the children paint them. It’s all looking fabulous!
I kept a little one step stool next to the sink for teeth brushing. It was painted red with white words, "This little stool is mine. I use it all the time to reach the things I couldn't and lots of things I shouldn't." I haven't thought of it in a long time❤!!!
I agree with you about every job having to be done twice. What they’re learning & getting experience with will be so useful to them when they’re able to get to work on their chateau. I know that jobs will inevitably have challenges there too, but what they’re learning in the coach house is invaluable. It was clever of them to start smaller. I have nothing but admiration for Amy & Marc.👍🏻🇨🇦
The Elm counter is beautiful. The stone sink is appropriate for the building, even if not all that practical. I'm glad that no one put their back out with all of the lifting. Your upstairs bathroom is beautiful!
I think rather than stencil a similar pattern to the tiles all along the border ...just make some more of those beautiful tiles and tile the border around the bathroom. It would ti(l)e it all together very elegantly. Those tiles are unique a very very beautifully art nouveau!!!
Cinnamon is a great spider repellant. You can just sprinkle it around. Since it's a spice it isn't dangerous for either children or pets. Well done for getting htis far with the Coach house!
You are amazing. Y’all are so fun to watch. I’m in Tennessee. Today is the run for the roses derby! I would rather watch you than all the festivities. Have a blessed week.!
I certainly did both like and "Like" this video 😊 as I always do. It was actually a good appetizer/apertif to the much-better Lost Gardens of Chateau de Rosieres channel. (Just kidding Amy, both channels are wonderful!)
All gorgeous choices and I think the height is perfect.... a little bench for the kids to stand on tucked under... as we all have done with ours, they grow faster than we think! Good job!
...that would be disastrous if it leaked and weakened the antique wood base underneath ...the possibility of it collapsing under that tremendous weight is just too awful to think about!!!
How exciting! I love the use of the historic wood slab and stone sink! Your apartment is looking so warm & inviting. Great jobs, all. Thank you for sharing.
Les éléments sont superbes, brancher un évier à proximité du boîtier électrique doit être à très gros risques, surtout si c’est un accueil public. Prenez soins de votre dos, les choses sont très lourdes. 😉
Can't wait to see what kind of tap or taps you will be using ( antique or new ) .the bathroom upstairs is coming along swimmingly ( marc you can use my pune) 😁
it must be common in rural areas with ancient buildings like yours but I'm not understanding how a highly textured sink can be kept sanitary. Will it be sealed or is there a certain cleaning method? It's really nice looking and I agree with many here not to lower it. Try using it first as a too low sink causes awful back aches, the very last thing you need!
The sink and the wood are absolutely stunning👍👍👍♥️ , but I noticed one thing you have a fuse panel just above where you are putting the sink , I hope you are thinking of relocating the fuse panel, water, and electricity. Do not go well together. Be safe Absolutely love your vlogs and the ideas you come up with Keep pushing through I can’t wait for you to get to the house renovations 👍❤️💐🥂
Yes, I did like this video. You both are hilarious. The sink looks fabulous. The bathroom may have a few issues but you will get them resolved. I really love the tiles you made.❤
The downstairs sink is beautiful! The kids can use a child steps until they are tall enough. You need a really cool mirror. Can Margo make a pebble frame for it?
I love your black & white intro. I want to go back to that time! I wrote that before going thru comments and noticing someone else gave a more wonderful comment about the same thing.
It is looking lovely. The only trouble with the stone sink for downstairs is that stone is so very harsh on skin. Never mind, it will look wonderful too no doubt. Best wishes.
Amy and Marc are you going to seal the sink at all so that it is less porous? With all of the grooves it may be difficult to clean. It looks very rough on the videos and I would be concerned that people, especially children, may scratch themselves on it. We have a step stool for grandchildren to stand on to wash their hands at the sink, you could do the same for your children, it would be such a shame to cut the legs of the dough box.
What a beautiful blessing to have amenities in an historical home.
Love the dough box, elm slab and stone sink ❤❤❤❤❤Definitely use a block of wood for the kids to use if the sink is too high for them. Well done 👍 ❤😍😘
I love watching you Amy and Marc. Funny and respectful and willing to work hard.

step for the littlies was my immediate thought

I love watching your creative and innovative processes comeing to fruition. Thanks so much ❤️
The wood slab and the sink are lovely!! 🎉

Thank you!
Indeed‼️
It was the clincher that got me interested in this diy chateau couple ...among so many others ...it stands out & is so utterly charming!
What an amazing collection of antique treasures you have to dip into to create that washstand 😊
The sink, dough bowl and plank are beautiful.
Is nothing simple for you two?? You both are amazingly calm and patient as one problem after another piles up in this Coach House renovation. Never mind … you will soon have everything working there and you can relax in your comfortable family home 😊❤
You two are such good foils forone another.
Another bit of history to add to the place that wood is just beautiful
Yes. Marc is cheeky😊

Love the rhyme, that’s so cute😄🇨🇦
Wow that slab of timber is unique, then together with stone basin what a statement pairing. Stunning !
I love this channel and the channel on Gardens. What you are undertaking is so massive but also enlightening and entertaining!
Every job done twice! But, the bathroom is looking really good. Love the fixtures and the paint colour!

@@pdq5465 Yup! And they will remember the work fondly in later years!☺
the wooden frieze on the door is in reverse. you can also use it as a trim for the mirror, ground, on the sink
The combination of the table dough box and sink is amazing. Hopefully getting it plumbed will go easily and well. ❤

You should add a brass plate with the family history of its origin on the bench somewhere so people know its history

Well done for getting htis far with the Coach house!
Love your laughter, 1 2 3

😂 I need to have a word with Marc about that!
Keep a little one step stool under the sink for child height adjustments❤!!!
All gorgeous choices and I think the height is perfect.... a little bench for the kids to stand on tucked under... as we all have done with ours, they grow faster than we think! Good job!
Wow, that's a heavy sink, hope you can get the plumbing to work on it where it doesn't leak. Kathy USA 🇺🇸
...that would be disastrous if it leaked and weakened the antique wood base underneath ...the possibility of it collapsing under that tremendous weight is just too awful to think about!!!
How wonderful, well done, once again making your home unique.
I love the wood top, it is substantial and beautiful at the same time. Great job!
Please everyone, like and subscribe as it helps them so much. Thank you. Won’t cost you anything.
Thank you!

I love the ‘in American’ comment. I interpreted that to be North American, as we use the same terminology in Canada.
Your bathroom is beautiful.👍🏻🇨🇦

I liked it😉❤
Loved the live Q&A. Thank you for this vlog guys. Xx
Does Mark have construction boots. When Zi saw him handling the stone sink with sandals I cringed.
These are his Roman security sandals.
Marc, it’s important to have ear protection, but not eye protection.😂 You’re an adult Marc! You do you boo.😊 Thank you
The sink and the wood are absolutely stunning👍👍👍♥️
, but I noticed one thing
you have a fuse panel just above where you are putting the sink , I hope you are thinking of relocating the fuse panel, water, and electricity. Do not go well together.
Be safe
Absolutely love your vlogs and the ideas you come up with
Keep pushing through I can’t wait for you to get to the house renovations 👍❤️💐🥂
The electrical box will be all boxed in, don’t worry!
You did all a great job with the new stand for the wash basin!
The wood top and stone sink are absolutely stunning!
✨🌞✨

BEST
The sink looks amazing!
Lovely music with the vlog
You guys are amazing…love watching this progression!
Absolutely lovely!
You two are amazing
💪plus💪plus💪 heavy, beautiful stuff!
Good team work and progress so satisfying enjoy your humour
Will you line the sink with resin? That's probably sacrilege. I'm imagining trying to clean soap scum out of all the little holes and crevases 🙈.
We discussed that issue but I think a decent tap will be sufficient. Maybe we’ll regret it!
It is looking lovely. The only trouble with the stone sink for downstairs is that stone is so very harsh on skin. Never mind, it will look wonderful too no doubt. Best wishes.
Absolutely beautiful ❤it😊
¡Felicidades! 😊😊😊
how many times has mark stubbed his open toes ;]
Remarkably few! It’s normally gashes in his legs.
🌟👏👍🍀💐
Beautiful!
Great Job❤
Looks AWESOME
HEAVY!
Well done it looks good.
it looks fantastic. great job
I like your video and your interaction❤
Looks great, what is the fibre optic used for ?
J'aime beaucoup vos sandales de sécurité que vous avez aux pieds quand vous manipulez des choses très lourdes...C'est quoi le nom de la marque ?
A bit sad that the dough bowl will be completely hidden by the counter.
Yes it was difficult to bring it more to the fore. But it was already lacking it’s top so it would have been difficult to use for anything else.
👋👍❤️
tu aurais pu boucharder ton évier en lave avant de le monter, ;)

Why oh why are you cutting off the beautiful live edge of that piece of wood?!?!!!! 😮
