    I have this type too, it is a great van I love it alot 😍❤. Mine is diesel engine of 5 cylinder. I wish you goodluck in using it. Take your time to fix the damage parts. T4 doesn't die if we'll maintained.

    Cracking van mate 👌🏻, sure you'll have lots of great times with it, something like that becomes part of the family! What a first journey 🤣 you're lucky you were only half an hour from a petrol station!!!

    Cool van - With the best engine. I've had dodgy fuel gauges in the past and with longer ownership, you can learn how correct/incorrect they are and live with them... 👍

      Thanks man, it is indeed. Yeah I tend to just base it off the trip each time I reset it after getting fuel, just in case! Old vans and their quirks, but wouldn't change it in a heartbeat.

    At 9:26 your van tour shows the rear bench seat. Your middle rear seat has a proper 3 point shoulder seat belt. Is this an original VW part? I am in North America, and our vans only have a lap belt in the middle seat.
    Could you let us know the part numbers involved in this 3 pt seatbelt.

      Hi there, looks that way. Im away at the moment but will check once I'm back, this was a 97 model so may have been discontinued on later models, or maybe its something to do with US safety regulations, not sure. Either way, I'll do my best to see if I can find one!

      Still none the wiser, just learnt to live with it 😂either way, probably something to do with the instrument cluster or the reader in the tank itself.

    Similar to my Velle. Such good condition seems a shame to chop it up

    • @sewvintage

      Well see that’s the thing, what I’m thinking of doing is removing the seats but still leaving cutouts in the new floor for the original inserts, so that if needed I can just slot them in. Won’t be ripping out the headlining either, so she will still stay pretty original!

    • @solarrover9575
      @solarrover9575 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One option is to do what I did and pick up a t4 multivan full width seat/ bed. You can then use it with the factory back seat belts 👍
