Great video Josh. My Grandfather just passed 4/26/19. He was 101 years old. He was an instructor during WW2 for the side guns out of the B-17. He was a pilot, owning a few aircraft, the last one being a C170. He took my flying as a young child at 3 or 4 years old. I was greatfull that in 2001 I was able to take him flying in a C172. I gave him the controls and he flew perfectly. Good times.

That’s KFDK! My home airport. I learned to fly at the Frederick flight center there. Hope runway 23 was as popping as ever and you guys got to fly over I-70 and see the quarry!

Sadly I didn't have time to make it home this year for the AOPA Frederick fly in. It would have been awesome to say hello to you again and meet FlightChops. You probably flew over my parents house while you guys were over the Potomac river, they don't live too far from Harpers Ferry. Love your videos and great Cub!

yes, there are 100LL gas stations laid out over the ocean about 4 flight hours apart and they calm down the waves around them so seaplanes can land safely ;-)

Just see look on someones face they just won a fully restored SuperCub disqualified because they don't meet the requirements. I don't understand why they would have those requirements lot of people love aviation can't afford to buy an airplane training is useless if you can't fly regularly.
You can win as a sport pilot you just cant fly it as a sport pilot. Lmao.
@@mikeryan6277 I noticed that at least you would not be disqualified completely they will fly it for you to your home airport and store it until you get a PPL, or sell it for something you can fly. I enter into the Dakota museum J3 Cub sweepstakes every year one thing I like to support them but I have a chance to own a free J3 Cub. If I were to win it I probably would get my sport pilot training in it.
@@Mike-01234 ; good luck. I asked around my local EAA this weekend, NO ONE knows anyone doing LSA training. Only the full PPL. IF they manage to get a LSA aircraft they MIGHT start LSA instruction, in 4 to 6 months.
