hey man, i was wondering where someone could go to replace the aluminum screws holding the cover on. i’m working on my project 1978 Suzuki GS750 and unfortunately i fucked up some of the screws (and maybe some of the threads, not sure yet). i did some reading and it seems like an aftermarket steel set of screws would work as long as an antiseize is used. the aluminum ones seem really hard to find, and expensive. any advice here? this is my first bike and i’m excited af but don’t wanna fuck it up
I try to avoid mixing metals when possible. If you are just trying to get going, steel and anti seize on screws you can get to easily to swap out later would be option B. Best of luck!
