I was living on the Aina and my gf and I, when we lived in Hawai'i...she is always talking about how she wants to go back to Hawaii because she never stops talking about how good the ramen and Chinese food was, especially local grinds. Well, now that I figured the recipe, I can make a kosher alternative for me to enjoy. Ukotsu Miso Chikin Chashu. Beef bones would have a similar richness while chicken thighs would work well as an alternative chashu meat. I could also have went with Shio broth but that involves quite a bit of fish, but it could also work.
I thought naruto just like a simple tonkotsu ramen, and the only thing I know about the story behind his favorite food are because the creator, Masashi Kishimoto love eating ramen in his youth and have spesific restaurant that became his model for Ichiraku. Anyway great content!
Every single time naruto orders ramen it's miso chashu omori, or tonkotsu miso chashu. Maybe that was kishimotos local version of tonkotsu that he had growing up.
When i was working in a ramen shop, they added sesame paste (canned with its oil) around 3/5 tbsp of that into what you mixed in the video. Makes it a bit nuttier

Close to three years ago at this point, my older brother took me out alongside his GF at the time to have me try out tonkotsu ramen, and I honestly couldn't believe how amazing of an experience it was. Since then I've gone down this huge rabbit hole of making my own ramen, and I'm proud to say that it's one of my favorite hobbies nowadays, me receiving fancy shoyus for Christmas and all. I'm actually making a batch of tonkotsu ramen as I'm writing this. :)

It's a pretty thick and rich style and to be honest, I'd rather just eat regular tonkotsu or regular miso, but maybe its just because I haven't had an outstanding bowl yet.

May I recommend putting thick cut cold chasu pork on a hot bowl of miso pork ramen, I had it in Sapporo and never forgot it legendary taste
