The Cody blindside is probably the most brutal, cut-throat, savage blindside ever seen in the game to date. I don't see it being knocked off it's #1 spot for a long while.
Obviously this is your opinion, but the most brutal blindside to the day has always been Matt’s from Survivor Redemption Island. He got back in the game and they INSTANTLY sent him back to redemption island.
Yep, singlehandedly slayed the frontrunner and flushed the idol from the game, also crippling the top alliances leaving only Ricard to be a big threat. Masterfully done, hit the bullseye in stealth mode.

The Shan blindside is at least Top 3 blindside. One bonus blindside isn’t a vote off, but Jesse blindsiding Jeanine by revealing he had her individual idol the whole time.
The sabiyah vote was incredible, and I think both sabiyah and kaleb were probably the two smartest players on the season, but they didn’t know how to manage their threat level, leading to their demise. Still an incredibly intriguing vote to think through and the idol drama just adds to the tribal

Thank you for the compilation. Totally agree with number 1, but number 2 for me is the Shan blindside just because the episode was so complex and so pivotal for the season. The edit was not good in 41, but the players were giving their best. Third place for Kellie.
While not necessarily a normal blindside, my favourite blindside of the entirety of the new era was Liana trying to steal Xanders idol with her Knowledge is Power advantage in 41. I was screaming at my computer to tell Xander to give his idol to Tiffany and I was ECSTATIC when the plan was executed perfectly. It's a shame that Xander turned that million dollar move into trash when he ruined his game bringing Erika to the end and botching his finale speech, but I was rooting for Erika anyways
It just wasn’t all that impressive considering it wasn’t all xanders move and he didn’t do anything the rest of the game. It wasn’t about his FTC performance at all

Emily played her blindside so stupidly. The entire cast knew Julie was playing her idol (they even had a discussion about it) and yet chose not to split the vote. Emily could've easily gone to Katurah and Jake and split their votes to Dee to get her out. Dee could've been a blindside as well if Katurah hadn't switched her vote last second to Julie. Then Katurah would've been sitting at final tribal and most likely won.

S41's blindsides are very underappreciated. That Shan's blindside is awesome. Brad's, JD's, and Genie's boots were so entertaining, especially how Shan and Ricard stole advatages back and forth.
I really feel like people forget the impact of the Shan vote now that it’s almost been 3 years. Game changing move for Ricard and Erika and the whole season was building up to it, unlike the Cody blindside which comes out of nowhere. It’s so damn good and deserves to be higher.
Bruh the Cody blindside was Jessie’s entire plan coming into fruition. Incredible meat shield gameplay and he would have won the season if the final challenge was about endurance and wanting it more, not juggling balls in a contraption

They didn’t show much but Jesse made a small comment about Karla possibly having a knowledge is power and it stuck in Cody’s mind so he gave the idol back to Jesse without him even asking! Crazy stuff. If Jesse won that season I think he’d be solid top 10 or 15 oat
That would’ve been an absolutely awful move for Julie. Drew goes to emily/katurah/Jake and then they have majority against Julie and Dee. By keeping Austin, it allows for there to be 3 duos, which allowed Dee to turn the tides on Drew.

Even though the blindside was very brutal at the time, it is very epic and 43 needed a moment so badly after being so bland from the beginning. Bring Cody and Jesse back
for me shan is still my #1 bcuz it was literally losing the main character of the season at final 8. plus she was set up so well and ricard being the one to pull the trigger was crazy to me.
I would have had Kellie's blindside at #1 but Cody is definitely up there. Even if it ended up increasing Jesse's threat level to the point that he was inevitably being put on fire, it's still an iconic move by my favorite New Era player.
to me, Omar's blindside is #1. Cody's blindside is really not top for me cos it's actually a dumb losing move for Jesse lmao. Omar's blindside helped Maryanne won her season, and the move was way harder to pull off compared to Jesse's move.
It was a good move to make. It guaranteed that if he were to make final 3, he wouldn't be sitting next to Karla or Cody. In any final 3 scenarios without Cody or Karla, Jesse gets every single vote and wins with a perfect game. The only issue is he underestimated Gablers fire making skills.
The move to blindside Cody was a necessary move, it was the unnecessary element of flushing Karla's idol that was bad. Jesse needed Karla in F4 so he had someone to make fire against.
Jesse shouldn't have used Cody's idol at that point if all the votes were going on Cody anyway why use his idol keep it show off you got Janine's next time and then you got Karla there to be taken out in fire Jesse screwed himself

Jesse was absolutely useless at challenges, so the fact that his entire plan came down to him needing to win immunity at final four, it essentially backed him into a corner I agree with him voting off Cody at 6, sure, but he should’ve played his idol on Karla and idoled out Gabler/Cass, and improving his chance at winning final four firemaking (he could probably only win against Karla due to her injury, so no matter what he needed Karla at final four.)
i’m looking at this as a perspective of the players and viewers; i think we weren’t shocked rocks didn’t go that early, but the shock of him, and drea, jonothan , lynze, tori and maryanne reactions were massive
season 41 if Erika had left, Shan would definitely win the game, she forgot one thing that everyone is there to win, not to just get into the final four.
Jesse did an amazing blindside against Cody, but that was also a nail of his coffin. Cody was loyal to him. If only he stuck with Cody, he might have a greater chance to be in the final 3 and probably win

I think Madi and Sarah were better blindsides that season, Brandon was a great one but Kane fell flat because we had just seen a Ratu go and it was obvious what the 3 stooges were up to and they were narratively marching to the endgame. For this reason after Brandon I didn't much enjoy 44 because it was so predictable imo. Kane Frannie Danny Jamie. Yeah "blindsides" I guess but meh. However, Sarah and Madi boots shocked the audience in real time. I'd replace Kane and Rocksroy with Sarah Wade who didn't even play her fake idol and James Jones who didn't play his Knowledge Is Power otherwise good list
The Bruce one feels scripted. I remember watching it for the first time and being like damn. They kept showing him talking about how he doesn’t and will never go home with an idol and I just knew that’s exactly what was gonna happen
Id put Madi and Sarah from 44 on here, James from 43 had a good reaction, Naseer from 41 potentially, and tho we could see it coming JD Brad and even Evvie thought they had the numbers. Hai Chanelle and Lydia from 42 were definitely all blindsided, as were Elie Geo Ryan Dwight and Jeanine in 43. Drew from 45 was also pretty good, even Brando

Emily really grew during the season. She was so socially awkward in the beginning but was aware of it and adjusted as Kaleb helped her.

Brandon was my personal favorite blindside. That tribe came in so cocky that it was glorious to see them get knocked down a peg.
They didn’t show much but Jesse made a small comment about Karla possibly having a knowledge is power and it stuck in Cody’s mind so he gave the idol back to Jesse without him even asking! Crazy stuff. If Jesse won that season I think he’d be solid top 10 or 15 oat

That would’ve been an absolutely awful move for Julie. Drew goes to emily/katurah/Jake and then they have majority against Julie and Dee. By keeping Austin, it allows for there to be 3 duos, which allowed Dee to turn the tides on Drew.

- the reactions of the blindsided/other contestants/jurors
This is just based on my opinion though

Survivor 45 was a horrible start of season, but after that, the season give us good blindsides 😊
Even though the blindside was very brutal at the time, it is very epic and 43 needed a moment so badly after being so bland from the beginning. Bring Cody and Jesse back

I would have had Kellie's blindside at #1 but Cody is definitely up there. Even if it ended up increasing Jesse's threat level to the point that he was inevitably being put on fire, it's still an iconic move by my favorite New Era player.
Emily's exit is still one of the hardest to warch! She was such a good player.

to me, Omar's blindside is #1. Cody's blindside is really not top for me cos it's actually a dumb losing move for Jesse lmao. Omar's blindside helped Maryanne won her season, and the move was way harder to pull off compared to Jesse's move.
It was a good move to make. It guaranteed that if he were to make final 3, he wouldn't be sitting next to Karla or Cody. In any final 3 scenarios without Cody or Karla, Jesse gets every single vote and wins with a perfect game. The only issue is he underestimated Gablers fire making skills.
The move to blindside Cody was a necessary move, it was the unnecessary element of flushing Karla's idol that was bad. Jesse needed Karla in F4 so he had someone to make fire against.
Jesse shouldn't have used Cody's idol at that point if all the votes were going on Cody anyway why use his idol keep it show off you got Janine's next time and then you got Karla there to be taken out in fire Jesse screwed himself

@@bomberdawesomestrongly disagree with this take - Jesse wins against Karla. Who cares about him voting her off. Jesse was absolutely useless at challenges, so the fact that his entire plan came down to him needing to win immunity at final four, it essentially backed him into a corner
I agree with him voting off Cody at 6, sure, but he should’ve played his idol on Karla and idoled out Gabler/Cass, and improving his chance at winning final four firemaking (he could probably only win against Karla due to her injury, so no matter what he needed Karla at final four.)
Emily's blindside makes me tear up i only recently got into survivor ive only seen 45 and 46 so emily and kellies struck me hard especially Emilys

i have explained the rocksroy blindside; the reactions from the cast and how comfortable he was that romeo was going home.
kane was up there because ratu felt so comfortable with tika - they had the majority against frannie with brandon’s blindside
I think Madi and Sarah were better blindsides that season, Brandon was a great one but Kane fell flat because we had just seen a Ratu go and it was obvious what the 3 stooges were up to and they were narratively marching to the endgame. For this reason after Brandon I didn't much enjoy 44 because it was so predictable imo. Kane Frannie Danny Jamie. Yeah "blindsides" I guess but meh. However, Sarah and Madi boots shocked the audience in real time. I'd replace Kane and Rocksroy with Sarah Wade who didn't even play her fake idol and James Jones who didn't play his Knowledge Is Power otherwise good list
The Bruce one feels scripted. I remember watching it for the first time and being like damn. They kept showing him talking about how he doesn’t and will never go home with an idol and I just knew that’s exactly what was gonna happen
Id put Madi and Sarah from 44 on here, James from 43 had a good reaction, Naseer from 41 potentially, and tho we could see it coming JD Brad and even Evvie thought they had the numbers. Hai Chanelle and Lydia from 42 were definitely all blindsided, as were Elie Geo Ryan Dwight and Jeanine in 43. Drew from 45 was also pretty good, even Brando
