I grew up on a small dairy farm in north east Iowa back in the 1960 to the mid 80’s. We milked around 40 to 50 cows. We had a pipe Line but didn’t milk in a parlor. We went to them LOL. I knew families who had big herds and miked in parlors. Yes getting things ready before milking and clean up after milking takes a while plus feeding. Then watching you I remembered how much water a dairy farm has to use. It took me back. Even tho things has changed in agriculture/dairy farming. That more things stay the same. Still hard work. Cows still have to be milked every day 365 days a year 😀👍🏻🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄

I had the pleasure of visiting a Kansas dairy farm about 25 years ago; they had a system that filtered and stored/chilled the raw milk in a vertical storage tank, with a hatch on the top in the barn. NOTHING compares to a ladle of 35f whole milk, right from the holding tank ! What a process and a lot of hard work. Great video and explanation of the entire process.
It's unbelievable how much work goes into just ONE milking! All the time, effort and expense that goes into the process. Thank you for the effort and dedication from you and your family (and all the farmers)!

Eric thanks for the parlor tour, when I was younger I milked in a double ten with 475 cow (plus sick or treated cows). It interesting to watch how others do it. We always fed grain in the parlor, use plain water to wash, and always had lots of poop to clean up. I think not feeding them on the parlor cuts down on pooping. Wow, great farm , and nice young man showing it to us.
Eric, your videos are very informative and enjoyable. Thank you for all your hard work, and keep 'em coming!
been watching since the first handful of videos. never disappointed at your professionalism and the clarity of your explanations. keep up the good work
I've been watching a few milking videos. I have to tell you that yours is the absolute cleanest I have seen. You obviously take pride in your work and respect the health of your cows. Doing an absolute wonderful job, you could teach a few old timers a thing or two.
Amazing how meticulous you are about your work. Very clean and sanitary. Thanks for making the videos for us to enjoy.
I thought you already showed us the milking process, but never to this detail - almost like we were there working. thanks for putting this together, someday maybe I'll be a dairyman......

Loved the little drop of milk on Sashas nose 😂you are so efficient and you make it look so easy you could probably do it in your sleep 😴!! Loved loved this video 😊
Thanks Eric. Everyone needs to know how much work goes into Farming and milk production! Thanks again.
man that some hard work. Thanks for showing us the process very cool to watch
Terrific video. Interesting to watch all the steps you go through. Thank you.
PS I'm so glad you do your channel. We as people here in our good old USA take for granted going to the grocery store picking up milk, butter, bread etc... Wow HARD WORK.
Thank you for this very informative video! I honestly enjoy every single one of your videos. I understand you can only explain so much about routine jobs but I hope to see more videos like this. Explaining all details about your crops, tractors, etc. I'm a Blackberry farmer Down in Mexico and it's so different from what you and other farmers do in the states... I have few cross as well as some cattle but everything is just so different... They're always out in the feilds here and produce much less milk.
The way you done your work.
It's awesome...
I hope my dairy farming will be success.
Fantastic video, as always ERIC!!!
Keep it up my friend!!!
Love this video! I like all the technical explanations. I wish we still had local dairy farms where I live.
Eric, thank you for showing the after processes with the milk. I think I am one that has requested that. With observation from my uncle several years ago, it is amazing to see the advancement in the process.
Awesome video thanks for the insight into milking. You make it looks easy!
Nice video of how the milking machines and how the process works

Your videos are great, Eric. Y’all have a very impressive setup! Always amazes me how conditioned the girls are when it’s time to milk.
U have a very clean milking parlor the farm I live on has 400 cow about 300 milking and they don’t have a parlor they just put up units and clean the tets the put the units on love the vids keep it up
Wow love how well ya take care of the cows awesome video
People don't have any idea what it takes to bring milk to their store. Boy, you use a lot of water.
I'm a retired piping engineer and at one time I did a CIP system for the Tillamook dairy whey system.
You really work hard and very efficient. Thanks for your videos. (I live in Vancouver, WA)
I love watching your videos. You do a great job explaining everything. I grew up milking with a step saver system and never worked in a parlor. I may have had more interest in milking if I had.
That was great! Helped me to understand it better and answered some question I had. A blessing thx
