Until I started watching farming vids I had NO IDEA how sharp/business minded you need to be to run a farm. These guys (successful farmers) are amazing business people.
hi George, it's your cousin Cornell in Canada. I just happened to be watching this video & was pleasantly surprised to see it was a tour of your farm. What a great video of your awesome farm!
Just like several other dairies who sell milk, they ship the milk to the creamery to get processed and they run the milk down the drain & send the farmer the bill because they are short of workers
Welcome to our channel! Thanks so much for your question. We’re curious to know where you came across the information that the cows produce an average of 60 lbs. With 3,600 Holstein cows in a free-stall system receiving high-quality feed, it’s natural to expect higher production averages.
@@SantafeAgroinstituto_US I looked on the internet to see what the average production was for a cow and it said 7 gallons, which converted to about 60 lbs. Your claims amount to an average of approximately 100 lbs. Thats more than 50% higher and I find it hard to believe.
@@andrewsmith2591i‘m a technician in the dairy industry meaning i see a lot of different farms every day and everyone has a different average output. some have only 40 lbs and some have up to 100 lbs. it is possible if the conditions are very good meaning good food, clean cowshed, good genes and little to no stress for the cows. you need to invest in your cows to reach an output that high but if you do it correctly it’s possible
Im interested in a job. But I will need a visa. I also have extensive dairy experience. I am willing to work a bit cheaper if I get accommodation. Thanks
7 minutes into the video and already want to leave, although it is interesting to "see". I don't understand why the camera is focused only on this guys mug, describing to us what he sees. This isn't a dam radio show or an audio book. Show us what you are there to film.
I see many foreign workers, don't you support America ? I know they good workers, but there's many loosers on the streets, you rich need to step up an help out.
I don’t know if you’ve ever worked in the dairy or not. I have small scale. Also been around large scale. It’s not for everybody. It just isn’t to me that smells good but I’m a farm boy. A lot of people find it not good.

I quit watching @7:23 and left a thumbs down before closing the door.
"As far as that goes" say something else dude, it's annoying, ruins the whole video hearing the same line every 20 seconds 🙄
