I had a damn interview I got there almost 30 minutes late and he didn’t even bother with me so y’all think whatever you want. Thanks for everything Super I don’t care what any of these people had to say keep doing your thing.
You say "he didn't even bother with me" after showing up 30 minutes late like that came to you as a surprise? You should've taken the ride and did what you had to do as a man with kids, weirdo.
But you were going to be there @12:30 so you weren’t late. What happened that you ended up being 30 mins late then? I feel you didn’t try hard enough because you would have made that appointment. And that’s after he gave you another chance after not making that first appointment. Not a good look for you dude.
I see drug addiction written all over his face! She even said, he tested positive for fentanyl at his last job interview. You don’t test positive by smelling it! Why have another child and he still hasn’t found a JOB! She should go and stay with her brother with her kids! That dude is a LOSER!She shouldn’t be doing the daily pay thingy, she should be paying the hotel in advance. Paying it daily runs up the costs! Her going back to work, TWO WEEKS after a C-Section is so dangerous to her health! She’s in hopes of him getting a job, so she’s believing his lies! Let’s hope she wakes up and decides to only support herself and her babies! She needs to drop this rock immediately! This is sad!
@Sometimes I Get Carried Away he may or may not be a “junkie”, but he might be taking something and waiting a few days before donating plasma! There’s too many jobs out here to get. He’s over qualified, doesn’t make any sense. Walmart, Target, or any restaurant would hire on the spot! They’re not looking for qualifications, just workers! It’s been FIVE years, and you mean to tell us that he hasn’t been able to find a job that he’s qualified for? Lies!
As a social worker I see women like her daily. They are co dependent and have savior mentality at this risk of their own well being. He is clinging onto her for life and she wants to feel wanted and loved so there you have it. Terrible cycle. Meanwhile, neither can raise or parent their children. Thankfully, her brother stepped in. They will remember that their mother chose a man over them and will be resentful.
I didn't have kids, but I was the one who worked. I couldn't see past the BS of the guy. I was dependent on him emotionally. But I did wake up one day. I have a place with my cats and never forget how grateful I am.
@@marjorieallard6665 I can relate to what you've said word-for-word. Even the part about the cats lol Seriously, best decision of my life was when I finally woke up and decided to leave.
Mikey sounds like he is full of excuses. Been a stay at home dad for 5 years? C’mon man. Your problems didn’t start when your girlfriend missed 2 weeks of work to birth a baby resulting in her missing pay. He has had plenty of time to get a job or some type of income to better their life. I hate to see women chose a man over their own children. Sad situation all around.
Maybe Mikey is not good at working thru problems. Not everyone with degrees are good working thru problems. I suggested they need to learn how to pray. I have used prayer as problem solving tool since December 2009. In my experience prayer does help you to work thru problems, as you get answers to your prayers and your problems become less.
I thought the same thing. He probably didn't show because he knew he would fail the drug test. I hope this wonderful lady mandates rehab or he can fend for himself. It would honestly be the best thing for both of them as well as their children.
My glaring observation and advice to women of child bearing age is to Protect Your Womb. If she was childless and struggling to be with him, she would eventually break free and might do well on her own. But having had his children binds her (psychologically) in a different way. Ladies, if you know that your partner is behind the eight-ball financially, please don't bring babies into the equation. You're not giving them a fair chance because love alone won't get the job done when it comes to raising productive children.
Love you’re not wrong about this. My sons dad USED to be a deadbeat and I used to be broke. Through hard work and communication with him I went back to school and worked and he watched our son for a while so I could better my life. Long story short- I got a good full time job, then a house, then a better car. He too bettered his life and ended up bonding with our son and being a great dad. I know my story is the EXCEPTION not the rule and I’m damn lucky. Two people both WANTED to change and better themselves and our son now has two responsible parents. Like I said... My story is the EXCEPTION not the rule and I shouldn’t have been in situation to begin with. Being irresponsible, blaming others, and no accountability will get you no where but heartache in life!
I bet if you heard his story, he'd describe being raised by his mama. Now he's an emotional mess because he never had dad around to set him straight, and found his new mama to take care of him.
We all knew there was NO job interview when he refused the ride. What happened to "My interview is at 2pm but I have a bus pass and will get there at 12:30"? Everyone can clearly see that this man has a substance abuse problem. How do you allow this man to not work a job for 5 years? This woman is seriously in denial and I feel sorry for her and those children.
True, This guy doesn't want to work. He can't find a job in this economy? Even with a bad President, there are jobs galore, because people don't want to work after Covid. He would rather live off of her and public assistance and get as much of a free ride as he can. You have to help yourself first. This guy is a user and a loser. That woman should run away from this jerk.
You can definitely tell. If you look closely after haircut. You can see breakout in the face around the mouth. This dude is a dope head, hope he gets some help. He talks about being sad about it, but he doesn't have the strength to put it down for his family. You cannot help a person who won't help themselves.
The young lady doing the apartment building tour in the beginning sounds like a competent gem of an employee…her positioning of the facilities, etc. is top notch!
Yes! I agree! I was very impressed by the way she presented the property and communicated with the guest. Someone needs to recruit her to be a realtor. She could do very well for herself.
100%. Unless he’s ingesting fentanyl, there is No way he would “test positive”. It’s like someone saying you caught chlamydia from a toilet seat. Doesn’t happen.
Maybe it's me, but I heard her complaining about roaches in the other places they lived. Looking at all the big gulp cups sitting around that room. They might have contributed to that situation. He's not working and won't even clean up the place. Thing that make you go hmmm....
Sorry but here in Houston (and various other states) roaches are in EVERY SINGLE APARTMENT. Even when you stat clean. Landlords are responsible for making sure the walls and foundation are bug free. Cant clean behind drywall hun. It’s a structural issue that requires maintenance.
@@sayyadinawitch We have bark scorpions here in Arizona, but thankfully most responsible apartment complexes will spray regularly, or at a tenant's request.
I work with the homeless and they keep the big gulp cups and the McDonald’s cups because you can go into the store and get a refill for free or cheaper. In the McDonald’s here if you don’t buy anything you are ask to leave. If you have a cup, you go in and get the refill and you can sit for a while in a cool setting if it is hot. It’s why you usually see the cups from fast food or mini marts.
That man is horrible for forcing his childs mother to work after giving birth and then let the kids go to foster care. She could find a homeless shelter for her and the kids and let him sleep on the concrete.
I used to be in this situation. No one forces you to do anything unless theres a human trafficking hostage situation. She can leave him. Our actions and choices results to our very own situations!
@@spalahang So true. Something tells me she has low self-esteem and is "settling" with him as she doesn't think she can do any better. So she's willing to believe him, plus she has a child with him. I would never chose a man over my children, but that's what she's doing. I agree...she could easily leave him but she won't.
Her kids aren't in foster care...they are living with her brother now because of their current living conditions (cockroaches, drug-infested area, etc.).
It’s ridiculous how expensive apartments have become. Just the application fees and security deposit is enough to deter many people. Now every complex has mandatory extra fees like valet trash service. Why are all new apts labeled “luxury” now? I feel sorry for young people today trying to get started in life. Oh and that couple you interviewed, I feel bad for her especially but all I kept hearing from them was excuses. There is definitely some drug activity going on there.
Holy cow. That guy is definitely not sober. He can’t get a job because he can’t piss clean. They won’t tell the truth. Just complain about their situation.
Might not be drugs. But probably IS! No reason to be living this way if one shows up and works, has a credit history, a safety savings fund. Not that difficult, unless all money is spent on heroin.
@@mommak8342 yes I think the way this man presents himself just shows, well, it just shows everything. Smoking, lying on the bed the way he is during this video, mumbling. Feel sorry for the wife, kids and dog.
I’m 26 and I’ve lived in “luxury housing” a few times in my life. It’s very beautiful but it’s cheaply made and a horrible experience dealing with property management companies. At this point my goal is to buy a 3 unit apartment building and live in 1 unit. That’s the most economical way for my fiancé and I to become homeowners and eventually buy a larger single family home. Hoping and praying something changes because it literally gets worse every year.
It's the financialization of our economy. We didn't have the inflation problem until the Federal Reserve lowered rates near zero so Wall Street could get cheap loans and drive up asset prices.
The problem is, she loves him. She's embarrassed of him & tries to make excuses for him, but she knows the truth, which is, that she'll never get out of that cycle as long as she stays with him. She's so worried about his well being without her, that she lost her children & is losing herself.
If she could not work or became ill, he would be on to the next low self-esteam woman WITH a paycheck in a blink of an eye and wouldn't care two hoots about her at all.
This is frustrating on his end. My husband had never spent more then 2 days looking for a job in the phx area. There are SOOO many construction, HVAC, plumbing, fast food jobs and more hiring everywhere. He’s NOT over qualified but he’s not under qualified and I’m sure can be taught a trade. He just doesn’t want it enough.
People seem to misunderstand what “overqualified” actually means. It’s not that employers think you’re to good for the job they have on offer, but that you’re likely to leave at the first chance of better job that more aligns with your resume. Why would an employer want to take the person they’re fairly sure will be gone as soon as possible, when they can higher and train someone with less options in life than their low paying job?
Right, he doesn’t want it at all. Even as a SAHM I found a way to make money online side hustle and make some money to contribute after I first had my kids as newborns until I could go work my real job while their dad was working just cause I didn’t want to feel like a bum ya know?
As a mechanic with qualifications and a degree these last 6 months I had the hardest time I ever had finding a mechanic job. It’s actually scary how hard it was for me to find a job I never had this issue before. Luckily I found one and luckily I was employed the entire time while searching. The economy is scary right now
If that lady at 12:00 did her life solo w the kids, her life would be easier. I understand you don’t want to be lonely. But mothering an extra adult will always keep one behind.

Starting early is the best way of getting ahead to build wealth, investing remains a priority. I learnt from my last year's experience, i am able to build a suitable life because I invested early ahead this time
yeah investment is the key to sustaining your financial longevity but venturing into any legitimate Investment without a proper guidance of an expert can lead to a great loss too
Did anyone else catch that there was 2 different reasons why they were evicted? They had so many roaches they were refusing to pay rent but then at the same time, they wanted to renew their lease and weren’t allowed to? There’s just so much that doesn’t add up about these people
She was on maternity leave and they go behind on rent as her job didn't give her PAID maternity leave, they had roaches because of low-income housing which cheap gov't landlords only will spray one apartment not the entire building so they just come back. It was a long story and they interrupted each other so it was confusing, I know.

I considered a motel after my apartment complex ended my lease after 4 years. But most apparently had bed bugs and still cost over $1200 a month. I decided to stay in my Jeep for a month until my apartment was available.
I did the same thing. I stayed in my car for 3 month in the dead of summer (June-july -aug) got a 2nd job working at Amazon. Worked at the hospital from 8-4 and Amazon 6-3am. I was able to buy my first 🏡 which was a lot cheaper than getting an apartment.
My advice is to buy real property. Even if it is a studio apartment. Become an owner. If your credit is not great, fix it. Even if your credit is not great, speak with a mortgage broker. Speak with NACA. Ask about FHA and USDA loans. Ask about down payment assistance programs. If you can consistently pay rent for 4 years, you can pay a mortgage. But after owning a property for 4 years you will have equity. Equity offers better options. Good Luck.
She’s in denial she speaks every time he speaks because she knows his drug use is showing. She’s in love to the point she’ll ride with him to skid row. If she left on her own she could get to the point of living in those nice apartments & get her kids back. He’s all talk… she knows it… until she starts believing who he is based on his actions vs words she will continue to sink with him. Just truly sad… I’d love to hear what her brother thinks about this guy.
Watching this gives me the worst anxiety and flashbacks to such a terrible time in my life. When a man sucks the life out of you while you just try to hold things down, has to be one of the worst experiences to go through. He’s clearly on substances. He clearly has zero intention of working or getting clean and will continue to use his wife as long as she lets him. This video made me sick to my stomach.

I will and I understand. I've been living in a motel for the past year. I have bad credit and a past eviction so it's hard to find a decent place to live on my income. I keep saying things are going to get better and this is temporary, but when you are alone in a motel room it can be pretty depressing.

Of COURSE he could have. He could also go to a temporary agency who are always looking for workers to send to companies who these days RELY on temp workers. I just retired from a manufacturing plant after twenty five and a half years, and the entire time we used temporary workers for all three shifts. Yes! Especially right now it’s dang near impossible to get a job. I started telling myself “ I GET to go to work today” instead of I HAVE to go to work today” Sounds lame lol but it really does change your mindset!
He just seems lazy. He sees himself as above doing certain work. Dude hasn't worked in 5 years so he is not "over qualified" for anything. Probably content letting her pay for everything while he spends his days complaining about how the system is rigged against him. She seems hard working and would be better off without him.
In fairness it is mainly this expensive for them because they have messed up their lives to the point that the only place that will even consider letting them in the door is a fricking hotel. A HOTEL! It would be like if I got so many DUIs that they took my license away and then I got banned from city busses because I kept getting in fights or what have you on them... then I sat here complaining about how expensive it is to have to take a taxi everywhere. Yeah, taxi's... like hotels... aren't set up to be the cheapest option. However, they are the only ones that will take you at this point.
I look forward to these videos from Big Supa. I noticed this woman is seriously co-dependent x10. She like many women with low self worth will hold onto a man at any cost. Depending on the position you're applying for, only list experiences for the position. If you're a civil engineer (CE) and unemployed, do not list your CE experiences if you are applying for a janitorial or restaurant position.
I've worked for many restaurants and they'll hire anybody with a pulse. New hires come and go all the time, nobody gives a rats ass whether you have a degree or not. If you have a bachelors degree, go apply to any restaurant. I guarantee you 90% will hire you. Restaurants, theaters, bookstores, etc are FILLED with college graduates.
Mike - it is very brave of you to share your life on here. But as recovering addict myself I can spot someone dying from the disease. He is her biggest problem bar none. Unload him the sooner the better. So, men are not allowed to suffer from depression? The man tried to kill himself twice. He needs to be in some type of facility to get to the root of his problem. It could be drugs or psychosis.
The irony of poverty is that it can be one of the most expensive lifestyles. If you can't qualify to rent an apartment, you end up in a hotel AND eating out WAY more than if you had access to a proper kitchen. This is a LIVING REALITY and I'm glad someone is shining a spotlight on this!!!! Someone I dated previously is going thru the same thing currently in their life, but the good thing is that her son is living with her in a 2-bedroom motel in GA. She lost everything in storage not long ago after having to move from a place she was renting because the owner sold it. He gave her time to move, but she couldn't find a suitable place to replace where she lived and ended up renting the motel every week. At the same time, she was unemployed and dealing with medical issues and her options were limited. She now has a good job working for Toyota in GA, but she's still stuck in the hotel situation, and she tries to hustle to make extra money. I'm doing ok myself and have my own apartment in TX. I offered for her to move here so she could save up money to help her get on her feet, but she's got a teenage son and of course her job with Toyota that she just got. She's not going to give up what she already has to move here. All I can say is, that it doesn't take much for people to end up in this situation. Honestly, she's doing better than me as far as the job is concerned and sometimes, I wonder how I'm able to just make it every month myself?? I'm grateful that I can stand on my own two feet and still take care of everything myself.
All these fees before even being accepted is what I call BS fees. It doesn’t cost 200$ to run that check and they are making a mint between application fees and check fees alone.

Working in the medical field for 20 years, I see these people all the time. It's never their fault. They talk and talk and talk but never take personal responsibility. They have a sob story and blame everything else and are professional victims. It's all drugs and alcohol at the end of the day. They come in talking about how they never do drugs or drink, but you can tell merely by looking at them, they are full of shit. I have seen what drugs and alcohol do to people. You can't hide the effects of the drugs and alcohol on your body and mind.
@Freddie Cunningham Helping is fine to a point. The problem is helping turns into enabling eventually. They get too much help and are always looking for a handout and stay the perpetual victim. I nearly lived her life for 10 years, just short of living in hotels, but with my mother in a 35ft Travel Trailer!😢😬😖😭 with my ex and 2 kids! One was a new born at the time. I finally had enough, told him to get OUT, got a job myself, and moved out of the hell hole I lived in. He never paid child support, (no problem, I collected for HIS inheritance from his parents!) I have remained, both kids went to College and are successful and I have 2 Beautiful Granddaughters, so far😉 (that he has never seen 😁)and I have retired! Last I heard he's still a bum, still no job (and I hear no Teeth 😬) it was a VERY small town🤷♀️
I do agree. How could you agree to a haircut and then turn down a ride to the interview. We didn't have to be an Oracle to predict what was going to happen. I wonder what his bachelor's degree was in. It certainly wasn't in finance!
@@SquidSnuggles Ah, yes. Unfortunately the reason these people can feel as entitled as they do is because of people like you. This 'man' has not had any kind of employment in 5 YEARS. (strangely SHE seems to find jobs). Leaves his wife and children homeless and often without enough food. Obviously has a substance abuse issue, but that's all ok. His life might have taken a turn for the worse. We don't know - you are also making assumptions about that. He needs to be held to a higher standard. The man has children. My enormous taxes contribute to this man's irresponsible lifestyle. I have every right to be 'judgemental'.

America. I got put out of my apartment for one month's rent. I got the money up within the month, but late fees made it more than I could afford. At the same time, they did a dog amnesty at my apartments for all the people who were sneaking their pets in without paying. They would allow the pets to stay for free. So the beginning of this video reminded me of that. Such luxury right next to the people who don't have much. This is the American way.
I had two great parents and grew up in a home. I can't imagine it but I have compassion for those that didn't have the advantage that I had. My mother was a stay-at-home mom and an intellect. Almost all of my siblings and I have advanced degrees.
I live in Tempe. Have for 30 years. Tempe has invisible gated communities. The invisible gates are regulations and practices. It is not a kind city. Doesn't matter who is mayor or which party they belong to, because nothing changes.
No, that's not how it works. It's called individual effort brings about individual results. And being that all these people are grown, they get to decide what kind of excuses they want to live by or what kind of life they are going to have. And the parents success or lack of success flows over to THEIR children and that is without exception. I heard a bunch of excuses which is common when people get caught up in these types of ruts. They have made a whole lot of mistakes for sure. And it all comes down to the mindset. It also lets you know the truth that white privilege is just something politicians sell us. For I have seen a whole lot more white people begging on the street corners and living these type of struggling existence. Never let anyone sell you anything but individual effort and responsibility. Any excuse is enough to land you where these people are.
I couldn’t rent in my 20s because I was broke and my parents had bad credit and couldn’t co-sign for me. I kept seeing kids my age walking into the real estate office with their parents to sign a lease, no problem. That’s where I learned about generational wealth and I promised myself I would be that parent for my kids one day. It took years and A LOT of struggle, but I finally have a perfect credit and own my home. It’s doable y’all! Don’t make excuses, just focus on a goal .
Blame it on the economy they have to pay utilities and people to come in and clean the room, and a lot of people destroyed the room. Our government needs to build more affordable housing for people in need. Besides this guy is making a lot of rescue sitting home for 5 years saying that you cannot get a job because you're overqualified yeah okay while she goes out to work pregnant and all that's crazy I hate to see a mother put her man before her kids because without him I'm sure she'll be doing just fine with her kids whole situation is sad and he's lazy.
debt to income dependant security deposit and $200 +$50 application fee? Rent is $2150 so she mentioned security could be $1000 to $2150 ( I doubt anyone qualifies for the $500 security deposit). no evictions, high credit score. The problem I see from looking "outside the fishbowl", is that credit score trumps almost everything. If you have evictions, low cedit score etc.....then you will not qualify for an apartment no matter how high or low the rent is.
Used to be credit checks were never done for renting apartments. Was a lot more affordable even working poor could afford rent so long as you had a job, even at minimum wage. It’s a sin rent is so much now.
This couple I feel bad for. It's so true that when you have to live in a hotel the cops treat you like your an addict. My wife and I lived in some of the hotels she mentioned. It's sooo hard to get back in a normal apartment after losing everything and having to live in a car or hotel. Good luck!!! You will make it!!! Don't give up
I really don't think he is going on a job interview who would turn down a ride especially when he has no car him and her said he has a hard time lying but yet he is probably lying about the interview. He might be lying about having a college degree I hate to judge people but I am not sure if he is trying hard to find work something seems off something is just not right. He can go to a temp agency that will have you working fast something is better than nothing
I do property management. Sadly took a risk on 3 families like this. Only 1 remains other 2 families were evicted before a month. They committed hate crimes against the other tenants. Breaks my heart and I no longer believe everything they say. You can see he's influenced by a substance
Respect to you, Super. Cali uses the phrase "affordable housing" to manipulate all kinds of theft but never addresses the actual issues. We have one journalist who, just like you, talks to the people. It's very educational. 🏆
I am a landlord in Los Angeles and it’s totally illegal to have bedbugs. In fact, you can go to court and Sue for any damage caused to you and lawyers are very worried about that always report bedbugs right away, and if your landlord isn’t taking care of it make sure you go to the housing department.
He could start day labor: clean up construction, landscaping ,tomorrow. He is too picky with his supposed degrees. Put down the cancer sticks (at 6 bucks a pack),pick up a shovel and get working
She's a hard worker, for sure, but she has such low self-esteem to stay with this drugged out, user. How he can let her play Mommy to him for five years whilst he does drugs at the loss of their daughters is beyond me.
She won’t. I’ve seen it too many times. Abusive husbands/boyfriends with varying levels of abusiveness, multiple baby mamas, drug users or alcoholics, and they’ll stand by them and defend them with every ounce in their bodies.
My family had low income rentals for a long time. But many people didn’t qualify for apartments because they either trashed their previous rentals, or had been evicted because of drugs. They usually ended up spending more on hotels than renting.
I do understand it to some degree: there's inherently higher risk trusting when someone who has been tried and convicted for a serious crime. But at what point should that not matter anymore? 5 years? 10? 20? It's just cruel that the stigma never goes away. I wish I had the answers.
Sometimes in life one needs to let go If one person does more that the other. It's time to let go. Poor does not meanto be ashamed. But this needs to be fit. Let him go. Thank you Super for this educational interview.
anyone notice how happy the good boy looked on the second segment haha. what a nice dog, it does show a little bit of what kind of people the owners are.
I'd pick up literal shit with my hands all day if I had to in order to support my kids. I'd offer the first day for free to show how motivated I am. Whatever it takes.
I'm glad you made this video I'm from Chicago but, when I moved to Indianapolis for 6 yrs I was surprised how many people live and how many hotels had weekly rates but, from $250 years ago to 300 to $350 a week it's basically your check if you making $10 to $15 hour. You can't save up to move out!! Now imagine you got a girl and kids. I sacrificed and slept in my car for 2 weeks to get out. Once my check was screwed up and I didn't have my weekly rent. I told the owner my boss was going to cut me a paper check. The hotel manager said hey no problem just leave your things and pay me when you get back. Well I got back after the bank was closed and the check cashiers was skeptical of the signature check. So I slept in my car for a night till I was able to cash it. If your credit not perfect and I'm talking 600 or you can have a 10 to 15 year old eviction not to mention some places want 2 months security and you have a car need maintenance and $4-5 dollar a gallon gas and lastly you remember to eat. Once you move in a motel it's nearly impossible to move out. A lot of apartments don't care how old your eviction is. They NOT excepting you even though I make twice as much now. RENT in major cities in the WORST neighborhoods in Chicago are More than most rural areas. Houses in bad neighborhoods are $250,000 to $300,000
I lived in a motel back in 2002. Crazy place. But they charged us $250 weekly. Which I thought was NUTS. I mean hell, back then you could have gotten a really nice apartment for that amount. One down the road was renting a 2 BR for $700 weekly. I thought he was insane.
Yeah, but these hotel rooms are furnished and utilities are covered. They probably include cable and internet as well. Apt's do not provide all that. And they have the expense of cleaning the rooms after people come and go daily.
@@davidhutchinson5233 Well, the thing about hotels are that they aren't meant to be cheap. They aren't set up that way. There is a reason her daily rate keeps going up and down. Some days/weeks they have a lot of people in rooms and some days they don't. When you go to a hotel you basically are indirectly paying for all the empty rooms also. On top of that, the hotel is taking on a TON more risk. People checking in aren't putting down 2 months pay in advance in the event they mess up the place... bring bed bugs in and forces the hotel to shut off that area until it can be addressed... etc.
Yes. You cannot save when every dime goes to necessary items. Living in a hotel you can’t save a dime. People here are quick to have “solutions “. They have no idea what this life is like.
@@extendedpinky IT IS OBVIOUS that these people , as many are, were giving assistance by family members first and then told to leave because they would not or could not get their act together. We had a case where inlaws were living in hotel situation and my daughter brought them in for 9 months, no substance abuse but mental , emotional, lack of financial and work stability, took a while but happy to report THAT THEY TOOK ASSISTANCE, FIRM LOVING CRITIC, GOT THEIR CRAP TOGETHER, TODAY THEY HAVE THEIR OWN APARTMENT, SHE IS A MANAGER FOR A STORE, HAS A CARE, 5 YEARS LATER! BUT THEY WORKKKKKKKKKKKKED THEIR BUTS OFF! BUT THEY DID IT. STOP APOLOGIZING FOR PEOPLE, THEY ARE NOT PETS, THEY ARE HUMANS, THEY ARE NOT TO BE TAKEN CARE OF LIKE KITTENS AND PUPPIES BUT GIVEN THE SKILLS TO SUCCEED! ITS ULTIMATELY UP TO THEM
Big Super your an amazing person helping them out like this. I honestly don’t think this man had a job interview. He had said he has been trying to find a job and no one will hire him. Ok if that is true, why at the end did the guy say it’s his first job interview in 5 years? Get a security job and work nights if you have too, do handy work and side jobs, heck do online surveys and make a few bucks a day if you have too. Don’t just sit and waste away.
I peeped that too! He responded above and said he arrived 30 minutes later for job interview and managed didn’t want to be bothered and he doesn’t seem to get it! Super offered him a ride. Sad! Hopefully, he’ll get together.
Like she indirectly points out, the people moving into that cheaper apartment complex are paying more than just cash. They also have paid over the years by building a good credit rating... not getting arrested... not getting evicted... not doing drugs... etc. I feel for this couple but they didn't just fall into this situation and they sure as heck weren't pushed into it.
we are raising people with common sense, self reliability, responsibility! all the things you mentioned are called copping skills that are learned or taught by parents and in some cases a finance class in high school. I exposed my kids to susan orman from very young, my own habits of paying on time and making sure to show them how and what happens if you dont! and how substance abuse of any kind is stupid and its allowing someone to make you a SLAVE to them and the crap they sell! never be a slave to credit, finances, substances! it worked!
I liked the juxtaposition of the new place and then the situation that these two are in because its the reality for so many people. This was a great video.
Living in a hotel can seem like a endless loop. I did it with a mentally I'll son and another that was in his last year of highschool. It was ROUGH. I worked 4 jobs to get out of that loop and my son did graduate. Took 2 years...but I never want to be in that situation again.
Stayed at a Microtel Inn for about 10 months. After doing some research, I learned after 28 days I could establish residency. From there I would be exempt from paying the rental or hotel tax. Saved me about $250 a month.
You must be retarded. These people are druggies and 100% responsible for the situation they are in. Both are also very poor liars, so easy to see through.
OK on what planet does one fail a drug test because the neighbor is using drugs?😂 those two people are in their situation because they have poor judgment. They live in denial, and they have an excuse for everything.
I’ve actually failed a drug test because my friends smoked and i didn’t at the time, i failed and on the drug test it shows how potent it was and it was only “mildly present” but they let me go since it wasn’t a lot in my system
I actually inhaled opium smoke without smoking it and it tripped me off. Now that I have not been using weed for the past 4 years, one time I inhaled by mistake the smoke from a passing by stranger and I got high, that's why I keep an axe and big sword to fend off drug addicts who would try to set up a temporary smoking place near the flats I live in. Now they seem to misbehave so I bought a handgun, drugs are no joke
his only concern is getting high. And the GF has low self esteem so she enables him . The fact he turned down ride for his job interview says it all. Folks need to want to stop using drugs for themselves or it will never work
The creator could possibly have picked a better family or individual to make his point, or edited out the fentanyl story, since they didn’t have accurate information about what happened, at the least. This is working against the many healthy people who are left without affordable housing in this economy. At the same time, the man in the video may have been exposed to fentanyl another way, such as touching a dollar bill it was snorted off of. They may not be aware of how it is absorbed, if they don’t use it, and made a false assumption. It’s even more likely that the test was a false positive or a screening that was not followed up by a gram stain and he didn’t know to ask. This happened to me, once, and I didn’t know to ask for a confirmatory test, precisely because I was not familiar with illicit drugs or their testing. I’m also in the recovery field now and I don’t see any reason to assume these two use because of that story. I’ve had a lot of personal and family experience with the issue, am certified and in a Master’s program. I’m interested in helping people who want support in their recovery process, not second-guessing people not court ordered or seeking services.
@@Adrian10_14. Yeah, I tested positive for cocaine, below the threshold of certainty, because my partner relapsed and we were in close contact. It did not qualify as a true positive, at the lab. I don’t know if I touched something of his or if he cheeked it and I kissed him, or what. It happens. They did a study and found that a surprising number of dollar bills have cocaine on them. People also snort fentanyl. If neighbors used fentanyl and they touched anything in common, it’s a possibility a small amount was absorbed.

I thought the same thing. He probably didn't show because he knew he would fail the drug test. I hope this wonderful lady mandates rehab or he can fend for himself. It would honestly be the best thing for both of them as well as their children.
Oh yes.
Real talk: if a man is prettier than you, he's finna try and use you for something. It may not be politically correct to say it, but it's true.
Very insightful and TRUE!!! Great advice.

I considered a motel after my apartment complex ended my lease after 4 years. But most apparently had bed bugs and still cost over $1200 a month. I decided to stay in my Jeep for a month until my apartment was available.
I would have done the same to save that money.
Good Luck.

For I have seen a whole lot more white people begging on the street corners and living these type of struggling existence. Never let anyone sell you anything but individual effort and responsibility. Any excuse is enough to land you where these people are.
Are you saying they discriminate against low income people?
I couldn’t rent in my 20s because I was broke and my parents had bad credit and couldn’t co-sign for me. I kept seeing kids my age walking into the real estate office with their parents to sign a lease, no problem.
That’s where I learned about generational wealth and I promised myself I would be that parent for my kids one day.
It took years and A LOT of struggle, but I finally have a perfect credit and own my home. It’s doable y’all! Don’t make excuses, just focus on a goal .
It's crazy all these motels 6's used to be 50 to 55 bucks a night cash pay. It's crazy they are jacking up the rates on people like this.
It was originally six bucks. That's why they called it that

debt to income dependant security deposit and $200 +$50 application fee? Rent is $2150 so she mentioned security could be $1000 to $2150 ( I doubt anyone qualifies for the $500 security deposit). no evictions, high credit score. The problem I see from looking "outside the fishbowl", is that credit score trumps almost everything. If you have evictions, low cedit score etc.....then you will not qualify for an apartment no matter how high or low the rent is.
THIS!
Used to be credit checks were never done for renting apartments. Was a lot more affordable even working poor could afford rent so long as you had a job, even at minimum wage. It’s a sin rent is so much now.

You forgot your rent cannot be more than 30% of your income and you cannot have any felonies because these days, it is a life sentence.

What’s the journalist name and YT channel?
Oh hell. No! Girlfriend your man is an addict and you need to boot his ass.

I am a landlord in Los Angeles and it’s totally illegal to have bedbugs. In fact, you can go to court and Sue for any damage caused to you and lawyers are very worried about that always report bedbugs right away, and if your landlord isn’t taking care of it make sure you go to the housing department.

@@Cali2FIorida I am okay, still waiting for a family Shelter.
My family had low income rentals for a long time. But many people didn’t qualify for apartments because they either trashed their previous rentals, or had been evicted because of drugs. They usually ended up spending more on hotels than renting.
I'm a felon and this experience as one tryna get housing LONG after I did my time, has exposed me to systemic bias for real. at EVERY level.
I’m not a felon but might as well be because I have bad credit so I feel your pain on trying to find an apartment
I do understand it to some degree: there's inherently higher risk trusting when someone who has been tried and convicted for a serious crime. But at what point should that not matter anymore? 5 years? 10? 20? It's just cruel that the stigma never goes away. I wish I had the answers.
Sometimes in life one needs to let go
If one person does more that the other.

@@chippope8984 apartment still cheaper
Easier to score heroin near a hotel than a leafy, bedroom, expensive, suburb.
@@chippope8984 Yeah and how much is cable and internet Chip? Come on man, quit making apologist arguments for the greedy landlord class.
People checking in aren't putting down 2 months pay in advance in the event they mess up the place... bring bed bugs in and forces the hotel to shut off that area until it can be addressed... etc.
It's very sad how much the cost of living has gone up to where there is not decent affordable places for families to stay.
Keep voting for the DEMS, IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE. And remember that people lie all the time and people DON'T want to work.
@@larose6551 exactly! I feel like he doesn’t really want to work. Heavens Super even offered him a ride.
I agree.
If you have enough money for the 1st place, you may as well buy a house.
Living in a hotel can seem like a endless loop. I did it with a mentally I'll son and another that was in his last year of highschool. It was ROUGH. I worked 4 jobs to get out of that loop and my son did graduate. Took 2 years...but I never want to be in that situation again.
Congratulations to you for making it through!
The care and attention you put into your content is awesome, it's a mixed bag of up town and reality. Hope the dude gets a job😅
You are a blessing.

Stayed at a Microtel Inn for about 10 months. After doing some research, I learned after 28 days I could establish residency. From there I would be exempt from paying the rental or hotel tax. Saved me about $250 a month.
My heart goes out. I lived in a motel with my mom when I was a kid. I'm just sending all of my love to this family.
@@AlexBrandon. thank you. Yes, 100% I wouldn't have changed it if I could. It was character building, to say the least.
