  • Table tennis footwork and coordination training are important parts fo training sessions. Exercises that are done by means of a coordination or agility ladder are often not specific enough to produce a good transfer to the movements that are needed in a competition. Therefore in this video there are 13 exercises presented, that improve the quality of footwork (single steps) in table tennis. These single steps are used in table tennis in different situations, that are also explained in this video.
Thanks for watching, have fun during training and please subscribe and ring the bell!

I've been playing table tennis since December 2021 and I've begun taking it seriously. It's been difficult finding footwork drills that directly benefit the movements and motions of table tennis, so thank you for making this video! I'll be giving credit where it's due throughout my journey. :-)

I will try this. Two exercises at a time!! These exercises are not as simple as they seem

Thanks, yes it is not easy to coordinate the jumps. But it will get better, if you do it regularly once or twice a week ;-)

@@dr.tabletennis I thought of doing it three times a week. I have a backlog of many years from the time I gave up TT to now. Do you have a website, by the way?

    • @dr.tabletennis

@@RajivChopra Because these exercises are very demanding for muscles, tendons and joints maybe its better to start twice a week with enough recovery time between. Be carefull! Good luck and have fun during training! I have no website, just this little channel as a hobby.

Thanks for your feedback. When players do these exercises they develope a good feeling for the right distances between them. But you are right, at the beginning the distances should be bigger for more savety. Best regards!
