There was the Erasmus+ project in my school, and I went to McDonald’s with those guys from Croatia and Poland. There was a misunderstanding between the waitress and one of the guests, so I had to translate what they said in English into Italian.
BOi, I got soooo confused because I was talking to the Croatian guy in Italian and to the waitress in English, and for the first few seconds I didn’t even notice. Then I paused for a moment and retold what I was trying to say, but correctly that time.
Also this happens, but less often, when I have to talk to Italians: I sometimes start to speak Chinese (I’m bilingual), but that doesn’t happen so frequently, because I’m kinda used to it, so I just know when to speak which language.
