Yes Shay! I only discovered So Hyang a couple of weeks ago myself and god damn, she is an amazing singer but IMO when she sings in Korean you can really feel it - she connects SO well to the lyrics. My pick would be her singing Arirang Alone on Immortal Songs 2. It's a traditional Korean song apparently but man, she gives it the Whitney/Celine etc treatment and it's amazing. Sohyang sings with difficulties from lifting her body, swaying her hips, shoulder,arms and hands while belting, Queen REGINE in all angles not moving at all, she barely open her mouth just to reach the high notes effortlessly! Nobody does that, only the Asia song Bird! 🇵🇭
she`s a great singer there`s no question about that but for me there`s something missing i think it` s the soul of the song. She`s singing to impress the audience that`s what makes her apart from the song. when she sings she doesn`t owned the song she sing just because she can do it. just my personal opinion. lol😘
Rodel Dizon I think she sounds slightly nasal in some parts. I definitely don't see her opening up her throat for high notes like you would in a choir. However I really like her singing. She's powerful but controls her voice very well.

This means that the air and the sound can never pass through the nose and out the nostril. What we hear in her voice is her excessive use of twang. She uses the nasal and pharyngeal cavity to resonate the voice and then the air (after being trapped in those resonating chambers for a while) comes out of her mouth. This creates a ringing 'ng' sound, which is desirable and gives the voice colour and helps to project it. But a lot of people mistake it for nasality, which it isn't. Tl, dr: She is not nasal.
