Question : I have an IPhone 11 Pro is it possible without touching the screen to lock only the shutter speed value ( lock on 50 for exemple) and to have the possibility to change with the pad the ISO value only without changing the shutter speed ?? Very useful and I haven’t found it . Hope it’s possible ! Last question : there is no shortcut affect on the menu bouton . Is it possible to affect something with ? I requested this integration when I bought the Gimbal. The response was amazingly fast. I just tested Filmic Pro on my iphone X with Zhiyun Smooth 4 and everything worked as indicated in the tutorial video. Thank you. Now the combination of this gimbal and Filmic Pro will be the defacto standard on my iphone for videography. Nothing comes close. Cheers.
This is the most "well done" tutorial of the Smooth 4 and Filmic Pro. Thank you for running both illustrations at the same time, instead of "cutting" back and forth. Also, as an absolute beginner, I appreciate the cogency and simplicity of your dialog. I watched once, fooled with the camera (phone), watched again, fooled with the camera again, so on so forth, and now I have the confidence to begin recording things that matter. Everything about this was so clear, the audio sounded great, loved the demonstrations, easy enough for even a novice like me to understand... Thank you for this great tutorial. It works perfect with my Android Xiaomi Pocophone F1. Just want to add, to help each other, that i was first unable to activate the gimbal within Filmic, prompted with an error message saying something like "you need a slot to activate...". I ended up fixing the issue by just authorizing the localization for Filmic Pro ! I found the way to fix it because the regular ZY apps requests you to do it !

This is the perfect accompaniment to a new rig. I couldn't be more thankful. I originally purchased a Smooth 4 online and couldn't get it to link with my iPhone XS no matter what. Zheyun has zero tech support and little interest. Most unhelpful and frustrating. I ended up sending the Smooth 4 back and buying a new Smooth 4 from a local camera shop where I was certain to get support. Now I'm a happy camper. Or at least, I will be a happy camper, once I get this succinct and thorough tutorial under my hood.

Clearly the best tutorial for FiLMiC Pro + Zhiyun Smooth 4. I've been using the Smooth 4 for the last 2 months along with the ZY Play app. Last week i downloaded Filmic Pro and completely loving the integration. Having said that I do miss the Motion Timelapse feature from ZY Play app and hope Filmic Pro will come up with something similar in future updates.
This combo of hardware and software is wonderful. I love it and there's no going back. Whoever coordinated this deserves a gold star! I'm using an LG V30 and the only gripe is a lumpy zoom. Tbh I don't use zoom whilst recording anyway so it's a non problem for me.
If you currently have issues with the buttons of the Zhiyun S4 not responding but says its connected. Don't worry. Filmic liscence with zhiyun has expired a week ago. An update is being reviewed by Google before being released to the public which will soon fix this problem.
I heard it's a problem with the filmic pro app. A lot of people are being connected to the filmic pro but the buttons don't work. We have to just wait for an update to fix the zhiyun filmic connection issue
@@khansheheyar I found out by filmic pro support that their liscence with zhiyun has just expired a week ago. The liscence is being renewed in an update that is just being checked by Google, so next update will fix this problem.

Hands down the best video thank you! Very clear and informative! I just got filmic pro through some apks and my Q4 finally works perfectly with my s10+, it didn't work all that well with my s8 so it's been sitting around for almost 2 years :/ but I'm glad I can finally put it to use! THANKS AGAIN!!
I bought one today and was using the ZY Play app to use the camera and button features but the camera quality is terrible and doesn't let you record at 60fps. The Filmic Pro app is way better and supports all the way to 4k 60ps (Samsung S9+). even updated my Smooth 4 to the latest firmware (1.79), Still a lot to learn but this video is really helpful.

I have the Osmo Mobile 2 and the Smooth 4 and the Smooth 4 is much better plus it handles Moment and Moondog lenses much better (with a counterweight).

Just bought a Smooth 4 specifically because it supports Filmic Pro and the level of integration is superb. My only bugbear is in trying to locate a suitable cable to go from the phone charging port on the gimbal head to the Lightning port on my 5S. I've tried a micro B USB to Type C cable with a Type C to Lightning adapter but it refuses to charge the phone-it also sticks out of the phone so far that it's tricky to balance the gimbal properly. With my 5S, I've found that Filmic Pro eats the battery for lunch. I'd like to power the phone off the gimbal power port and then keep the gimbal topped up via my big Anker battery pack so I can shoot all day. I have found a place in Germany that sells a right-angled Lightning to micro B USB cable but at €45 it seems rather excessive. If anyone knows where I can get a short right-angled Lightning to micro B USB cable that works with the Smooth 4, please let me know. Since the phone charging port is there, I'm astonished that Zhiyun don't either supply it with the Smooth 4, or have it available as an optional extra.

Fantastic combining Smooth4 and FiLMiC PRO. But in my own experience however missing on Android, Samsung Note 9, UI one, is lens selection. And zoom is not really as smooth as on IPhones. Question.. . What camera modes are in ZY Play that are not integrated in FilMic Pro? I read somewhere that Object Tracking, Motion Timelapse etc are not available in FilMic Pro.. Can you please provide the lists?
Filmic Pro can't control the gimbal at all, it can only read the buttons. So it has no ZY Play camera modes (aside from standard slo-mo/timelapse I guess, which are just standard frame rate controls and nothing special to the Smooth 4)
@@KarlBaron That's a shame! Been using ZY Play cos I had probs connecting to Filmic Pro. at first. Loved the camera modes on ZY Play especially "Vertigo". My head is split now. Been using Filmic Pro on my phone for 6 months and really like being able to shoot log footage. Don't think log footage is an option inZY Play. Will have to keep switching software which is a drag.

Guys, could you help me? I've just downloaded Filmic Pro and tried to pair them by going to that gear icon and selected hardware but the problem is, SHIYUN isn't on the display. I just see 3 selections including dgi osmo. What should I do pls..

Ive read somewhere in one of the many videos Ive watched in regards to this app alongisde this product, and it was stated that you couldnt record in 4k with the product. I have a Snapdragon 845 Galaxy Note 9. Is this app going to change that senario????

Hello....I have looked but can not find an answer. Does filmic pro have a tracking feature for Android. The zy play app has a tracqking feature but when enabled decreases resolution. Does filmic pro do this?

I'm filming with a Huawei P20 pro. The DISP button shows me the overlays at the top of the screen, but focus peaking or exposure zebras don't appear. There is a similar problem with the saved videos. I can access the menu, but I can't select any videos. What can I do?

@@jerrych5616 yes you can record in 4K but with limited frame rate = 24 to 30 ips. 240 ips is not allowed in 4K

Heeey thats Wellington??? Kiwi! Coool... Anywho. Im trying to decide whether to get the Shiyun Smooth 4, but other channels say that it doesnt work well with Samsung or Android ( I have the S7 edge). Would down loading Filmic Pro help with those problems instead of using the default Shiyun software download? I really want to get this!!! But not if its just going to lag on my s7. Heeelp. Guys, could you help me? I've just downloaded Filmic Pro and tried to pair them by going to that gear icon and selected hardware but the problem is, SHIYUN isn't on the display. I just see 3 selections including dgi osmo. What should I do pls..
Turn on the gimbal and it should display there.
The buttons and dial on zhiyun smooth 4 my stopped working in the app. Anyone else had the same problem?
After updated the firmware ,gimbal controls are not working with Filmic Pro.

FINALLY!! Great job, Filmic Pro team! Now if only Samsung would allow for frame rates higher than 30fps outside their camera app, I'd never have to leave the Filmic Pro app. C'mon Sammy, get your stuff together.
Thanks Lou! Some Samsung devices with Exynos chips do support 60fps (s9). Unfortunately this is not possible on the Snapdragon chip sets :(
Yeah, I know. It's a bummer that they can't provide this for Snapdragon models. I mean, if it works on their app, why can't it elsewhere? lol.
The limitation is the processor itself. The snapdragon is just not powerful enough to film 2k at 60 fps ...

Ive read somewhere in one of the many videos Ive watched in regards to this app alongisde this product, and it was stated that you couldnt record in 4k with the product. I have a Snapdragon 845 Galaxy Note 9. Is this app going to change that senario????

Hello....I have looked but can not find an answer. Does filmic pro have a tracking feature for Android. The zy play app has a tracqking feature but when enabled decreases resolution. Does filmic pro do this?

I'm filming with a Huawei P20 pro. The DISP button shows me the overlays at the top of the screen, but focus peaking or exposure zebras don't appear. There is a similar problem with the saved videos. I can access the menu, but I can't select any videos. What can I do?
