  • The Lincoln Aviator is getting an exciting update for 2025, while it remains closely related to the Ford Explorer, sharing the same foundation, including a powerful 400-horsepower engine, the design of the inside, and the tech features available. However, Lincoln has added some extra touches of luxury that really make it stand out from its more affordable cousin, the Explorer. This includes a variety of looks you can choose from and the latest technological advancements that elevate the Aviator above the Explorer.
Starting with the exterior, the Aviator showcases a new look at the front, featuring a larger grille and headlights that meet at the top corners, along with a new lower front part that has vertical vents at the corners. While the Explorer shares a similar design, the Aviator boasts unique elements like its distinct grille that you won't find illuminated on the Ford. As for the sides and back of the car, they remain the same as the previous model, making this update more of a facelift focused on the front.
Inside, both the driver and the front passenger will enjoy larger digital screens, with the center screen measuring up to 13.2 inches and the dashboard display at 12.4 inches. This setup mirrors the one in the new Explorer, although the Explorer's dashboard screen is slightly smaller at 12.3 inches. The interior design is largely unchanged but is enhanced with new color schemes with creative names such as Light Space Gray, Harvest Bronze, and Hot Chocolate.
The 2025 Aviator really shines when it comes to its technology offerings. It introduces the Lincoln Digital Experience for the first time, integrating Google and Amazon capabilities directly into the car's system. This allows for the use of apps like Spotify, Google Maps, TH-cam, and even a web browser for online searches (with a caution to use some features only while parked). Voice commands are easily handled by Google Assistant or Alexa, making the system highly customizable. For those who prefer, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are still options.
Another highlight is BlueCruise, Lincoln's hands-free driving technology, which is now available on the Aviator across all models as a standard feature, just like it is on the Explorer. The Lincoln Co-Pilot 360, also standard, adds a plethora of driver assistance features, including lane-keeping and a 360-degree camera, alongside more advanced functions like evasive steering aid and reverse braking assist.
Lincoln doesn't stop there, offering several black appearance packages and a range of wheel options. There's even a Lincoln Black Label Invitation theme, which is similar to an offering on the larger Navigator, showcasing unique colors and interior details, including laser-etched dashboard designs-something you definitely won't see in the Explorer.
Lincoln emphasizes the role of technology in enhancing the luxurious and peaceful experience in the new Aviator, aiming to create a "digital sanctuary on the road" with its advanced, connected features like the Lincoln Digital Experience and BlueCruise.
The Aviator is set to hit the market later this year, and it's positioned as a premium option. The starting price for the entry-level Aviator Premiere is $58,495, showing a significant increase from the previous year. The mid-level Reserve is priced at $67,495, and the top-tier Black Label will cost $86,995. With all the options and the required destination charge, the price can approach $100,000.

I am curious to watch your next video about GM's Buick, GMC and Cadillac SUV's that are based on their Chevy sibling and see how many times you mention they are based on the chevy equivalet.
