I really loved this book as well, really loved the side character of Guras, who leads the Klingon boarding party, I thought he was a great over the top style character like General Chang who steals the scenes he's in, also loved that Cox brought him back for a cameo at the end of Captain to Captain and I'm glad you pointed out how Cox left it for the audience to make up their mind about the nature vs. nurture debate like a classic Star Trek episode, it presents the evidence and lets you decide what is right or wrong, great book. As for other Greg Cox recommendations, I'd suggest No Time Like the Past, where he teams up Kirk and Seven of Nine and it has a great extended climax like Child of Two Worlds, I'd also recommend his Khan trilogy, especially the first two books, where he sets them in the twentieth century and includes cameos from several characters from The Voyage Home and other Star Trek adventures set in the 80s and 90s and he does a great job of making seemingly unrelated events from the 70s, 80s and 90s be part of the Eugenic Wars mentioned in Space Seed, like a secret Star Trek history of real life events, so I'd give those some consideration for great Greg Cox novels. Great review as usual!
I just read this book earlier this month. I loved it. I'm a big Greg Cox fan. I've read most of his Star Trek books and loved all of them. I haven't bought the Strange New Worlds book yet, but I'd like to get it.
I know this comment isn't going to be original or shocking but seriously if you like his writing read his Khan trilogy! That's it. Also I enjoyed this book and great review

If you enjoy Greg Cox, read his Khan trilogy. You won't be disappointed.
I'll have to order a copy, sounds like a good one.
