They get even more out of these now with 400bhp+ This was one of the first tunes in the market at the time. These are low 11 second cars now! If you hybrid the big turbo you can get 500+ and no joke it’s like stock. I wish I could have this engine in Thailand where I now live as it’s just brilliant
@@TheBenchmarkuk I’m in the process of looking for a 335D F30 and once I get it I’m going to have it remapped and put a bigger inter cooler on it that should result in approx 375bhp :-)
No need for the intercooler I did 11 runs in a row and it was consistent. I thrashed that car everyday and it took it with the stage 1. As mentioned look for a tuner that has the newer tunes, I think unicorn developments had the best one. They do go 400+ with just a flash no mods needed at all!
At that time I am not sure, videos are in order so if it was uploaded before the remap video then yes. Car is a beast if a little dull to drive, but out of all the modern cars this or the Alpina D3 are the best monster torque cars on the market... except the new D3 in the UK which is detuned and missing a turbo unfortunately. Friend of mine in Ireland bought a stunning white F30 Alpina D3 and mapped it to around 450bhp and god knows how much torque, was an absolute monster and to this day he still has it and is as reliable as a swiss watch.
Just to see how much of a difference it makes. This is a diesel and as such makes sh!t loads of torque at low rpm, so you dont need to rev it out as much. But I was wrong, this car revs.
@@TheBenchmarkuk I picked up a 435d a mobth ago from an M135i lci and the 4 series is hilarious. Xdrive and all that torque. Rapid in all weather. Immense car.
You only get the E90 (previous generation) in the states. However The E90 handles better and even though it contains the M57 and not the more powerful N57 engine. The M57 is easier to service and can be tuned beyond the N57. You can stick a hybrid big turbo on the M57 and get well over 450bhp with the right tuning. The only negative with the E90 is the gearbox, its a 6 speed and a little weaker than the 8 speed in the F30. But yes, you should get one as they are awesome torque monsters with great fuel economy.
Hahaha bang on. The mpg on my heavy 4wd 335d is better than a 2018 420d.... I kid you not, I had one for a week as a loaner. Made me realise how pointless the 2 litre is.
I've actually got a friend who's had a stage 2 b9 S4 supercharged V6 3.0 beast. Without a doubt these are similar speeds but from a rolling hit the supercharged Audi has a more immediate throttle response and no lag so they squat down and pick up quicker than the derv. If you anticipate that advantage they are level pegging (I'm in a stage 2 435d)
YOLO, was solid as a rock and made consistent power and great economy. I ran it in my own way, never had an issue with any cars from new to 80k myself… But anyway everyone’s opinions vary so I don’t criticise others for their run In procedure. I do always service sometimes twice as often as needed, check over fluids and anything I can see religiously and always get oils up to temp before pushing the engine.

Lovely Calum, You do realise there are many different regional accents and sometimes... just sometimes people who may have been brought up people from other parts of the world or perhaps lived in another country may of picked up slight variants of other accents. In other words Calum, there are people that pronounce words or perhaps sound different. After all wouldn't the world be incredibly boring if we all sounded the same?
You were not in launch control mode. And wtf - a x35d with small display?
Have you seen the one from Netherlands it does 12.04 1/4 mile
Wait, is it stock?
Hows the reliability been
"Not bad"
About the same as a stock golf R! And far superior MPG
no car with 300hp can so 12sec..unless is an exige v6 350

Mighty impressive for a std diesel. If you remap it then you’ll have 360bhp and probably knock another 1/2 second off you’re quarter time.

I can’t wait to buy a 335 estate next year 😁
Yes me too mate. Im on autotrader every day, its become addictive looking at different specs
Dan, did your 335d show the digital mph speedo as standard or was this coded in?
Came as standard, it is a facelift model and the 35d comes loaded with extras as standard.
Thanks, I have a 2015 model but doesnt have digital speedo (although this can be coded in, as you may know).
Mine’s a late 2016 and didn’t come with the digital speed, either.
Nice car, any plans for a remap?
Naz Hussain not at this moment no.
wtf? thats e60 m5 v10 507hp times not a diesel times..damnnn
Erm lol
No mate it’s not. An E60 can do 12.3 abs the trap speed is 116-117mph not 105mph
Stock car ?

Impressive fella, did you let it go full auto or did you use the paddles/gearstick?
Check out my vid m8 of my 335d going 0-60 with launch control,
Full auto, no point revving it out.
I think it can go faster by short shifting with the paddles though.
I'm having one by the end of the week....
why with american speed dashboard?
Whats American about it?
the miles on the speedo
oh Right, we use mph here in the uk just like in the states.
Why drag race in standard gearbox mode????????

Launch control didn't engage. I think it could've gone quicker 😜
It has gone quicker a few times, just Sod’s law that whenever I record a video it doesn’t happen.
Diesel...wow
i have one fantastic car
Indeed they are great cars!
Peter Littlewood Me too (f31) 😁
Really fast mate but I think my B9 S4 Saloon would still have you 👍🏻😉.
that would be close one for sure, either way, this f30 fuel consumption is probably 50% less than s4. ;)

The Benchmark get 35 Plus Mpg in The S4 on the commute to work. Around town it isn’t great though lol 😂.
This would beat an s4 in my opinion and this has lots more torque. The 335d is the better buy I’d say 👌
