The live version exposes the complexity of this song, a song that appears simple but is really quite layered. Just a spectacular track. A real achievement.
It has been so long since I found music that piqued my attention like this; 5th replay in and it is still making the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. The composition is perfect, vocals hang in the air beautifully like motes of dust caught in a shaft of light. It is an awesome feeling to have music make you slip into an almost dream like state; such a positive feeling after listening to this. Guys love from the UK and best of luck! everything is so good in this track, each instrument is doing something interesting , I love how its a really chord heavy track, loads of changes and yet somehow that doesn't make it frenetic. It just chills.

One of my top five fav songs by you guys, always strikes me right in my soul how you guys sound JUST as great or even better live than on recording, and her voice is just mesmerising and somehow DEFINITELY sounds better live than on recording which is quite a great feat in itself. Your music will never get old/overplayed or boring to me as I've been listening to u guys loooong before I found your live versions you guys recorded as well as your music videos. Love you guys beyond words could comprehend. Also as someone else commented, in fact more than one or two people commented, and as an indie rock/jazz inspired drummer, your drummer is feeling the vibe and is in the moment/on point to the FULLEST EXTENT legally permitted - if there is a legal limit To an able to groove as smoothly and softly yet still perfectly and not missing a single beat, then he is the prime example lol. To say ''he's in the pocket" would be such an understatement, it's like the drums are playing him instead of the other way around. He is ONE with the drums - there's no other way around it or way to put it LOL. The same can be said for yall's bass player, he is in the fucken ZONE. As I said above, as a fellow drummer I can definitely appreciate and have an ear for a great/stellar bassist as we drummers depend on/pay attention to the bass and bass player moreso than any other instrument. In fact i could write an actual essay that would be easily twice the lengrh and full of even more praise than i wrote above for the jaw droppingly skilled and chill absolutely killer drummer but ill try to keep it short as i dont wanna seem like a suck up or someone whos full of it just trying to say everything positive I can think of to a band member i dont even know. And after all, this is youtube - not a music/musical artist forum or message board although thhrat being said I could happily write about every element that you guys (And lady) possess as a creative musical ensemble.... Funny enough, one of my good friends who is also a bandmate of mine from an older band ours who is an incredibly talented semi-pro bassist who can play anything really - from classical jazz, to funky and slow groovy stuff like sludge and doom metal, to heavy, fast progressive death metal.... is quite a big fan of you guys and tour bassist due to how prominent the bass is in your songs and how smooth and groovy the bass is and how well it's recorded and can be heard.... He says all types of rock all across the board, whether it be rock or jazz or punk or metal, all of the above and any sub genre or variety of these genres - you can't even hear the fuxking bass more than half the time, even two thirds or three quarters of the time - even when you see the bass player going fucking crazy playing all these beautiful combinations of complex notes and rhythms, etc it's like what is the point of even having effing bass player there "playing"bass if you literally cannotnhear it!! Which is such a refreshing change with Men I Trust!!!! Sorry for the rant but may be there's a chance one of you guys will read it and get a kick out of it (the drummer will,I hope LOL I made a funny!!!!) 🥁🎸🥁🎸and appreciate and hear where I'm coming from. Mostly just wanted to say how much I love you and how you guys keep it simple - making good music where every instrument and if course voice is heard, but you guys are making music that's way ahead if it's time in terms of the type of music that's being revamped and brought back for today's day and age. HAVE A KILLER WEEKEND AND SEE YOU GUYS ON TUEADAY! IF I RUN INTO ANY OF YOU ILL SAY HELLO AND INTRODUCE MYSELF BY SHOWING YOU THIS ANNOYINGLY LONG COMMENT I WROTE ON HERE LOL. LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!
