We ate here this weekend and it was amazing! We had the crab stuffed flounder and the broiled seafood platter. Thanks for the video it definitely steered us to a great meal!
Jen & Rich! We really enjoy your videos. Wonderful how you treat one another. We'll have to check whether or not Chesapeake's offers a gluten-free menu? Looks like a tremendous restaurant! Have you guys reviewed Paula Dean's Restaurant in Pigeon Forge? Take care and Happy Thanksgiving! 🦇❣️
We stay at the margaritaville hotel there behind the restaurant and it’s a short walk to get there. We visit gatlinburg two sometimes three times a year from Ohio, we luv this restaurant, never had a bad experience, highly recommended. Thanks for the video.
Chesapeake’s is our favorite restaurant in Gatlinburg! It’s worth every penny! As always an awesome review Rich and Jen! Can’t wait to see where you go next time!
Very nice meal. Jen likes everything I never hear her give a bad review and I've watched about 25 videos so far . Yes on eating the tail of the shrimp . Dawson seemed like an outstanding server .
He was! I will definitely let you know if I don’t like something- hasn’t really happened yet…😂😂 I thought I wasn’t going to like the bread pudding but I was wrong…😂
Hi Guys, Jen, OMGGGGGG! The calamari looked soo fabulous. I love it too. I order it whenever possible and I cook it sometimes at home just like you had and sometimes I sautee it plain with tons of garlic 🧄 cloves and hot pepper. The dinners looked amazing. WOW. Rich’s seafood combo looked to die for. I order that whenever ones available on a menu. Man, that’s a good place to eat. There’s something like you’re Chesapeake in Maryland, which isn’t far from Newark in Delaware, which is where I live with my daughter and fiance. Isn’t food fun?? I dream about it. 🦀🦞🍤🤬🥩. 😂😂. Take care guys and keep safe!
We have never eaten there but we will when we visit this year, both of your foods looked amazing, my mouth was watering, thanks for showing this restaurant great video
I liked the looks of the variety of bread that they served. This food looked so good. It's no higher than getting a good steak in Gatlinburg. We definitely are wanting to try out Chesapeakes. Thanks for the great review!
Wow that place was a gem,, that fish stuffed w😢ith crab looked out if this world. Rich's seafood platter was enough food for 3 or 4 people, That shrimp was humongous , And that peanut butter pie would probably send me into sugar shock, but I'd risk it. God bless and have a great week,🇺🇸
Rich & Jen. what a great restaurant this looks like. I LOVE seafood. Your platters both looked so appealing. This is on our list of places to go when we visit Gatlinburg this Summer. Thank you for sharing this video 😉 Blessings always !
Thank you for the travel footage on the way to the restaurant that let's us absorb the beauty of the terrain. So lovely. Yes, recording your hotel stays would be fun for sure. So grateful you share these adventures w/ us. Now I'm looking forward to retiring in a few years and adventuring with my wife here in Wine Country!
Wife thinks I'm gross, but I always eat the shrimp tail. They're wonderful. We are huge fans of calamari so when we get there Nov 10th were making a trip here.
Looks like you all sat in the same seats we did when visiting from middle Georgia in the first week of April, We went with the healthier seafood broiler plater vs the fried and it was awesome, we walked from our Rivers edge lodge which was not far away to avoid parking fees, not to be a penny pincher next time you all drive into Gatlinburg drive down that back river road which has free parking if you find a slot if not continue towards the restaurant and pay for parking especially when Gatlinburg is not busy and you can park for free, wanted to go back before we left to get the spinach crab dip ( which another TH-camr recommended) but never made it, our lodge was near Howard’s Restaurant , and managed to pick up a slice of peanut butter pie which took me 4 days to finish when I brought it back home, but that same pie looked better at Chesapeakes, will try next time, thanks, 👍😀
Imagine having a restaurant named after a bay I used to live not far from! I remember going fishing and crabbing in the Chesapeake Bay! Your stuffed flounder looked delicious! The crabmeat brought back memories of backfin crab cakes! Yummy! Seafood platter looked good, as well, especially the shrimp! Soo good! And peanut butter pie is a nice way to end the meal! Everything looked delicious!
That’s another restaurant that we will definitely have to try. I think Rich had the better entree….that’s right up my alley but Jen’s entree looked fantastic too!! Thanks for another great video!!
I’m always full after their appetizers- no way could I eat all that food p,us dessert - but I have a small appetite. I enjoy watching them enjoy their food
Beautiful place, beautiful food and a beautiful day. What more could you ask for. As far as price goes I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. If you get the quality and the experience it is so worth the price.
All the food looked so delicious and well worth the cost. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to seeing you do a hotel review. You both are so down-to-earth
We had a second home here and when Covid hit we retired early from our food industry jobs. We planned to retire here anyway so we sold our house and moved up here. We always loved the mountains and our Son and his wife live in North Knoxville.
Enjoying your video's! Calamari looked So Good. Have lived on the coast of Maine my entire life, love seafood and have never eaten a fried shrimp tail. I'll be trying this soon.
This was one of my favorites. The food looked really yummy and y'all really know what to order. I really enjoyed this video. Also would enjoy the hotel review.
Next time my mom and I go to Gatlinburg we will have this place on our list to try! We both love calamari. What restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida do you compare it to, we live 30 mins from there and go all the time. No shrimp tail for me, I will pick the meat out but the shell part is a texture thing for me.
They had not so good restaurants when I visited Gatlinburg, but it has been 15 years ago. This restaurant is beautiful. Yummy. The prices are reasonable compared to where I live. I eat the tail of shrimp but not the very end.
i would love to see you all scope out a mid range hotel in Gatlinburg. We usually come a couple weekends a year and usually stay in Pigeon Forge but are very interested in staying in Gatlinburg again sometime
We would like to, but it’s really difficult with the two puppies living at home with us. And then we have to try to find someone to watch them if we stay at a hotel. Maybe sometime in the future!
We liked Rivers edge lodge inn, it’s a quieter part of Gatlinburg , even though they probably have the worst continental breakfast , but a very close walk to flapjacks, Howard’s Restaurant and Crocketts restaurant , and a few others and is affordable especially if you stay more than 4 days , if you book ahead of time, and the trolley picks you up there by the river , you can walk the river road to avoid a lot of walkers on the strip during busier times of the seasons 👍, just a vacationers tip
We would love to do a hotel review every now and then but it’s really difficult because of the pups. But we might try to see if someone can come in every once in a while so that occasionally. Thank you for your suggestion.
Do they give a free dessert for your anniversary like some places do? I love the idea of you guys doing a hotel review. I would love to see reviews of the locally owned hotels that aren't chains. Would you recommend Chesapeake's or Pinchy's for seafood?
Personally, I would do Chesapeakes. We have eaten at Pinchy and it’s good but Chesapeake’s atmosphere and view and food I think is better. Just my opinion. You can do a reservation at Chesapeake’s..
What about going to dollyworld, show us fun things there and food places, might me a suggestion, it might be fun, this is dixie from texas. I have seen some of dollyworld and the rides only on utube. And stayin in hotels is a great idea, what about any bed or breakfasts places around might also be fun.
My husband went to a restaurant that we don’t get to very often and I was so looking forward to their peanut butter pie. Unfortunately, they had other pies that day😩
Yea the food is awesome , but pricey, we had our grandson with us , we paid about $150 when we left, but we’ll worth it when your enjoying life and traveling 👍😀
Do they serve crab legs? My husband and i are planning a trip to Gatlinburg in September, he loves crab legs, we would prefer to stay in Gatlinburg then to go to peogeon forge.😊
We always loved Metro diner for breakfast or lunch and I loved Jay Alexander’s at the town center. I also liked the Julington Creek Fish camp and if I’m in Saint Augustine, I love the Saint Augustine Fish camp.
That’s something most people don’t even know what it is. We used to handle that when I used to work in the seafood business. I tried it a couple times, but never required a taste for it. Hard to find it nowadays anywhere.

We do have a review of Paula Deen’s in our restaurant reviews playlist. Thank you so much for watching and Chesapeake is just amazing!

Hello from Jacksonville Florida. My ears perked up when you said you used to live here.
Hello!! Yes-lived in Jax for 49 years, we lived in the Mandarin area. Moved here about 4 years ago.
What brought y’all to the Gatlinburg area?
We had a second home here and when Covid hit we retired early from our food industry jobs. We planned to retire here anyway so we sold our house and moved up here. We always loved the mountains and our Son and his wife live in North Knoxville.
Oh my goodness all that food looked amazing and the dessert just give me that ❤😊
😂😂LOVE peanut butter pie!!
Me also
This is my favorite restaurant in Gatlinburg. Thanks for the great video. I will be there the second week in may and will definitely be eating there.
Great time to be in the mountains!!❤️

Yes- make sure you make reservations! They get super busy in the summer..
Everything looked amazing and what a View
The view was so beautiful!!🤩
Great view! Pie looked yummy, I would need a cup of coffee with it!
Chesapeake's is my favorite. They just added lobster rolls to the spring lunch menu...delish!
Ohhh! I’ll bet!! Love a good lobster roll!

Probably most similar to any of The Fish Camp restaurants. Are you familiar with them?
It was wonderful. A little pricey but worth it for the delicious food😊

We would like to, but it’s really difficult with the two puppies living at home with us. And then we have to try to find someone to watch them if we stay at a hotel. Maybe sometime in the future!

@beanhall5781 true!

Great tip! The trolley is fantastic when it’s busy and you’re not staying in Gatlinburg. Keeps you from having to pay to park!
Love Chesapeake’s! Have you ever had the Neva potatoes? Sooooooo good!
I haven’t, I almost got them but the spinach Mac and cheese sounded intriguing! I will try them another time for sure!
I think a hotel review would be great!

It's so pretty there food was fancy
Loved our view!!
Love me some good sea food
And that was some good seafood!
Pricey, but it sounds like it was well worth it! Nothing like some good calamari rings.
Definitely worth it

Seafood in the land locked mountains of Tennessee. Who knew?
And good seafood too!🤣🤣
@cherylkoski7184 and sometimes that’s the best. Frozen on the boat. Doesn’t sit around getting old!
When I make the fired shrimp at home I feed the tails to my dogs
Bet they love that!
Yes eat the Tails !

Chesapeake's. The first two times I looked at the name I thought it said Cheapskates. LOL!

Did I miss the reason you weren't charged for the peanut butter pie? Yes, please stay in Gatlinburg!
Oh my! I did not even notice that. Maybe because he knew it was my birthday dinner??
Is the Knoxville restaurant as good as the Gatlinburg location?
Yes, we have eaten here also. There are three in our area.
Zoders Best in Gatlinburg
I’ve never stayed there.
I don't eat shrimp tails. I do eat shad roe

I don’t eat Shrimp or most Sea Food. I don’t like the Texture.
I do eat some Flounder.

No tail!😂

Holy Smokes...expensive
Great blogs I enjoy but keep in mind your going all over the world and you need to explain better where you are.
Will do! Thanks
I eat the tails and get chastised by friends and family. When I have a shrimp platter there will be no tails on my plate. I get strange looks!,,
