    You guys are lucky, it looks like you have "normal-sized" coyotes. I live in Hemet, just west and over the mountain from Palm Springs. The coyotes here are HUGE. Like LARGE German Shepherds... and they are NOT Coy-Dogs, just huge coyotes. For a while, they were hanging out in my backyard (and I live in the city, not county!!!) And I had a couple encounters with them close up and personal. I used to ride horses in a remote area in San Diego, CA, and was very familiar with the size of coyotes. I saw them close up while on horseback. They were "Normal-Sized" so I really do know the difference!

    I live in the western part of North Carolina and we have coyotes here also. I can hear them after dark howling off in the distance I also have seen quite a few on the side of the roads since I work swing shifts. I don't have any livestock or birds to worry about but if I get some in the future I'll definitely have to keep a eye on them for sure although we do have a great Pyrenees dog which helps protect livestock from coyotes

    Love the new merchandise! Deciding on which one! As for coyotes, it is part of nature! I would rather trap & relocate as they are also integral to the ecosystem! I don't want them preying on the animals of course! Even here in urban San Diego,we have them! That is why I caution folks about leaving their dogs & cats outside! I live in mobilehome park- broad daylight, the coyote trotted by me!😳 But did not react aggressively! 🖐🐺 Jake's video on Ima Survivor showcased 2 coyotes there too. YOU all Must be psychic...lol!

    • @willhorting5317
      @willhorting5317 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, you don't want to hurt the coyotes. I can respect that opinion...But... Let's look at your suggestion... You trap coyotes within a 5 mile radius of your property. Then relocate them what, 20, 50, 100 miles away? You think that this has solved your problem, plus has "helped" the coyotes..... Reality is...All you have done is relocated your problem, and made it someone else's problem....Oh, and guess what, in as soon as a few days, or as long as a few weeks, new transient coyotes who are looking for new territory will be taking over your area again.....Yes, it is very true that "removal" by killing them won't stop the new transient coyotes from moving in. But at least you won't be adding a bigger problem for someone else's area....I am fairly certain that you are now probably thinking I am trying to be argumentative. But actually I am not. I am simply pointing out the flaws in your suggestion.

    • @kaseyrigsby-ferree4038
      @kaseyrigsby-ferree4038 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@willhorting5317TY. No flawed logic there! You are right- they may be someone else's problem. However, the encroachment of building,building & more building upon natural habitats is creating wildlife starvation. They are looking for food & natural instincts find them in areas that used to shelter. No easy answers!

      🤣🤣🤣🤣 "Some dummies brought them here." Coyotes have been migrating/expanding to the East and Southeast for quite some time. I'm not saying that you don't know some dummies who actually did bring some to the area and released them. But I also know that the subsequent offspring would only account for a small percentage of the current population in any area of the state.

    Encourage as much rabbit mice etc habitat as you can and coyotes will leave your deer alone. Rarely kill adult deer anyway. Shooting them only works if you shoot and trap heavy and even then it’s a window of low coyote numbers, they always rebound in numbers. Trapping coons and possums (nest predators) will do more for your Turkey populations than shooting a few coyotes. That’s a nice mount with the solar panel on your camera.

    Hard and a huge problem in many areas to get the cayotes under control ...Coyotes removed from an area will quickly be replaced by others. Coyote pairs hold territories, which leaves single coyotes ("floaters") constantly looking for new places to call home. My son put out a bag of corn and there were 24 deer in my yard and we could hear cayotes that evening too .

    It could be that the coyotes are being seen because there aren't any humans around. Or they could be out more due to hunting for pups.
    Or there could just be a few too many and you will have to hunt some to bring down the numbers. Which is necessary because too many coyotes isn't good for the prey animals or the coyotes.

    Here lately I’ve had a coyote showing up on all my security cameras within feet of my house. My place has been covered up with rabbits the last few years and I guess the coyotes finally found them.

    Daniel, what was that molasses tub that you use and have you tried pouring cherry coolaid over your corn? Also, what's the model number of your game camera that has a solar panel on it? Ty for your reply. Great video and keep up the great videos. 👍

      I feed my deer in my yard. I am guessing the cooling attracts them? Do you just pour it out dry or do you mix it up?

      @@rhondaborders3452 I pour it on top of the corn. Spread it over the corn and I also use Beast feed granules that I get from Walmart when they have it because hunters around us buy it up.

    Have a local coyote hunter come help with a call. Also trapping would be fun content. Make Huston and all family custom coats. You manage them or they kill everything. Good luck on predator removal or relocation.

      I hope you checkout building with hemp and resin building blocks. Walls as strong as concrete, fireproof, R70, mold and mildew proof. Build cabins at blind sites. One 25 # self leveling block at a time. You could raffle a few leases to fund food plots and building cabins. Lease during other seasons and for nature lovers. You'll need a place for sponsors to stay. Especially hunters. Build a cold storage room with processing to accommodate cattle and game. Commercial vacume and fill coolers in between hunts. Pre sell your future steers and hogs for help clearing the woods with a hunting lease and help processing there steer hogs or chickens meat birds. Keep adding more recovered woodlands and expand the mini herford bred female and freezer steers. Dusty could hook you up with your jerkey line and do order fulfillment with Bison package deal to compare beef to Buffalo taste.

    When your ducks were being killed, first thing l thought was coyote.... Houston reminded me of my son and at that age & size sliding on the ice next to the pond...but we had a dock/ bridge across the small creek that was washed out and still had telephone poles in the water he thought he could walk across....need l say more ?
    What really upset him was l was dieing laughing because every step he took water from the rubber boots squirted out

    Have you watched Kapper Outdoors? He has the most beautiful, healthy deer! He does food plots. He has major respect for the animals and has a great system.
