Hey Sean, your videos are a riot to watch. Keep spreading the good word brother. I'm on my third Yamaha Venture. The first one was a Gen 1 Venture. No. 2 & 3 Gen 2 Royal Star Ventures. They are the nicest bikes I've owned and I've owned a lot including a couple Electra Glides. Harley's are awesome bikes, but I would take the Royal Star Venture over the Electra Glide for styling and giddy up. Ha, I bought a brand new Yamaha Venturer in 1981. Yes, I said Venturer. It was only made one year, 1981. It was the last year for the XS-11. It had a full Vetter fairing with lowers, ABS saddlebags with rails, a touring seat and oversized touring tank - 6.3 gallons. Wife and I rode it to the top of Pikes Peak from Portland and back through Reno and Tahoe. Loved that bike. Put over 30,000 miles on it.
I love my 1996 Royal Star Cruiser which I purchased NEW!I had the turn out pipes installed as new (still hae the OEMs in their boxes) Barely 35K miles lol. Mostly normal maintenance, though recently the gears would not shift. My indy fixed it. It needs a radiator rebuild and a new speedo face even though it's been garaged all its life

My only issue with this bike is the width of the tank but I'd guess that it's so you can not only put a decent amount of fuel in which it needs but also maybe its more comfy for longer riding? Not sure about that as I like the tanks with the slight dips for the knees but again a guess but as you don't lay it down around corners such a tank is unnecessary.

You need to learn a little more about the Star Line of Motorcycles, I own a 2003 Royal Star Venture 96,000 miles Beach Sand Tan/ Raspberry which by the way was the fastest one they made. lol..... They have only made the Second Generation since 96 When it was just a Royal Star with a V4 1300, which had only 74 hp until 1998 when they brought out the Royal Star Tour Deluxe. Then in 1999 they brought out the second Generation Royal Star Venture with the first Gen. V4 being built from 1983-1993 the first Gen was a Venture Royale. I took one of these motorcycles for a test drive thinking it was the same engine that is in the Yamaha venture. I had a venture at the time. When I first pulled out, I thought that there was something wrong with the motor. It vibrated and was not smooth at all. When I got it up to speed, it was worse. I am mediately turned around and took it back to the owner, I asked him if he had two of the spark plugs out or was there something wrong with the engine because it was definitely not smooth like the Venture engine is..The guy said, this engine has a completely different crankshaft from the factory than the Venture does. They wanted to put some vibration in the motor like a Harley to make it feel like a Harley to possible Harley riders that would switch to Yamaha. yamaha took the counter balance off of the crankshaft th give the engine its thumping pulse.. I could not ride this motorcycle even a quarter of a mile. either the seller was trying to pass off a defective motorcycle on me which can’t be done, or, he was telling me straight up that this engine was different from the Venture engine. what he told me sort of made sense because I know that Suzuki tried something like this also with their 1400 or 1500 intruder. But Suzuki did it anyway to give her the harley feel of an engine that had a Distinctive lope to the motor, Even though it was almost irresponsible to do such a thing when they knew better
