I bought a switch in late Feb and there was a demo available for this. I was so hooked I played through the demo twice and bought the game as soon as it came out. Fantastic game and one I will play again in the summer.
Currently playing 13 Sentinels and I’m loving it so much I purchased this game without hesitation. I have never played a strategy game like this and wanted to start with FF Tactics, but this game looks so amazing! Vanillaware is a serious talent.
Yeah, I need to go back and play some of their older titles. Tactics is amazing and often regarded the best SRPG of all time. I would also give Tactics Ogre: Reborn a go.
Yeah went back to 13 Sentinels recently and while I knew it was a quality title it hadn’t really clicked until now.. That inspired me to try the demo for UO and thankfully found a way to nab it! Soo it’s in transit.. Def on a major SRPG kick lately
Im almost beating it and i loved that the game was never repetitive. As the game got more complex, the gameplay and strategies changed accordingly as we got new characters and units got bigger.
Great review man, I've enjoyed playing the first few hours of this game, but haven't touched it for a little while. I'll have to find some time and get stuck back into it!
I'm having the same problem and I think that the predictable boring story make it feel like you are working rather than emotionally invested in the lead character and there is a sense of urgency/importance in what you are doing. It ends up being a beautiful game that can be put away and collect dust because it does not grab your heart
I love this game… the story isn’t the best but the lore is quite deep if you read the Fevrith Archives… the characters are insanely good (for the most part). I love the battles and the overall gameplay but the graphics are just pure gold
picked up my Switch for the first time in awhile to play this game - I was obsessed and didn't want it to end (gameplay-wise) but finished around 55 hours
I want to play this, but I'm trying to finish my playthrough of FF7 rebirth first, and it's a long game. Thanks for the review though, I'm definitely sold on this.
Such a sad thing this company refuses to put their games on PC. The money they could make.... Smfh. I'll never get to play this (or Odin Sphere Leifthrasir or Muramasa, games of theirs that I have played and loved in the past) again. Well...whatever.
@@HellFireRPGs the way how I would do it is some of the B and C-rated characters would be killed off throughout the series but make their deaths meaningful and impactful, what do you think?

Cannot wait to play this masterpiece as soon as I finish P3R
So many long RPGs released around now!

This was a labor of love, I can tell.

I don't replay games often, but this us one I see myself coming back to in the future. Really great
Seems amazing ty for the spotlight
Welcome!

Just finished it on expert after a week ( bought on 25% sale ). Now true zenorian 🎉. Love the game since demo. Such a good experience playing it.

Loved this game; I hope there’s a new game+
hope you did it by now, the first run of the game is like tutorial mode 😅
huge srpg fan and playing this game with perma death on is just a chef kiss

I was pretty much the same. Completely hooked!
This would be perfect for the steam deck
GOTY. Hands down.
You sold me at 1:20

Definitely worth it. I played Rebirth and then this, and it took a while. Two VERY long games.
Vanillaware characters fully clothed!
Should I go back to orge battle. I only played orge battle 64 and it was a masterpiece.
I bought this on PS5 and Switch.
Capcom should have been seeking out formats from actual of they Japanese role playing games titles for they Dragon dogma 2
I heard ff12 and I was sold. Lol.

It's like they WANT me to emulate it.
Yeah, that is strange. Unsure why they haven't yet
It's a shame. I did get it for consoles but would have preferred PC.
They could put some quick mouse controls just to appeal more to pc gamers, would work wonderfully
Disagree. Pc has more than enough choice, good to see a company finally prioritising consoles first.
They seriously need to adapt this into an anime
But the story sucks...
@@Xelief with the anime you can refine, develop and cultivate more and better
Some of the characters were alright. Wouldn't mind them in a well-written setting.

@AziaXtremeNFinity haha sounds like Game of Thrones. Always like a good death in my stories :D
This game is conpletely auto battle. There is no point in playing. It plays itself.
Yeah. Fire Emblem plays itself too. You just need to move your unit to enemy and watch victory screen
Same with ff7. You prepare your characters then press the attack button.
This game is nothing like suikoden. In suikoden you actually play the game. This is like watching a bad anime.
