I have been loving playing and building for Kings of War. I set myself a challenge in March to try paint at a faster pace (I'm very much a perfectionist) and chose KoW not just because I was interested in the gameplay, but because a big army-scale game would force me to be less precious with my paintjobs. I decided to 3d print EVERYTHING and built two armies (the better to play solo with or introduce others to the game), Undead and Ratkin. About a week ago I hit 2000 points painted with each army (4000 pts total in just over 4 months). It's a great feeling and I never would have thought I could get through so many models so quickly.
Oh you say I have no excuse. To quote a legless Jedi, "YOU UNDERESTIMATE MY POWER!" But seriously, it is a SLOW grow, right? In theory may have a regiment done this week... maybe.
How does the KoW Historicals work, are they still current as look the same from a few years ago. Maybe something else to check on and let us know :) Great Guide, thanks for positng.
Historical’s isn’t really supported anymore and the lists are a little out of date now compared to current KoW. You could still use them for your own games but Mantic doesn’t update them anymore.
Do you know which edition the KoWH did get released with and would it be worth a 2nd hand market hunt or still ok to roll with current version? @@BlackJackLegacy
The rank and flank gameplay is pretty good, the army building is interesting but the diorama-like multibasing makes me love this game.

Thats so good to hear! Congrats on smashing out 2 painted armies.
Not a game for me but I love your content Andy. Always a fantastic support tool for people to learn with.
Thanks mate. I appreciate the support.
Thank you for this as I am considering my first kings of war army, I am thinking empire of dust or salamanders
Both great choices. Have fun!

You go your pace buddy!
Even with 2 regiments in 3 weeks You will finish on time. Especially with armies like Ogres or Nightstalkers.
Completely new to Kings of War and Mantic so your video has been great thanks
What attracted me to learn about KoW were the miniatures for Empire of Dust
Amazing video! Thank you so so much🔝
Thanks Andy, a good vid as always going to playing my 1st KOW game for mant years so this rwally helped :)

Will you be doing this for the next deadzone 2 player starter set?
No plans to do so unless Mantic sends me a box to look at. I already have enough Deadzone stuff so won’t be spending any money on buying it.
@@BlackJackLegacy that's a fair point.
Stonking vid!
Thanks!
@@BlackJackLegacy Mind if I embed this on the Companion??
@ERBarratt not at all! Really appreciate it.
