Great interview! Awesome new figures too. Mantic are just getting better and better. Ronnie’s always been genuinely enthusiastic about Kings of War; can’t wait to see where the campaign takes the world.
I find the first unit is the hardest. So much indecision on colour scheme, basing, conversions, etc. After that, I FLY through the rest. My latest army (Halflings) is my absolute favourite.
The development of the lore has been superb, Twilight Kin look incredible. I do hope that maybe next year we will get some of the "good" Elves updated, needs the love the most. Hope all their hard work pays off.
I just bought the Starter Sets for Deadzone and KoW: Vanguard (and try to recruit all of my friends to get an army as well). I'm so looking forward to play it but first I gotta paint it. I'm a lousy painter, so I wish there were more painting tutorials for Mantic Games' products.
Mantic are great. It is easy to see why with people like Ronnie leading the way. They really are like old school GW with the slightly wacky minis and not taking themselves too seriously. I really do need to jump more into KoW as there seems to be a bit more of growth here (GW dominated area). Thanks for doing these. I hope they get more exposure than normal as Mantic and BJL both deserve it greatly.

Worked with Ronnie years back and he's a solid guy and passionate about his hobby. I've recently decided to jump into Kings of War as the Empire of Dust caught my eye. Found a Mantic Premium store to play some games - was trying to visit the Mantic HQ store as it's 4miles from my home but can't find information online and it's been closed whenever I visited. No response from Mantic social media sadly. Is the store still 'a thing'? I'll not be disheartened though.
Mantic HQ is still there and they have a store but i'm not sure its advertised as open the way a normal games store would be. I'd suggest contacting them however it sounds like you did that - in all honesty they dont offer anything your Mantic Premium store doesnt and I assume your local store may even have discounts so I'd stick with that and support your FLGS.
We are here this Friday with all the CoK attendees, and usually if you visit in office hours we will be around. It is just the weekends we are claosed atm. Cheers.I hope you enjoy the EoD. Ronnie

Wish there was a historical supplement for the current version of KoW.
Has anyone has ordered directly from Mantic in the US? I'm wondering if/how much extra it costs and the approximate shipping time. Thanks! Keep rocking the game world Ronnie!
There's also great third party partners in the US such as Miniature Market, Troll Hoard Games, or Twilight Kin on Amazon. Check those out as they have great stock and ship quick and usually free!
Mantics product has definitely improved over the the years, the new models are definitely improvment though the new plastics are fragile, in my Raging void set half the twilight kin miniatures had damage broken tips etc.. absolutely not pleased by this. Everything Mantic does is such a hit or miss with me. The rules are really nice, the models are always either ugly or problematic so they are losing my business as I lean into my 3d printer instead.. I'd nearly prefer everything going to Mantic vault at this point due to this, the armies themes are a mixed bag for me.. no human archers for Order of the Green Lady.. things like this make the lists Wierd imop, and the lore doesn't even come close to giving me the sensation I get thinking about playing in the old world. I play it because I actually enjoy the game play more than WFB but the future of my interest with Kow is murky depending on what the new WFB does when it comes out
Just my opinion but I feel like mantic is spreading themselves out trying to do to many game systems. I think they should realy focuse down on a few games and realy grow those games communities. For most of there games it's nearly impossible to find or even start a community to get them off the ground. At least here In the United States
Were can you get the Free rulebook cost at postage and packaging? Also as this is the 3rd edition, perhaps you might be able to cover the differences from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd? Any recommended how to start playing videos for KoW?
Ronnie's enthusiasm is infectious! I may have to redouble my Kings of War effort which has hit a standstill in the face of the Mantic Sci-Fi stuff.

I guess Kings of War and Firefight are their 2 main games and everything else are more of a side project. That’s how it feels to me.
