Slowly me and the other passengers realized that she was actually talking to another person in the train car, since their responses fit so well together. She hadn't seen this person in years and they both realized what was happening soon after the rest of us. Happy reunion.
This was a very busy video! Between the (very talented!) editing and Jack's energy, my attention span was all over the place. Love the fun the editor was having with the editing, but it was all a bit of a sensory overload! Jack has amazing energy and entertaining commentary, the editing doesn't need to take away from that! I actually like some of the edits, they do help make more jokes and situations feel more chaotic, which is honestly a lot of fun. The only negative thing I can say is that I'm reminded of those really annoying kid TH-cam channels where sounds and effects happen every two seconds just to keep the child's attention long enough. It's - a little annoying sometimes too. But, I do appreciate the branching out! It's always nice to see what does and doesn't work out.
It is a disappointment for people who don’t like hyper editing though, I liked watching his channel because it was not every second edited as I normally watch people who are very calm with almost no to no editing which doesn’t trigger me getting overstimulated ‘:D I still like Jack but I think I have to watch less of him now unfortunately

i just commented the same thing. I love seeing then both having fun, but for the veiwers it can be very chaotic and to much. I’m here for jack and i think the many edits will drive away some veiwers if coninued at the pase it’s going
It used to be just cuts every now and then, if I wanted a heavily edited but good video I'd go to other channels. This is heavily edited but bad, because Jack's channel has never been centered around its editing but the person. But now they cut out the person to add their stupid edits...

The editing in this video is some of the funniest I've ever seen, literally PERFECT editing, Editing that ADDS to the humour instead of being distracting!
I see a lot of people criticizing the overbearing editing, but not many people are actually giving any advice. (Edit: there are now a lot of people giving advice lol) For me, personally, I think it would really help keep things less overwhelming if you just removed the constant background music. It's difficult to focus on what he is saying and doing with it playing. It might also help to reduce sound effects, instead of putting some in every time an action is made. That being said however, as someone who has short attention span, this really kept my attention, usually I just listen to his videos in the background. So overall, the editing is very active, which can be good, but sometimes it can get overwhelming too.
yes, for example at 3:37, the background music was a bit much but I wouldn't initially mind since it was to hype up the clip. I absolutely loved the Mickey Mouse edit. but then there was a lot of music change and the guns afterwards. I don't think you need all that going on, but spacing them out is fine because like you, the comedic zooms, maybe messing with the voice somethings or like the mickey edit isn't so disrupting but definitely funny and eye catching

Hey new editor, great job. Minor things: as someone who is hard of hearing, the noise under Jack talking makes it even more difficult to follow. The edits obscured or misshaped his mouth several times so it was difficult to read his lips as well. The amount of edits was a little overwhelming as well, it distracted from the video.

This is the first time I have looked up who the editor was because of how much it threw me off. A bit overbearing for me but I'm sure a ton of other people enjoyed it plus as time goes on I'm sure Trey will find a "better" balance or space out the videos with intense editing for those who love these edits and those that don't. so this editor did a great job don’t get me wrong, i’m glad they were having fun. it was just a little bit much. it was kind of hard to watch just because it was all over the place. to me things are funnier and easier to watch when it’s toned down and not all up in your face. i’m not quite sure how to describe it but jack is very funny and all this editing is kind of taking away from jack’s humor. still a good video! maybe just tone it down a little in the future ❤️
Totally agree, the over the top editing was funny for like 2 minutes then it became way too much. The idea I got was that the editor is just a bit too young and has the tiktok sense of humor. Hope he reads the criticism and tone it down a bit. Or maybe Jack can teach him some stuff.

Back in like, 2nd grade - we had foam dodgeballs. Me, a friend by the name of Dylan, and another by Jorge. End of PE class, we're cleaning up after one of the games, I got bored and dropkicked one from half court - no aim, no thought, but it swished. It did, however, graze the net. Kinda, kinda amazing, if only I had means of proving it now. Maybe I could dropkick a ball again. Maybe not. Rocket League and general soccer has taught me a lot about balls. I've also hit some pretty insane clips in gaming, so.. Good luck finding your proof, if is any there.
i love the new editor's style! some of my favourites so far have been the "DOOM DOOM DOOM DOOM" from the try not to get anxious video, the blowdart edit, and "it's a jimmy johns". i agree with the others through that it can get a bit overwhelming when there's too many effects added too close together
Editor sure was having fun with this one, I'm happy for them. Some good visual/audio jokes there. Some misses, and the pacing was a bit frantic, less is more sometimes, but keep at it my dude.
Tons of edits in this, and they're good, funny edita. But it feels like a lot to me. I'm reminded of those clip review tv shows that have b roll celebrities with commentary and a ton of edits. Which I guess this is a similar format, and if that's the direction Jack wants to head that's totally fine. But it does feel strange for him. Still enjoyed the video though.

I actually like some of the edits, they do help make more jokes and situations feel more chaotic, which is honestly a lot of fun.
The only negative thing I can say is that I'm reminded of those really annoying kid TH-cam channels where sounds and effects happen every two seconds just to keep the child's attention long enough. It's - a little annoying sometimes too. But, I do appreciate the branching out! It's always nice to see what does and doesn't work out.
It is a disappointment for people who don’t like hyper editing though, I liked watching his channel because it was not every second edited as I normally watch people who are very calm with almost no to no editing which doesn’t trigger me getting overstimulated ‘:D I still like Jack but I think I have to watch less of him now unfortunately

i just commented the same thing. I love seeing then both having fun, but for the veiwers it can be very chaotic and to much. I’m here for jack and i think the many edits will drive away some veiwers if coninued at the pase it’s going
It used to be just cuts every now and then, if I wanted a heavily edited but good video I'd go to other channels. This is heavily edited but bad, because Jack's channel has never been centered around its editing but the person. But now they cut out the person to add their stupid edits...

The editing in this video is some of the funniest I've ever seen, literally PERFECT editing, Editing that ADDS to the humour instead of being distracting!
I see a lot of people criticizing the overbearing editing, but not many people are actually giving any advice. (Edit: there are now a lot of people giving advice lol)
For me, personally, I think it would really help keep things less overwhelming if you just removed the constant background music. It's difficult to focus on what he is saying and doing with it playing.
It might also help to reduce sound effects, instead of putting some in every time an action is made.
That being said however, as someone who has short attention span, this really kept my attention, usually I just listen to his videos in the background.

yes, for example at 3:37, the background music was a bit much but I wouldn't initially mind since it was to hype up the clip. I absolutely loved the Mickey Mouse edit. but then there was a lot of music change and the guns afterwards. I don't think you need all that going on, but spacing them out is fine because like you, the comedic zooms, maybe messing with the voice somethings or like the mickey edit isn't so disrupting but definitely funny and eye catching

For me the constant zoom, shakes, jump, inserts are too distracting and I am loosing comprehension of the real content of the video... tone them down significantly.

If you google "nutmeg", the second result is a wikipedia article about being nutmegged in football. That article includes the info given by Muhammad in his comment above but also includes another possible explanation for where the term came from.
Also, it's usually faster to google the info yourself than to sift through a ton of comments to find what you're looking for.

Hey new editor, great job. Minor things: as someone who is hard of hearing, the noise under Jack talking makes it even more difficult to follow. The edits obscured or misshaped his mouth several times so it was difficult to read his lips as well. The amount of edits was a little overwhelming as well, it distracted from the video.

so this editor did a great job don’t get me wrong, i’m glad they were having fun. it was just a little bit much. it was kind of hard to watch just because it was all over the place. to me things are funnier and easier to watch when it’s toned down and not all up in your face. i’m not quite sure how to describe it but jack is very funny and all this editing is kind of taking away from jack’s humor. still a good video! maybe just tone it down a little in the future ❤️

Totally agree, the over the top editing was funny for like 2 minutes then it became way too much. The idea I got was that the editor is just a bit too young and has the tiktok sense of humor. Hope he reads the criticism and tone it down a bit. Or maybe Jack can teach him some stuff.

Once I was putting stuff in those hook places they have at elementary school, and all of it spills on the ground so I get pissed and do the only reasonable thing and throw my lunch bag across the room.
It lands on a hook at the far end of the room; for context here its an L shaped hallway and I’m at the bottom right, and a random kid from the other part of the L shaped hallway sees the lunchbag fly; with no context where it came from, and its handle land perfectly on the hook.

Back in like, 2nd grade - we had foam dodgeballs. Me, a friend by the name of Dylan, and another by Jorge. End of PE class, we're cleaning up after one of the games, I got bored and dropkicked one from half court - no aim, no thought, but it swished. It did, however, graze the net. Kinda, kinda amazing, if only I had means of proving it now. Maybe I could dropkick a ball again. Maybe not. Rocket League and general soccer has taught me a lot about balls. I've also hit some pretty insane clips in gaming, so..

Editor sure was having fun with this one, I'm happy for them. Some good visual/audio jokes there. Some misses, and the pacing was a bit frantic, less is more sometimes, but keep at it my dude.

Tons of edits in this, and they're good, funny edita. But it feels like a lot to me. I'm reminded of those clip review tv shows that have b roll celebrities with commentary and a ton of edits. Which I guess this is a similar format, and if that's the direction Jack wants to head that's totally fine. But it does feel strange for him. Still enjoyed the video though.
