    It's nice to hear these guys talk about Dan Louie. What Mark failed to mention is that 20 years ago Dan Louie was so sick his doctors had basically signed his death certificate. After years of dialysis and living in hospitals he's still playing jam up and looking like a 30 year old. I'd love to see Danny matched up on TAR. He deserves it and his story needs to be told. If people knew about the battles he fought they'd be absolutely inspired by his ability to still compete in his late 50s.

    The table time is amazing - you should have more table time in all of your future podcasts...such a great insight into the minds of the world's best.

    I always watch the TAR podcasts on youtube and especially enjoy the 'hands on' parts and stories relating to other players. Super interesting stuff, thanks to Shane and Johnny and of course to the Mark/Justin. Interesting what Johnny said about Dennis too

    great work, thanks justin. very heavy discussion at the table. serious. i see why you said this match has been discussed for a long time. i will watch this again and again, and take notes. i can't believe this was free. it might be worth more than the 3 races to 25

    Me and Johnny aim the exact same way. I don’t really have to walk, and look at the straight line even though I do it sometimes. During tough matches, I guess I do it to build confidence or because of lack of confidence.

    I know this sounds kind of strange if someone can elaborate on my speculation I played a few deaf people in my life that never played pool it seems like they have improved hand-eye coordination over an average person because they were actually pretty good and they never played before I don't know if it's more like a sixth sense or what maybe someone could elaborate.

    I am glad Johnny mentioned Ernesto going 11-0. Johnny only got three turns and made no balls. I cannot remember, if he had a shot, I am pretty sure he was hoked two of the trips to the table. It was more than 25 years ago. Ernesto ran the last 8 racks.

    What matters on the break is the elevation the q hits the rack

    It's pretty strange how Shane at such a level can not be clear about his system nor suggesting any drills- I guess it's because he is such a natural and started so early that it became second nature for him-Also how does he expect to sell his instructional videos if he speaks so negatively about drills? Nevertheless he is still one my favorites but surely wish he can share his knowledge in a more intellectual and clearer fashion.

      +Ocean8881 any player that started playing when they were 3 years is old is like that. he also comes from a family of pool champions.

      It's like asking a basketball player how he aims for the basket or how a pitcher aims for the strike zone...it's feel. When you shoot thousands of balls a day, you don't have a system, you just naturally line it up right.

    • @RichardsWorld
      @RichardsWorld 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you play good you don't use some system to aim, it just comes natural. Even for bank shots you can just do it naturally. The only time a god player might use a sytem is if they need to kick at a ball.

    This thing is stupid. So what was the point of having Dechaine vs Hatch match? Dechaine should play Archer NEXT than Winner of that will play Busty in the Final.
