@@Isaacisaperson4677 by this logic it would also disqualify Black Manta. He was the secondary villain in both Aquaman movies. I'd wager others on your list would also be discredited in the same manner. Consistency is key.

Blue Beetle The Flash Birds of Prey Peacemaker The Suicide Squad ZSJL Dawn of Justice Man of Steel I haven't seen The Lost Kingdom yet, but from what I hear it's pretty close to the first, so I imagine it'll sit right next to it
Birds of Prey gets overhated imo.. it’s not a spectacular cinematic experience by any means and when it’s cheesy its CHEESY but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Black Mask was great and so was Huntress and Harley and the wardrobe was okay. I feel like changing Cassandra into an entirely diff character as well as changing the name to Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey could’ve benefited it sm. Certainly better than some other movies in the dceu imo.

in the early years of DCEU Justice League is supposed to be split into 2 movies Part 1 is the team finding the human's mother box and Part 2 is reviving Superman and beat Steppenwolf The Flash will learn Time Travel powers and Aquaman will get Poseidon's Trydent in their movies released between the 2 JL movies so it makes sense that Snyder Cut is 4 hours long because it's actually 2 movies connected together
Even I can say for a fact that Justice is Gray Justice League Snyder Cut is leagues better than the Flash. I know in time the DCEU Snyderverse Justice League live sequels will return through Universal due to Snyderverse fan popularity that's been ignored by Gunn. Plus more of the Snyderverse and Ayerverse.

In my honest opinion Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey in the single most underrated DCEU movie. It's not perfect but I really like the characters, the dynamics, Black Mask as the main villain, I liked how it was colorful and bright contrasting the muted and dull colors from the Suicide Squad and I liked how it was in Harley Quinn's perspective and trying to get over the Joker
It's a movie mishandled to hell. If they promoted it as "Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey" from the get go and actually cared to have respect for certain characters (like Cassandra Cain) it might be a lot closer in quality to The Suicide Squad that most folks would think.
@@ivanagustinortiz5237 I was talking about 2016 Suicide Squad if you didn't know. Also I didn't mind the changes to Cassandra Cain although I will agree they should have chosen a different character. I still stand by that it's extremely underrated. So let's agree to disagree and just respect each other's opinions
@@marcelinovazquez5128 oh absolutely, I know you were talking about the first one, what I meant was that if the movie was handled a bit better (all about the name and Cassandra Cain/Victor Zsasz which are the only characters that are basically OC's with names from the comics) the quality would've been closer to Gunn's Suicide Squad. Your opinion is in no way disrespected, just pointing out certain points that if made better we would all be on a similar page. Thanks for being civil about it too, hopefully I got my point across better.
I agree. I am a comic fan, and in particular think Cassandra Cain is one of the cooler characters in the Batman mythos. I’m glad we’re rebooting so that we can maybe get a new version of that character. But I think when judging a movie this should be like a lower tier consideration. Judging it as a movie, it’s pretty decent. I can’t imagine placing it below Suicide Squad (2016). It has at least one memorable action scene, the prison escape scene. That was a legitimately inspired colorful, and well choreographed fight scene. There is not a single one of those in the original suicide squad. Your mileage may vary with Harley as a character but for the most part I think Margot brings her to life in this one. The very in your face editing feels like it was actually intentional and done for style here. Whereas in suicide squad it leaves you feeling like someone chopped someone else’s movie into pieces at the last minute, leaving several different music videos and a handful of story progressing dialogue scenes to make it make the bare minimum sense. Also Ewan McGregor, though not an accurate interpretation of the character, is so fun as black mask here. He has several line deliveries throughout that are just amazing. There isn’t anything overly embarrassing in this movie, it might not soar to new heights but it is solid. There is no Jared “Hunka hunka” Leto bullshit, no belly dancing magic bad guy, no el Diablo suddenly being like “I care now, you guys made me care!” Type shit. I think Suicide Squad might be one of the worst big budget blockbuster movies I’ve ever seen. Birds of Prey is a not very loyal, but still competent, action comedy
As connected universe it is horrible, but when look at each project I would say on 3 of them are put right bad (josstic League, ww84 and suicide squad) most are average to good and then some are great
Movies are a subjective experience so whatever you think is what it is. But just from my point of view, I can put Ezra Miller’s personal life to the side as much as I think is possible and it doesn’t change that for me watching the movie filled me with a sense of emptiness and cynicism. For one thing, it is one of the ugliest movies I’ve ever watched. Some will say, bad CGI aside, it’s good. I say, films are a visual medium and I cannot put aside the god awful visuals. They’re not only awful from like a texture quality point of view, they’re poorly conceived. The final battle taking place in an empty Halo Forge map is baffling and boring. The choice of having an 80 year old Michael Keaton just jumping around with more mobility and less real world weight than Ben Affleck, is just a bad one. One that was made for cynical reasons, to get people to ooo and ahh and memba things so they will buy tickets. A better film would have worked around that, not simply ignored it. Most of the middle section of the movie in particular feels like studio executives barking orders at poor Andy Muscietti. They needed to replace Ben affleck so we bring back Keaton and we bring in supergirl because at some point they had beef with Cavill or something. You can feel the skeleton of their former plan to do a semi reboot with Keaton in the Nick fury role, and supergirl and batgirl playing prominent roles. Except during production they went back on that so we don’t even have that! Supergirl just gets erased, batman is Clooney, and all we have to show for it is one of the ugliest most cynical movies of all time. The multiverse scene is just pure eye roll inducing pandering garbage. And it’s ugly too! And baffling! The choices for cameos are just weird, not that it would have been much better if they were better chosen. The moment in the grocery store with his mom is the one shining beacon of the human core of this movie that had long since been stripped out. I could believe that that scene has been in versions of the script going back a while, and it’s good in a vacuum. In context it’s too little too late. So yeah in conclusion, this movie made my heart feel empty and my eyes hurt. 2/10

I honestly really enjoyed Shazam 2. I do agree there were several big flaws, including the ones you mentioned, but it was a fun watch and I don't think the villains were nearly as bad as most people think. I don't know enough about Shazam's rogues to feel disappointed none of them were used. Black Adam would have been a better choice for a villain though.

Will (probably) never watch: Suicide Squad (2016), Birds of Prey Haven’t watched yet: The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom 12: Justice League (The actual Snyder stuff and Superman’s characterization is all I can give this disgusting mess) 11: Wonder Woman 1984 (well, at least Pedro Pascal was good, still not a good movie though) 10: Batman V Superman (action is great, Wonder Woman is great, but I don’t like Superman and Batman’s characterization, it feels like it doesn’t give enough things for Superman in favor of Batman instead of giving them equal focus when both of them are in the title, and it shouldn’t have even bothered with Doomsday and The Death of Superman) 9: BVS Ultimate Edition (it gives more for Superman and makes it overall somewhat more enjoyable for me but it does still have issues regardless) 8: Black Adam (I mean, I had fun with it, I liked the action, the JSA was mostly great, mainly from Doctor Fate (I seriously hope they bring that actor back in the future) and Hawkman, and the uncle was great, though the villain was very bland, I do think they could’ve done more with Atom Smasher and Cyclone, the mother wasn’t very interesting (though I did find the scene where she’s talking down to Black Adam and the JSA when they’re arguing while her son is in danger and they don’t even bother saying anything else funny), and the kid really needs to work on his acting, plus the Superman post credit scene, while not a bad thing for the movie itself, now leaves a bad taste in the mouth because us DC fans and especially Cavill were done beyond dirty, but I still had a fun time so I’d say I think it was just good) 7: The Flash (while this movie got me more disappointed then Multiverse of Madness, it’s similar to Black Adam where I just had enough fun with it, while I don’t like Miller in the role, this movie definitely improved on this version of Barry in his characterization, not by a lot but I definitely thought this felt more like Barry then in either version of JL, Keaton’s Batman was definitely the highlight (though I should not be saying that about the first theatrical Flash movie), Supergirl was pretty good, it was great to see Batfleck one last time, and aside from some things including the CGI, I actually really like the beginning because of how much it just felt like a day in the life of DC, Flash helping Batman in Gotham, Wonder Woman coming in later, and giving an explanation for why Superman isn’t there, plus it was nice to hear these characters aside from Superman and Batman actually be referred to by their superhero names like Flash, Wonder Woman, and even calling the team the Justice League since I don’t remember other movies doing that from the characters themselves aside from the kid in Black Adam and I think Freddy in Shazam but I don’t remember for the latter, I just enjoyed most of that stuff, but even still for the first Flash movie in theaters, this not only could’ve been so much better, but it should’ve been) 6: Man of Steel (I’m not a fan of how Snyder characterized Superman, but I’ll take that and overall an enjoyable movie for me over something I found good but disappointing like Flash) 5: Blue Beetle ((eh, I’ll count it for now) It may be generic and have bland villains but I could care less about that when the movie overall is very fun to me, mainly for Blue Beetle himself, the casting was great, and the suit is awesome, it perfectly adapted the suit from the comics, I also like how Jaime even changed the Scarab from its violent ways to agreeing with him about not taking lives. I really hope this movie will be a part of the DCU so it’s not wasted on this franchise or at least that it’s true Xolo will still be Blue Beetle, even without seeing Shazam 2 and Aquaman 2, I feel confident in calling this the best DC movie of 2023) 4: Aquaman (while I’m not sure if this is there with my favorite DC movies, it is pretty close, this was a great time and felt like one of the closest times a superhero movie was like a comic in action (at least with live action) 3: Wonder Woman (the third act could’ve been better and Ares wasn’t a great villain, but I still think this really got a lot of things right mostly through Diana herself and Steve was also great, kinda sucks this didn’t get a better sequel or even get a complete trilogy but whatever) 2: Shazam (not a great villain but this movie was just a blast throughout and Billy and Freddy have a great dynamic) 1: Zack Snyder’s Justice League (they definitely didn’t need to make it four hours, they could’ve sped up like half of the slow motion and the final scene with the scenes with Lex and Deathstroke and Bruce’s Knightmare vision and Martian Manhunter could’ve just been post credit scenes, the final shots of the League with Silas’ voiceover ending with Superman ripping open his shirt to reveal his emblem would’ve been a much better place to end the actual movie, plus I also find it annoying they constantly used that other theme for Wonder Woman like any time Diana did anything cool instead of her first theme, but regardless I still find this to be a massive improvement from before and actually felt like what the first Justice League movie should’ve been)

Shazam (Looks cheap to me, i wish only Freddy and Mary got powers along side Billy, i actually thought the villains were not even canon because of how cheap they felt to me) (This gap is to separate movies I wouldn't mind rewatching to those i would) 9. Wonder woman 1984 10. Black Adam (I actively despise these movies) 11. Birds of Prey (Cassandra Cain is sometimes my favorite female superhero character ever - I say sometimes because i change my mind a lot depending on what comic I'm reading or what show I'm watching. Still I really really like the character. This has to be the single WORST comic book adaptation of a character I have ever seen and I watched the entire arrow verse) 12. Josstice League (I didn't hate it when it first came out but after the Snyder Cut I cannot this film because of what it robbed us. We could have had a complete darkseid saga with a little injustice superman on the side but this movie assasinated the DCEU and it never recovered even though Aquaman made us think it had) Haven't seen the rest because as much as i enjoyed the snyder cut it actively killed my hype for any other dceu project because all i could think of when watching them is "we could have been watching darkseid instead of this trash". It's probably why i don't have as high an opinion as you on things like The suicide squad or even the upcoming DCU. I'm trying to make myself excited for things to come but I've got to be honest it's hard being a dc fan seeing marvel shine so brightly for so long (maybe not as bright of late) while dc just continues to fall flat on it's face. Anyway I know my list is obviously different from yours. I have always been able to tell you obviously are not a Zack Snyder fan whilst I think my list gives away that I am one. Still I think James Gunn is really good at what he does so hopefully the dcu ends up being special but I ain't holding my breath.
To give clarity to my ranking of Wonder Woman 1984 and Black Adam WW84: I don't hate this movie. I just think it's opening was really really cheap and the first wonder woman set a very high bar. Not to come off as sexist but i just don't think Patty Jenkins is that great a director on her own, I think her and Zack Snyder bring out the best in each other. He can do better shots and knows the characters more than her while she reduced the slow mo and brings some much needed lightheartedness and emotion. I don't mind Cheetah simply because this is literally her only ever live action appearance which is insane to me because she is the archenemy of one of the big 3. I'm just glad her and Wonder Woman actually fight in live action even though it's not in the best movie ever. The wish stone thing may be a plot hole but if I'm being honest it was entertaining enough. I cannot express more just how much I dislike Wonder Woman swinging on lightning. She can literally fly. Black Adam: He is literally Captain Marvel's archenemy why is he acting like Superman is his archenemy. I mean the joker movie had little kid Bruce Wayne in it. Also hot as this take may be I think the arrowverse both in legends of tomorrow and Stargirl did the Justice Society of America way better. I personally prefer Hawkman and Hawkgirl being aliens from Thanagar over them being reincarnations of Egyptians mainly because I grew up on Justice League the animated series.
Honestly wonder woman 2 gets far too much hate. Now ofc it's not a perfect movie and it dosent even come close to some of the best comic book movies however I think what alot of people forget is yes in tone its verry different to that of any other wonderwoman appearance in the dceu but that's because zack snyder was under majority of her appearances and mishandled many characters with a dark and gritty tone whereas wonderwoman is a charcater with many different tones throughout the comics, some more silly and campy and light hated aimed towards children which this movie heavily is aimed more towards. Now I not saying its a perfect movie, it's far from it for example I hate the misuse of cheetas character and sometimes in some scenes it was too silly but overall it gives a loght harted charming and very fun watch and lets be honest Pedro pascal killed it I the role. So I'm sorry for this hot take but wonderwoman is one of my favourite dc comic book movies.
I have not seen Aquaman 1 & 2, Shazam 1 & 2, Peacemaker or Blue Beetle so my list is only 11. 1 - Wonder Woman 7.5/10 2 - Man of Steel 7/10 3 - Batman v Superman:Dawn of Justice 6.5/10 4 - Justice League 6.5/10 5 - The Flash 6.5/10 6 - Black Adam 6/10 7 - Zack Snyder's Justice League 6/10 8 - Birds of Prey 5.5/10 9 - The Suicide Squad 5/10 10 - Suicide Squad 4.5/10 11 - Wonder Woman 1984 4/10

I haven't seen The Lost Kingdom yet, but from what I hear it's pretty close to the first, so I imagine it'll sit right next to it
Birds of Prey gets overhated imo.. it’s not a spectacular cinematic experience by any means and when it’s cheesy its CHEESY but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Black Mask was great and so was Huntress and Harley and the wardrobe was okay. I feel like changing Cassandra into an entirely diff character as well as changing the name to Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey could’ve benefited it sm. Certainly better than some other movies in the dceu imo.

in the early years of DCEU
Justice League is supposed to be split into 2 movies
Part 1 is the team finding the human's mother box and Part 2 is reviving Superman and beat Steppenwolf
The Flash will learn Time Travel powers and Aquaman will get Poseidon's Trydent in their movies released between the 2 JL movies
so it makes sense that Snyder Cut is 4 hours long because it's actually 2 movies connected together

As connected universe it is horrible, but when look at each project I would say on 3 of them are put right bad (josstic League, ww84 and suicide squad) most are average to good and then some are great
I don’t understand where all the Flash hate comes from. The movie was enjoyable, and if you ignore what Ezra did, it’s a good movie

Ares did influence World War One, but not in the way you think. When Ares is bound to the lasso of truth, he tells the literal truth to Diana, without bias or honesty. That's what makes him such an incredible villain and why he's important to Diana's character. Both have seen the terrible truth of humankind, and both turn their backs on humanity. However, Steve and his sacrifice separate Diana and Ares, since she learns of humanity's potential for love and compassion, so she stands her ground on the belief that there is hope for humanity I'm glad I'm not the only one who hated that Billy Batson was almost an adult in Shazam 2. That does take away the uniqueness of the character. He's supposed to be a kid in the body of a powerful superhero. Hi,
For me Zack Snyder Justice League is the best movie of DC
I honestly really enjoyed Shazam 2. I do agree there were several big flaws, including the ones you mentioned, but it was a fun watch and I don't think the villains were nearly as bad as most people think. I don't know enough about Shazam's rogues to feel disappointed none of them were used. Black Adam would have been a better choice for a villain though.

Will (probably) never watch: Suicide Squad (2016), Birds of Prey
Haven’t watched yet: The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
12: Justice League (The actual Snyder stuff and Superman’s characterization is all I can give this disgusting mess)
11: Wonder Woman 1984 (well, at least Pedro Pascal was good, still not a good movie though)
10: Batman V Superman (action is great, Wonder Woman is great, but I don’t like Superman and Batman’s characterization, it feels like it doesn’t give enough things for Superman in favor of Batman instead of giving them equal focus when both of them are in the title, and it shouldn’t have even bothered with Doomsday and The Death of Superman)
9: BVS Ultimate Edition (it gives more for Superman and makes it overall somewhat more enjoyable for me but it does still have issues regardless)
8: Black Adam (I mean, I had fun with it, I liked the action, the JSA was mostly great, mainly from Doctor Fate (I seriously hope they bring that actor back in the future) and Hawkman, and the uncle was great, though the villain was very bland, I do think they could’ve done more with Atom Smasher and Cyclone, the mother wasn’t very interesting (though I did find the scene where she’s talking down to Black Adam and the JSA when they’re arguing while her son is in danger and they don’t even bother saying anything else funny), and the kid really needs to work on his acting, plus the Superman post credit scene, while not a bad thing for the movie itself, now leaves a bad taste in the mouth because us DC fans and especially Cavill were done beyond dirty, but I still had a fun time so I’d say I think it was just good)
7: The Flash (while this movie got me more disappointed then Multiverse of Madness, it’s similar to Black Adam where I just had enough fun with it, while I don’t like Miller in the role, this movie definitely improved on this version of Barry in his characterization, not by a lot but I definitely thought this felt more like Barry then in either version of JL, Keaton’s Batman was definitely the highlight (though I should not be saying that about the first theatrical Flash movie), Supergirl was pretty good, it was great to see Batfleck one last time, and aside from some things including the CGI, I actually really like the beginning because of how much it just felt like a day in the life of DC, Flash helping Batman in Gotham, Wonder Woman coming in later, and giving an explanation for why Superman isn’t there, plus it was nice to hear these characters aside from Superman and Batman actually be referred to by their superhero names like Flash, Wonder Woman, and even calling the team the Justice League since I don’t remember other movies doing that from the characters themselves aside from the kid in Black Adam and I think Freddy in Shazam but I don’t remember for the latter, I just enjoyed most of that stuff, but even still for the first Flash movie in theaters, this not only could’ve been so much better, but it should’ve been)
6: Man of Steel (I’m not a fan of how Snyder characterized Superman, but I’ll take that and overall an enjoyable movie for me over something I found good but disappointing like Flash)
5: Blue Beetle ((eh, I’ll count it for now) It may be generic and have bland villains but I could care less about that when the movie overall is very fun to me, mainly for Blue Beetle himself, the casting was great, and the suit is awesome, it perfectly adapted the suit from the comics, I also like how Jaime even changed the Scarab from its violent ways to agreeing with him about not taking lives. I really hope this movie will be a part of the DCU so it’s not wasted on this franchise or at least that it’s true Xolo will still be Blue Beetle, even without seeing Shazam 2 and Aquaman 2, I feel confident in calling this the best DC movie of 2023)
4: Aquaman (while I’m not sure if this is there with my favorite DC movies, it is pretty close, this was a great time and felt like one of the closest times a superhero movie was like a comic in action (at least with live action)
3: Wonder Woman (the third act could’ve been better and Ares wasn’t a great villain, but I still think this really got a lot of things right mostly through Diana herself and Steve was also great, kinda sucks this didn’t get a better sequel or even get a complete trilogy but whatever)
2: Shazam (not a great villain but this movie was just a blast throughout and Billy and Freddy have a great dynamic)
1: Zack Snyder’s Justice League (they definitely didn’t need to make it four hours, they could’ve sped up like half of the slow motion and the final scene with the scenes with Lex and Deathstroke and Bruce’s Knightmare vision and Martian Manhunter could’ve just been post credit scenes, the final shots of the League with Silas’ voiceover ending with Superman ripping open his shirt to reveal his emblem would’ve been a much better place to end the actual movie, plus I also find it annoying they constantly used that other theme for Wonder Woman like any time Diana did anything cool instead of her first theme, but regardless I still find this to be a massive improvement from before and actually felt like what the first Justice League movie should’ve been)

Black Lion are you gonna do a DCEU main villain rankint
Maybe
Here's my ranking
1. Zack Snyder's justice league
(every single one ZS movies could be shortened by dialing down the slow mo but still I COMPLETELY disagree with you. This movie is easy to watch in one sitting and the only reason I don't rewatch it is it pisses me of because of what could have been if we'd gotten this instead of josstice league in 2016.)
2. Wonder Woman
3. Aquaman
4. The Suicide Squad
5. Man of Steel
(Lay off Papa Kent, his logic was sound he didn't want his son to get carted off to area 51 he's just a poor adaptation of the comic book version of the character)
6. Batman v Superman
7. Suicide Squad
(I know i have this movie higher than anyone else on the planet but I find it to be a fun watch and never hated it)
8. Shazam
(Looks cheap to me, i wish only Freddy and Mary got powers along side Billy, i actually thought the villains were not even canon because of how cheap they felt to me)
(This gap is to separate movies I wouldn't mind rewatching to those i would)
9. Wonder woman 1984
10. Black Adam
(I actively despise these movies)
11. Birds of Prey
(Cassandra Cain is sometimes my favorite female superhero character ever - I say sometimes because i change my mind a lot depending on what comic I'm reading or what show I'm watching. Still I really really like the character. This has to be the single WORST comic book adaptation of a character I have ever seen and I watched the entire arrow verse)
12. Josstice League
(I didn't hate it when it first came out but after the Snyder Cut I cannot this film because of what it robbed us. We could have had a complete darkseid saga with a little injustice superman on the side but this movie assasinated the DCEU and it never recovered even though Aquaman made us think it had)
Haven't seen the rest because as much as i enjoyed the snyder cut it actively killed my hype for any other dceu project because all i could think of when watching them is "we could have been watching darkseid instead of this trash".
To give clarity to my ranking of Wonder Woman 1984 and Black Adam
WW84: I don't hate this movie.
So I'm sorry for this hot take but wonderwoman is one of my favourite dc comic book movies.
you are steal alive in the army🥳

When Are You Doing Marvel Characters Live Action Debuts Video
The suicide squad
Peacemaker
Shazam
Wonder Woman
Blue beetle
Everything else sucks
Why does amanda create the suicide squad if she leads the justice society? Just saying the continuity is messed up
James Gunn should write and direct a Harley Quinn movie
Again?
@@TheBlackLion001 shit, I meant to put Harley Quinn because he handled her so great in the suicide squad, my bad
He told it like it is
Thank you
Someone who can see suicide squad is way better than birds of prey
James Gunn DCU will not last and the DCEU will return with the Snyderverse.
LMAOOO
@@JM-lp1jf You laugh but you know it to be true.

It could be worse you could be like me, i'm apparently the only one who liked Justice League 2017.
Are Gunn's Peacemaker and Suicide Squad that good? I don't like his Guardians of the galaxy movies, the way they joke always about anything is jarring and not my cup of tea. From the movies from DCEU I have seen Snyder's Justice League is my favourite
They are best of DCEU
and the Guardian movies are goated
Both Shazam movies and Suicide Squad movies suck
Massively overrated Zachs JL movie it was marginally better than the first version
I didnt think WW84 was THAT bad lol.
Man of Steel wasnt a Superman movie.
Shazam movies are pretty good.
Havent seen Aquamans.
The Suicide Squad is extraordianry.
BvS doesnt have Batman or Superman in it and is pretty cheeks.
Flash was... no
Blue Beetle was pretty darn good.
Justice Leagues were bad.
Black Adam was meh.
WW1 was neat.
Jonathan Kent is BY FAR the worst character in the DCEU
Luthor, Joker, Flash, Barry 2, Cheetah and Cassandra Cain give him a run for his money

@@TheBlackLion001seeing The Flash and Aquaman 2 get more love than The justice league Snyder cut and Aquaman tells me it's a lot of Warner Bros plants
And I say this because of how much Wb went out of their way to push both films and throws the fans under the bus
BvS 4/10
BvS: Ultimate Edition 5/10
LMAOOOOOOOOO
