Hi, just holding our door open with my sketch book! Well, if I didn’t learn anything I certainly laughed with you at your funny phrases! On re-telling to my other half we laughed again! What fun! Did like some of your sketches though, & especially liked the girl that looked like an advert ( over 2 pages with shapes in her hair!) , also the lighthouses & trucks. I now if I go for short walks take my little book & do mostly pencil sketches in. Hope to look back like you do, & remember. Thanks we enjoyed your sketch book, & empty pages discovery!
Thanks so much Valerie. I'm pretty proud of the variety in this one to be sure. It is fun to work this small sometimes. That one of the two pages is my favourite artists too. It looks like an 80's advert to me.
Very interesting listening to your descriptions and memories in this little sketch book, Doug. My condolences to you, too, on your Mum’s passing last year.
Interesting nosy. I recognise the NGH of course. I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your mum. My first day at work was there in 1976, I was 16. I do like your diverse choice of subjects, from tractors to beautiful portraits. I'm especially interested in the line work portraits, reminds me of Giacometti. Maybe you could do a video demonstration of this style for us 🤔
This is the first video I've seen of yours, I immediately subscribed. Really nice art and calm but funny commentary. And the thing you mentioned about using sketchbooks to hold open doors or fight off burglars made it into my sketchbook because it made me laugh. :D Greetings from Germany!

Love seeing the adventures and experiments! Both inspiring and comforting. Great tour, Doug! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it. I do love looking back on them

Welcome aboard! Thanks for your lovely comment and I'm glad you like the nonsense.
Nice variety in that little book Doug. Turned out to be even littler than expected 😂
I know, right? But they do perfectly slip in a pocket!
Love your sketchbook!
Thanks.😀
This is nice 👏☺
Thanks very much
