At 5:05, is that glowing shirt a Skre base layer? I know the efficacy of UV stuff can be debated ad nauseam, but it's a good FYI just in case. 1% improvement can still win the game
Yes it is. That is part if the next video where I wash a few items in UV brightener washing detergent and then wash them and spray them with UV brighteners. That one is coming soon where I share my results.
Can trail cameras give any indication of this? I have noticed some camo that goes " white out" in infrared pic and other ones ( older clothes ) that doesn't.
I have seen this. I think the new plastic based clothing reflects the infrared light rather than absorbs it like a more natural fabric would. So that is what you are seeing. From what i can tell, this does not indicate a IV fabric. Since I can get see the “white” reflection of a fabric that does not glow with UV brighteners. Since deer don’t see Infrared, those fabrics are fine but will reflect the full spectrum light more than a natural fiber.
How can I remove the UV with buying “specialized products”? I’ve read that Vinager, peroxide and baking soda works for this. What are your thoughts and would you be willing to test it?
I might be willing to test it and see what it does and check it with my UV light. What i have found is that with water resistant fabrics (most of the hunting lines - polyester based) that if a base fabric that printed on is a UV brightened fabric, you basically are SOL. My tests have found that although the UV killer sprays hide the UV when applied, that after it dries, the UV will glow under UV light.
Hi. I got cammo for deer hunt with orange on it. As i understand, the deer dosent see orange. Buth when i light it on the side with UV light, the orange part glows strong. The other cammo parts dosent glow at all. I tested some other orange clothes, they dident glow. What do you think about this?
What camo pattern and brand did you get? The orange having a UV brightener in it will probably reflect UV rays an pop a little more. I don''t have any camo patters with orange in them but I have a few cheap orange vests and a quality orange vest. The quality (cotton type vest) does not glow but the cheap nylon type vest does glow with the UV light.
I'd like to see this tested on blaze orange...because most of my blaze glows brightly under a UV light.
I will get something out there.

@skulekarijord1668 if the fabric is rain resistant, the sprays only works when wet it seems.
