Hi everyone. The cost of repairs was RM370. Ichang please pin my comment since so many people go straight to the comment section before finish watching 😂😂
This is my first time super chat for you . For me , that man say change new window need cost RM1000 is too shocked for me , that is easy part no too expensive . Lucky call to retail car service to less cost . And window is not easy broken , expect when hit by rock or any accident to broken window. This car Perodua Axia is base from Daihatsu Ayla and Toyota Agya , because Perodua partner with Daihatsu. Including the famous Perodua Myvi is from Daihatsu Sirion . So it feels like twins car model. And stay safe and happy travels.
Thank you coming to my humble restaurant. Know that you’ve earned me as your life time friend. If u come to kedah. You can meet me anytime. Arigatou gozaimaisu. ❤❤❤
The orange colour paste they put in the laksa is "Sambal Nyiok" or Coconut Sambal. In Kedah, coconut (kelapa) is also called "nyiok". Laksa Teluk Kechai is famous in Kedah, very happy you both can try it. 😃 Kedah is the "Rice Bowl" of Malaysia, most of our rice is produced in Kedah. Even the laksa noodles is made locally by the laksa stall from "pulut" (glutinuous rice or mochi). If you go to Alor Setar do visit Pekan Rabu and try the "Dodol" which has 2 flavours: Brown sugar and Durian. It is also made from mochi and is very famous.
Din laksa beras teluk kenchai terbaek!! TQ boss kerana sudi belanja iChang 😁.. moga rezeki anda murah selalu.. saya Dari Johor, InsyaAllah nanti nak pergi Sana try makan.. tengok iChang makan pulut sambal Tu sedap betullll 😀😀😀
Glad that you both are safe as well as the people around you. Humbled by the calmness of you both in handling the shocking situation….very zen! You guys teach us a lot just by your peaceful behaviour. But I had to laugh when Jimmy said in a very exasperated voice “…who checks the window!” That is so so true! I would say the same. You guys are a cool couple! Stay safe. Your kindness begets more kindness….you guys proved it! Coz ‘selalu boss belanja”!
Because nothing comes out from getting panicky. It won't bring the glass back to its original state, it won't change the fact that the rental company will charge them for the replacement, it just won't change anything. So why add more minus points to the situation, when you can add some plus points instead
It is common in Malaysia for car glass broken suddenly, Malaysia weather is hot so next time open the side glass window a little to enable the air exit when you close the door or the back door..
Due to high temperature and compressed hot air in the car compared to the outside, this will easily happen again. There are a lot of this incident happen around Malaysia especially when they park at the open space area at noon. Tip, always lower down just a bit of the window (Driver's side and passenger's side) to allow hot air to sip out and not creating pressure inside the car.
Bersih nye kedai laksa tu... kl kedai bersih, makan apa pun auto jd sedap...moga menjadi contoh kpd peniaga lain... bersih kat luar dan dalam ( area dapur)...👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Your experience teaches me to check the windscreen for a rented car! I rented the same car as yours when I was in Penang. I rented it for a whole week. Fortunately, all was well.
Congratulations on being cool Jimmy. You are very mature. I know how you feel when bad things like this happen it can ruin our mood. But you stay focus on your video. I'm so proud of you.
The crack was probably there already and it was as the tipping point when you closed the door. Luckily, it didn't happen while you were driving. It's ok as long as you are safe.
As a Malay person (not Malaysian).since i am from Singapore who LOVES Japanese food and Malaysian food ( of course), i am so excited to watch you both because there are elements in both cuisine that makes it easy for either culture to appreciate each others' food!
Was worried when I saw the thumbnail, thank god no one was hurt ! Am glad both of you could put this bad incident aside and fully enjoyed the food without letting it affect your appetites 😍😍
since u guys came to kedah, have a go at different kind of laksa, if u found a signage of Laksa kebok, try having it. some stalls even show how laksa was made at the stall- it fascinating to look at. one more recommendation would be roti sarang burung which originate from the north (i could be wrong but i rarely saw it elsewhere except in kedah)and roti telur goyang- this two can be found in local malay roti canai stall. Also try eating rice with ikan PEKASAM if u happen to come across it. it open ur appetited tremendously while having it. this recommendations are extremely rare on most part of malaysia except kedah. have a go.
For safety, please don't leave your bag or any valuable or look like valuable item inside your car, not even coins on your seat, theft might break-into your car by breaking your car's window, and steal it. Hide it under your car seat or inside car bonnet if have to. Anything that is visually can be seen tru the car's window is at risk. Please be extra careful and be alert all the time. I hope you rent the car from a valid 'Rent Car' Company. Get some advices directly from your trusted friends in Malaysia. Just worried both of you, especially when driving on Malaysia's road.
happy to heard all the problems was solved.. even though both of you was shock and sad but its also a kind of sweet memories during in kedah...the lady boss waas kindness and pretty.
So glad that Jimmy has a partner who is very open to trying road side stalls in Malaysia. Wish my partner was just as open minded to trying many different types of Asian food. Very difficult to change my partner's thinking to trying different food. So sad to hear about the unfortunate incident about your car. Hopefully you can forget about it and hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. So glad that to see such warm and kind Malaysians. Unfortunately, I met a gang of bad Malaysians in my childhood and that incident gave me a big scare and didn't dare to visit Malaysia again.

Hey Jimmy and Ichang. The back windscreen should not break that easy - it should have cracked and not break like a glass. This might due to improper installation ( maybe it was replaced before or not long before you guys rented it ) Plus I slammed my boot/ trunk most of the time and that didnt happen. My car is almost 9 years old and temperature in Malaysia is always hot outside and cold inside the car but this never happens. In Perak we call it as Pulut Serunding Kelapa. Both take care ya. Just dont travel during these dates 18-20 Nov 2022. People will be going out for vote general election and heavy traffic is expected at all places. Til then, hope u guys enjoy staying in Malaysia!
Go ahead and travel on those dates. But you don't have to travel too far. Just around your area and a little bit further, just to witness how the election is held in the country. That can be a good content for you guys. Start with seeing how the early risers (read: the uncles and aunties 😂 hahah!) go to queue very early to cast their votes, then you adjourn to a nice local eatery for a very nice local breakfast. After that you proceed to a different area to witness how the younger voters now have gotten out of bed and starting to cast their votes too. Then you can end the video with who win the 2-3 different areas you covered earlier
there are 2 laksa outlets side by side there,,,Din's and Zakaria's ,,they are siblings,..so their laksas are made of similar recipe and ingredients (recipe possibly inherited from their mother).,, i personally like laksa from Zakaria's... always more crowded in zakaria's store..,, best to eat with hard boiled egg ,,
Oh my god,Malaysians are so kind they donate some money to you to pay for the incident of rm370🥺🥺 And, I also saw some Indonesians donate some too! The fact that we both country are neighbours, also so kind with each other too❤️ Hope you both have a nice and safe travelling😍
The pulut sambal nyoq ikan is one of the best northern local kuih I have ever tasted! I fell in love with it after having it for the first when I moved north 5 years ago! Savoury spicy dry sambal paired with Q Q steamed glutinous rice is heaven!
It is nice to drive from Singapore to Penang and up to Hatyai Thailand,. Malaysia is a beautiful and safe country. Try not to get everything cheapest such as the rental of cars. We know Axia and Kancil are the cheapest cars in Malaysia and you guys should rent a small Japanese car and I know from Malaysian relatives that a new Axia absorption spring, auto windows, other parts will give problems after 2 years of usage. Also, ask for the terms and conditions of the car rental agency should they cover all the cost including an accident and theft. (From Singapore)
Glad that both of you are okay.I think it may be because of the weather too. As many people here said, always let a small gap at your window to let the hot air out. Btw,the yellow thing which you asked at the beginning of the video, she mentioned it as Sambal Nyiok.Nyiok means coconut, usually called as Nyiok by the Northern states. Hope this helps Oh one more, its okay if you dont understand their reply in Malay ,just said that you are Japanese, they can talk to you in English
Yeah.. Make sure you left a little gap on the window before you lock the door as Malaysia's weather is quite hot sometimes. Let out the hot air inside the car first before you switch on your aircond.
iChang got it right about Kedah rice when I was studying in Kedah you can feel the freshness of the rice compare to other rice sell around Malaysia. That sambal is what we called serunding.
On the safe side the accident doesn't involved others party..in Malaysia bcz it too hot we usually let a little gap at window.. never shut it fully..let the hot air circulate out..
Waahhhh!!!.. welcome to my hometown... Kedah... I went to the laksa shop last tuesday but it was closed. Pulut is not plant in kedah, it was imported From thailand. And the sambal is actually called "serunding ikan".... There are so many delicious food in near by the laksa shop. "gulai ikan temenung haji jamil" we got "nasi royal" which is nasi kandar with kedah style, koey teow iman and "nasi daging hampar"... And a lot more... Please do visit kedah again and enjoy our style of food
7:50 Wow!!!!! you couples are so cool !!!!, i've watch your video from the start and im surprised, you guys still can eat SPICY food like NOTHING . For my case i cannot eat spicy food even thought im Malaysian Citizen. I got stomach ache and start to get headache and so more when i eat malaysia spicy cuisine. I gonna give thumbs up to you guys.
If you go further down the road right to the jetty to Langkawi, you'll find another version of laksa that is similar to normal laksa. This is also Laksa Kedah where the gravy is thicker and no shreded coconut along it. You'll also find Kedah version of Laksam which is spicier.
It is the vacuum that causes the glass to be broken, not necessarily rear glass in some cases front glass.. so it is lucky that the rear glass is broken because at least you still can drive if it is the front glass you may need to call the towing to tow to the nearby workshop .. additional cost for towing
Alor Setar is my wife's hometown. The food is equally great just like anywhere else and since it is underrated compared to Penang, no one knows unless you mingle with the locals.
Always check dashboard every switch button.sometimes we will accidentally press wrong..i think the reason rear windscreen broke is the heater button is on...when plus outside weather is hot..when close the door give pressure that broke the glass..beware every switch in your car..
Very unforgettable driving experience in Malaysia for iChang and Jimmy 😆 First time drive around Penang which is "certified" toughest place to drive in Malaysia 😂 Second time drive interstate to Kedah and rear windshield shattered 残念でしたね But please don't let the broken windshield bog you down Jimmy and iChang, I have been driving for more than 20 years and never had my rear windshield broken, so it was just an unfortunate event, but also an interesting experience I'd say 😁 I'm not sure if you are still in Japan or back in Malaysia already, but looking forward to all your future videos 😊
I think you both should meet Kouji Jepun, he also famous Japanese youtuber live in Malaysia, I always watch the videos from your channel and Kouji, and as usual, Japanese are very kind and nice people 👍
In Malaysia, temperature difference inside the car and outside can go up quickly. When you park car, make sure you opened up the window to let the hot air to escape and equalise the pressure. Otherwise, cracked glass windscreen or windows can happened easily.
Sambal terms not only chilli, it can be something with coconut filling especially for kuih... In Kelantan there are a few kuih with coconut stuff & they mix with other ingrediants...for example kuih koleh sambal nyor (kelapa), nasi kapit/ pulut sambal kelantan etc 😁
Most important of all, both of you are safe. You were not in the car and you were not driving when it happened. Quite likely a small sharp stone hit the rear windscreen already, leaving a small crack. When you closed the rear door, the force then shattered the glass. I was shocked, too. But I'm also shocked you had to pay for damages. Please read the car rental terms and conditions and see whether borrower is the one who has to pay.
3:16. The yellow stuff for the Kedah laksa is called "sambai nyoq" in Kedah dialect but "sambal nyiur" in standard Malay. Nyoq (Kedah) and Nyiur (Malaysia) means coconut, the more frequent usage for coconut in Malaysia is "kelapa" but up north, "nyiur" but pronounced as "nyoq" according to northern accent) is more frequently used. Pulut Sambai or Pulut Sambal is glutinous rice with sambai nyoq..I am originally from Alor Setar now residing in Seri Kembangan, Selangor..
Kelantan pon ada gak pulut sambal nyor, koleh sambal nyor...pendek kata kuih2 yg guna nyor ni kita gunakan perkataan 'Sambal Nyor' mungkin diorang confuse duk ingt sambal tu sambal cili yg makan dengan nasi ja 🤣
re: coconut in Malaysia is "kelapa" but up north, "nyiur" but pronounced as "nyoq" according to northern accent) Kedah people always try to achieve Quality and Quantity. So they prefer to use Q which is just in front of R... nyoQ instead of nyioR, keluaQ instead of keluaR, teloQ instead of teluR. Hehehehhh...

good food, friendly BOSS and CLEAN KITCHEN .... may their business grow well
It is nice to drive from Singapore to Penang and up to Hatyai Thailand,.
Hope this helps
Oh one more, its okay if you dont understand their reply in Malay ,just said that you are Japanese, they can talk to you in English
Wahhh. Ichang finally arrived Kedah. Welcome to kedah. Next time, u should try koteow iman and nasi royale okeyy.
I love pulut whole family love pulut...putih Or kuning...that lady kinda cool
7:50 Wow!!!!! you couples are so cool !!!!, i've watch your video from the start and im surprised, you guys still can eat SPICY food like NOTHING . For my case i cannot eat spicy food even thought im Malaysian Citizen. I got stomach ache and start to get headache and so more when i eat malaysia spicy cuisine. I gonna give thumbs up to you guys.
TH-camr Jepun yg paling saya suka..Ichang & Jimmy..🥰
If you go further down the road right to the jetty to Langkawi, you'll find another version of laksa that is similar to normal laksa. This is also Laksa Kedah where the gravy is thicker and no shreded coconut along it. You'll also find Kedah version of Laksam which is spicier.
Your videos always made me laugh ....things happen...it's nice you guys are always positive...great value in life ..keep it up
Really appreciate you guys on showing us all your adventures I pray that both have a pleasant drive around in Malaysia 🌷🌷🌷
Welcome to kedah..
Im from kedah.. Stay in kedah.. Pulut sambal wow.. Pls eat more.. Hihi
Like some already mentioned, the glass is probably already cracked.. it be like that. Thankfully you're both are ok. Safe travels!
Yes exactly like did not do maintanence `
It is the vacuum that causes the glass to be broken, not necessarily rear glass in some cases front glass.. so it is lucky that the rear glass is broken because at least you still can drive if it is the front glass you may need to call the towing to tow to the nearby workshop .. additional cost for towing
always support you both and ur channel . take care Jimmy and iChang 🙂
Alor Setar is my wife's hometown. The food is equally great just like anywhere else and since it is underrated compared to Penang, no one knows unless you mingle with the locals.
Hi ichang, I am so happy you guys enjoy Malaysia food so much. Hopefully it is not a robbery case in your incident. Please stay safe! どうか無事でいてください!
Always check dashboard every switch button.sometimes we will accidentally press wrong..i think the reason rear windscreen broke is the heater button is on...when plus outside weather is hot..when close the door give pressure that broke the glass..beware every switch in your car..
😮😮😮
So sorry for what happened Jimmy & Ichang.. Keep safe on malaysian road ok..
Anyway the pulut sambal looks really yummy 😋!
I love when see both of U can describe the details of every single food.. thanks dear
Very unforgettable driving experience in Malaysia for iChang and Jimmy 😆
First time drive around Penang which is "certified" toughest place to drive in Malaysia 😂
Second time drive interstate to Kedah and rear windshield shattered 残念でしたね
But please don't let the broken windshield bog you down Jimmy and iChang, I have been driving for more than 20 years and never had my rear windshield broken, so it was just an unfortunate event, but also an interesting experience I'd say 😁
I'm not sure if you are still in Japan or back in Malaysia already, but looking forward to all your future videos 😊
I think you both should meet Kouji Jepun, he also famous Japanese youtuber live in Malaysia, I always watch the videos from your channel and Kouji, and as usual, Japanese are very kind and nice people 👍
Broken car can be fixed. As long as you both are safe is good enough. Take care ...
How bout broken heart?can be fix or not
@@nexuspluz9797 wrong server bro
@@nexuspluz9797 can can!👍🏻
Very true! Thank you ☺️
@@nexuspluz9797 the right person and time will fix it bro 😉
In Malaysia, temperature difference inside the car and outside can go up quickly. When you park car, make sure you opened up the window to let the hot air to escape and equalise the pressure. Otherwise, cracked glass windscreen or windows can happened easily.
Sambal terms not only chilli, it can be something with coconut filling especially for kuih... In Kelantan there are a few kuih with coconut stuff & they mix with other ingrediants...for example kuih koleh sambal nyor (kelapa), nasi kapit/ pulut sambal kelantan etc 😁
I love it that u two enjoy pulut sambal as much as i did.. subarashi reaction from u guys. I am laughing in happiness
I think it will depend on whether Jimmy ticked the box for full insurance on the vehicle.
org malaysia mmg prihatin..dont worry..korg baik..korg jujur..sb 2 org tlg..👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Pulut Sambai or Pulut Sambal is glutinous rice with sambai nyoq..I am originally from Alor Setar now residing in Seri Kembangan, Selangor..
if kelantan nyor.... its means kelapa
Biar dia paham bahasa Malaysia dulu 😅
Kelantan pon ada gak pulut sambal nyor, koleh sambal nyor...pendek kata kuih2 yg guna nyor ni kita gunakan perkataan 'Sambal Nyor' mungkin diorang confuse duk ingt sambal tu sambal cili yg makan dengan nasi ja 🤣
Tapi aku tengok pulut sambal tu macam pulut kukuih dengan serondeng ikan...
re: coconut in Malaysia is "kelapa" but up north, "nyiur" but pronounced as "nyoq" according to northern accent)
Kedah people always try to achieve Quality and Quantity. So they prefer to use Q which is just in front of R... nyoQ instead of nyioR, keluaQ instead of keluaR, teloQ instead of teluR. Hehehehhh...
Thank you for the video! Thank you for sharing the lessons on the rear glass!
Oh no. How unfortunate. Glad that u still enjoy your meal. Dont let it discourage u guys. Take care and stay safe!
U really came to my place..telok kechai..u should go to apom balik wak...the famous apom balik at Kuala kedah
