Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular is the Halloween fireworks show held during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It is a fantastic show, but it's best to be closer to Cinderella Castle for a view of the giant Jack Skellington puppet! We were in the front row center to see him and the projections on the castle. This is the full show and features Jack at the beginning and end.

Because the projection part was just full of cheese. lol. But I understand it's more for the kids. Im just here for Nightmare before Christmas.

I'm impressed with the jack marionette, it was so lively and breathtaking to see.
Right? It's clearly a puppet, but the way the face moves completely distracts you from that and the puppeteer!

@@undyne1 No worries😉 They are similar except a marionette is controlled by strings with bendable limbs to give it more life like movements. Most of the time they're also made of wood. For instance Pinocchio would be considered a marionette not a puppet because of how he is portrayed as being constructed. So both are similar but with very distinct differences 😊
Silvermoon The main difference between a puppet and marionette is that the puppet is mostly an inanimate object or representational figure animated that’s controlled by an entertainer while the marionette is a puppet that’s controlled by an individual from above or below by using wires or strings connected to the marionette to control the limbs or the movement of body parts. It’s really cool how Disney displayed Jack Skellington in this show, feels very similar to the Coco live show where they used Miguel as a marionette in Disneyland California Adventures.
Disney never dissapoints the magic is so real and that Jack puppet is so incredible

Well 2D animation is something they do for Disney Parks now
While the sound track I fell isn't as great as previous years, and it didn't seem to feature as much fire works, but I simply adore the presentation. The projections on the castle was amazing, and a great way to tell a story. And I can't describe how fantastical that Jack Skelington puppet is.
Of all the event Disney has at their parks, Halloween time seems to be my favorite. And this show was wonderful. :3
Not as grand as HalloWishes and not as whimsical as before.
The projections on the castle are always grand and it's a good show just lacking some of the magic. I do love the Halloween decorations plus Fall equals a cooldown.
I wish they took the soundtrack of Hallowishes and just made projections of that

The Marionette for Jack is Absolutely Boggling!
Don't you mean "Boogoling?"
He's actually not a marionette. Look close in certain shots and you can see the puppeteer behind him. He is cleverly hidden in all black while Jack is lit up with black lights to focus our attention on Jack. It's a very clever and well executed puppet for sure.

i am in LOVE with the bit with the skeletons, the aesthetics of the castle when it’s projected to look like it’s made of bones are so stunning, i could watch this over & over.

finally someone got a close up of jack! I wanted to see how accurate he is.
You can tell Imagineering put a lot of love into this one 😍 it payed off, this is the most visually stunning show yet in my opinion. The projection mapping is seamless, the story flows smoothly, the animations are amazing, the fireworks are amazing, and Jack's presence on stage is larger than life...which is fitting for him 😂

I love the projections on the castle, they make it look like an entirely different haunted building, even have the building move with the skeletons. Oh, this is all so amazing!
I met Chris Sarandon this year along with Ken Page and my little Disney Halloween heart melted. It was awesome to meet them and they were super nice. :)

This show is simply SPECTACULAR! The Jack Skellington puppet is amazing, the projected images are colorful and sharp. The music is pure Disney with a macabre twist and the fireworks filled the skies. My jaw dropped to the floor watching this. Magic Kingdom doing what they do better than any Disney Park. Bravo!

Don't know about hades but ursula was pretty obvious that it wasn't her real voice.
i’m very sure that that isn’t the original ursula but i know Hades’ voice actor loved the role enough that he always reprises his role (like in the hercules tv show, the kingdom hearts video games, virtually everything hades is in) so i’m pretty sure it’s him
James Woods' voice had aged, but it's still him.
That’s definitely still James Woods but I don’t know about Pat Carroll. She is 92 by now.

But I couldn't help but notice Ursula and Minnie have new voices...I wonder if the audio for this was recorded after Russi's passing.
This was recorded after Russi's passing with Kaitlyn Robrock voicing Minnie here, Unsuprisingly, she is now the new voice of Minnie.
This is how the Disney jack skellington costume so at least try to look like. It’s very difficult, but after seeing Ernesto De La Cruz for Disney world I’m convinced they can make Jack look way better.

The nightmare before Christmas is my favorite film it has done so much for me and I was so happy with how it turned it. I definitely was not disappointed. The jack skeleton puppet is beautiful and fits him perfectly great work! 🥺

The projections on the castle are INSANE! I’ve never been to Disney during the Halloween season but it’s on my list of things to do. The team at Disney are so incredible!

This may very well be the coolest thing I've seen.
The projection is breathtaking, but man, Hallowishes soundtrack was something else
