In this video I will give a LAY-Z-SPA Control Panel Overview.
I will take you through all the LAY-Z-SPA Operating Instructions and also how to set the timer on the LAY-Z-SPA keypad. To be honest I rarely use the LAY-Z-SPA Timer function as I just set it up how I want it a few hours before I get in it.

Hi. I've decided (with your permission) that you will be my go-to guy in connection with my LayZ Spa.
Thinking ahead, should I decide to use the jacuzzi outdoors this winter, would that be a bad idea? Do you have any suggestions for ptotecting the plastic body from the cold; for example, by applying a coat of silicon spray?
@@robertmacdonald5198 We pack ours away in the Winter only because I just prefer using it when it’s warmer and would cost much more to keep it hot. But if you did decide to use it then I recommend this

Just bought one and set it up letting it heat now should be ready by tomorrow morning.
By the time you read this I expect you will be in your LAY Z SPA! Enjoy. Good idea to make anyone shower before getting in, helps keep water cleaner for longer. 😎
question does the pump have to be on 24/7? once my desired temperature is reached, I close the heat but do I keep the pump on or can I turn it off? let's say if I don't use it for 1 day or 2, does the pump have to stay on?
What I do is have heating and filter pump on in the day, if it gets up to temperature then turn off heat and keep filter pump running. Hello, in order for it to heat up to the maximum, do I have to leave the cover on top?
Yes it will heat up much quicker with the cover on. 40c is very very hot we find that a bit unbearable makes you fall asleep! 38C seems to be perfect on a chilly day. If it’s a hot summers day then 35c seems perfect. Enjoy your LAY-Z-SPA

I turn ours off overnight as it does make a humming noise and if you did happen to get an E02 error it would beep all night! We’ve got a thermal cover on it
Hey mate great videos,if im not using it for a few days or even a week and have it turned off what do i do about keeping the water clean.Do i turn it on for a few hours every few days with the filters running
Personally even if I’m not using it I keep it running in the day just to keep water filtration system running and the water moving. Maybe set temp lower but then turn it up before you plan to use it.

Yes no problem it’s all waterproof. Personally I wouldn’t go in the Spa in the rain as rain is dirty and your Spa will get dirt in it, but ok if you have a Pergola or something.

Very helpful thanks! At one point in the video I see the massage bubbles speed is lesser, how do you turn the bubble speed down? Mine is too strong to use. Have wifi enabled keypad. Thanks!
Unfortunately you cannot control the intensity of the bubbles, they are either on or off. Shame as I agree they are very strong, be nice to have a more calming bubble setting.
@@LurgsHowToGuides I read somewhere that if you have the wifi enabled pump, if you switch on the bubbles then switch it off and on again very quickly, that the bubbles should come on at half speed but I havnt been able to do this .

how often and long should i have the filter button going on the spa?
You can leave it on permanently if you want to, it only uses 50w of power and helps keep the water cleaner

I leave ours on in the day then switch it off overnight. It does hum and also if it got an E02 it would beep all night. We’ve got the thermal cover so it stays warm
Great video! I have a question tho.. is the filter constantly running automatically when spa is switched on? Not sure if my filter is on as theres no button for it?
You can have just filter on (bottom right button) with no heating. Or if you have Heating on (bottom left button) the filter is automatically on

I turn it off at night usually just in case of an E02 error coz then it starts beeping. Then fire it up in the morning. Getting a thermal cover soon to help cut costs and keep it warm overnight
Hi, I have a problem, wondering if you've come across it ? We left the pump running without the heat but I've gone out to check it and pump still running but nothing working on keypad !!
I've tried resetting but no joy, any suggestions would be appreciated.

How odd. You’ve reset it from the main controller by the plug?
Not heard of that before.
There is also a tiny reset button on the side of the actual Unit which you hold on for a few seconds to reset. But really a power off should do the trick. Hope you can get it sorted.

Just to point out the obvious, assume you are unlocking the keypad first on the padlock button? I'm sure you have. Sounds like a faulty keypad. Hope you can get it sorted soon.
Can you leave the power (green button) on 24/7? Does it only use power when you are using the filter system or the heat system?
Yes you can leave it all on 24/7. But we tend to turn it off overnight just in case you get an E02 error and it will beep all night. Plus it does hum so if neighbours are close they may hear it. I just put the heating and filter system on each morning.
One more question,when blowing it up do you judge for yourself when its got enough air in it or does it cut out.

I just squeeze it and judge for myself. You can’t overfill it with air due to the holes on the pump hose. As soon as it’s firm I stop. Glad my video helps 12,000 odd miles away.😎

I’ve just turned up the heat to have ready for tomorrow. I’ve rented it. I turned it up at 3 o’clock but the water is still cold. What am I doing wrong?
It takes a good 10hours to heat up from mains cold water. If you put your hand by the heater is it pumping out hot water?
Hey mate i just got in the spa for only the third time and when i put the jets on i was getting foam,the water is still clean but i think i may have overdone it with the chlorine tablets.Because the ones i bought were small tablets i was putting 2 in and probably released them too quick,would my stuff up have caused this.Thanks mate
You do get lots of foam when the bubbles are on. Maybe lower chlorine levels for a bit.

Hey mate I'm now turning my spa off overnight but putting just the filter on through the day,I had turned it off at the main and had to press the reset button to turn it on.Is it better to just turn it off at the pump,I had just switched the filter off but the pumps green light was still on so do I turn that off
Leave it powered on at plug. On keypad just turn off heating \ filter and leave it like that. Keypad will lock down after 5 mins. Then next morning just unlock the keypad

Depends on lots of things, outside temperature, whether you have a thermal cover and ground mat etc. I tend to turn ours off at night just in case it gets an Error code as then it starts bleeping!

Well personally I turn it off overnight as it does hum. Then I just turn it back on in the morning when I make a cup of tea.
While I'm heating the spa do I have to keep unlocking every 5mins.
No it only locks the keypad buttons, all functions are still running as they were

I don’t think the Santorini model has wifi. It doesn’t mention wifi on their website

Not that I’m aware of. I agree as it locks after only 5 minutes which is a very small amount of time!
I plan on only using my spa for onl 3 days a week so I'm leaving it on continuously, can I give the filter a rest and still leave the heat on over night and on the other 4 days can I have no heat and just the filter
If heat is on then the filter is on as well. Personally I keep mine on all day then turn it off overnight.
But by turning it off overnight it cost more to heat it up again everyday,I read that it's cheaper to just leave it on.

Yeah I've ordered the thermal cover,it's a must have.As for the hum it's very quiet so until I get an error code I'll leave it on.See what my next power bill will be😬
How long does it take your spa to heat up to 38 degrees with a thermal cover?
When you set the timers does the spa shut off it's self
Once timer activates it will turn on heating and filter to what you set, nice timer ends it will turn off heating and filter, keypad will still be on and can be unlocked
I can’t feel the air coming out of my chemconnect. What should I do?
Only warm water will come out of the ChemConnect, no air
Thanks for your videos as the manual is not helpful at all, regarding the timer duration/start up, do you just leave the power button on the control panel off but leave the unit powered from the power cable and it will automatically start-up or I need to leave the power button on green for it to start with the parameters set.

After you've set it then just leave it as it is. The keypad will auto lock but the timer should start as per your settings.
@@LurgsHowToGuides Thanks for reply I need to check your video again but if I recall when you set the timer the heater and filter system was still on although you set it to come on in 6hrs time? Is like if I set it to come on in 10hrs time I need the heater and filter to be off till then?
Not at home at the moment but according to the manual once the Timer is set it will stop the current heating\filtrations and only activate when the Timer kicks in.
@@LurgsHowToGuides I found another video looks like he manually turned off the heating and filter and just left the power switch On till the keypad locked itself. But looks like the green power light needs to stay on. Would have been great if u just left the unit powered ant it powered itself on and start the timer program, like it needs to stay on for 6hrs doing nothing till the program starts 🤔🤔 I will test it for a short time and see what happens.

Are you sure it’s not just locked after 5 mins? Press unlock button and keep it pressed
I bought the starter kit to get all the chemicals balanced and I'm finding it never-ending to get it right and I'm starting to think it's just a waste of money buying these products,can I just use the chlorine tablets and be done with it
