Definitely one of Reaper's finest features the rendering engine. I also use the time selection for rendering masters and also automate the master volume envelope for tidy starts and endings. Its really powerful for rendering 100s -1000s of samples by items. So for instance I have a couple old keyboards with around 10,000 pcm samples (a lot of percussion and drum hits) In my haphazard ways I have been able to make a midi template to play them, split them and export hundreds into various folders. Easier and quicker than I thought possible If they are simple one shot hits about the same length, you can apply an automation item template ie volume, attack, decay, whatever to the whole lot. I'd like to sample my old upright piano which is out of tune, in a similar fashion, but still trying to come up with a plan. Its a lot of experimenting at this point. I like using the free Sitala to put my chains of samples into for the time being. Its simple and light weight on my computer's cpu
Yea I totally agree.... It's the best export I have ever used ... Like I said in the video I have used a lot of DAWs....😂.. I still haven't shown everything this export can do ... Like you said you can even do chops of sounds and export it to a folder and have them for later use .. such a powerful feature that I dont see many talking about ... Thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾
Most informative video! There are a lot of time savers in this video! Also, thanks for the Smash Kit. I also switched to the Peace theme after watching your video on themes. I like Reaper Tips, but it's a little too dark for my poor eyesight. Once again, thanks.
Great video! Thanks. Btw dither is needed only when you render at a different bit depth e.g. tracks are 24bits and output is 16bits. There is yet another kind of rendering option that may by VERY useful if you do, for example, audiobooks and it is file -> Batch file/Item converter. This one streamlined my workflow and it's worth to check it.
Thanks for the comment.... I have never been able to hear the difference if I use dither or not... I understand why they say it but don't really hear why from the bounce... Yea the batch file converter I use when making drum kits or if I want to downgrade a sample... I showed it in one of my videos when I was making a beat... Glad you enjoyed the video...😀🙏🏾
It's not possible to render a looped output is it? For example, if I want the render an output that loops 3 times, I am doing it manually every time, copying and pasting the parts, then rendering, then pressing undo to undo the copies. Seems like a bad work flow.
I have never heard anything like this being used ... How would that work..🤔 you got me with this I didn't see a need to do a loop render... You can create a different tab and record from one tab to another but the setup would take you longer to do than to just duplicate... Your way is probably the best way currently...🤔
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually there is not another YT Vid that explains the Reaper Rendering Process like this. On every Point !!! Thank You !!!
Thanks for watching... I'm glad you got something out of the video... Let me know if you have questions...😀🙏🏾
This is literally my favorite Reaper channel, tysm for all of these amazing videos
Thank you for watching...😀🙏🏾

There is no best daw..don’t be such a fanboy, just enjoy it once you “have to set everything up” after you get it.
My apologies. I was talking about the Rendering options. (the export function )@@Gang-25j

I love that theme - it's my new default! (Nice track by the way! I also work in the field of music sync!😀)
That's what's up... How long have you been doing sync?
man... thank you.
