- In one of our last videos about Bali we explore the up and coming area of Canggu. This town in Bali has become more and more famous ove the last couple of years, quickly becoming one of the most famous spots for tourists and digital nomads to stay at during their visit to Bali.

Accommodation recommendations? ⛺️

I have been here for over 30years and have watched this happen this thing repeat it's self .
Kuta was the first than Legian second than it went backwards to Seminyak than back to Kuta n Legian which melted into one .
Ganggu is now the in place but the infursructure can't keep up like the others it's become overcrowded overpriced and attracts more crime targeting the tourist cuz they have the money it will burn out and it will move on to the next place along the coast line it's started already the rice fields are being sold off and replaced with bars and restaurants .
In reality Bali is not a big island it's at its peak now of what it can handle .
In all the years I have been here I've never seen Bali so clean no traffic very peaceful easy living very little crime when covid shut the island down .
The poor locals have lost control of there own island it's been said a million times unless the locals have more of a voice and the power to control the development Bali is going to self destruct.
The best thing that could happen and save Bali is another airport on the other side of the island opening opertunity for the economy there and spread the masses out giving the island room to breathe.
Find a governor with the foresight,vision and pure love for his people n island
yeah i agree. the road congestion is real bad. a 2nd airport is an excellent idea.. The only thing different from Canggu to all the other phenomenons in the past.. Most people in canggu live there semi-permanently. and they're not travellers. Most of them have full time jobs and regular disposable income.. Therefore the type services required by this demographic is different.. So I'm quite hopeful that it'll turn out different.

Great analysis. The govnor owes his position and allegiance to the Java elites Jakarta, which takes so much out of Bali putting in little back in needed infrastructure.
@@gvyong every Govenor elected comes in with grand plans untill he finds out who really is in charge .
And the royal families of Bali should hold their heads in shame .
They stay silent while their island and real Balinese who get nothing from tourism..
The hotel lobby has to much power in Bali.
Bali has thousands living in complete poverty charities are doing the best they can but get little from the elite .
With the millions n millions coming into Bali their should not be so many living like animals begging for scraps
@@benficaM8888 Indonesia pay rates have not gone up with inflation for years .
3 times the president has degreed a national pay rise and 3 times it's been ignored by employers big n small
I have heard that the local transport mafia does not allow Grab and Gojek to operate in Changgu. Is that true?
We didńt have any issues. Grab & Gojek are by far the most popular mode of transportation!

Horrible traffic, no sidewalks, sewage smell everywhere and one of the most awful beaches/sea I’ve ever seen. But yeah…there is the Flynn beach bar to get some nice selfies lol. Few “influencers” are promoting the place and all the sheeps follow.

Therefore, the most appropriate word to use is Affordable!
