Nice setup. The thing I like about that over a draw system is that if you need the full cargo space for any reason, it's easily removable. And 180 for your storage isn't bad, I was just in a discussion where guys are spending 300-plus for a pelican rifle case to mount to the roof to hold a couple tow strap, shackles, and a shovel LOL.
I think the boxes are great. I use the large roller for our kitchen, the medium as a pantry and the small one for odds and ends. All stack nicely in the 4runner.
stick with the storage boxes. drawer systems are really cool, but then you are stuck with them and all that extra weight. If you want security, you have plenty of bolt anchor spots on the trunk floor you could run a cable to a sturdy box, like a Roam Adventure box, and nobody could yank it out real easy. I'm sure there are even better ideas than that for securing stuff. That's my plan with my 100 Land Cruiser. Roam Adventure boxes, or Overland Boxes, and I'll figure out how to secure them down so they don't walk off.
Don't bother downgrading to draws! Draw systems are heavy, space wasting and permanent! I got rid of my draws and fridge slide, now have removable boxes like you. Saved me over 200lb just like that! It's far superior setup than a draw system.
Dang! And I was just getting ready to start workin on drawers! I probably still will. I’ll take the hit on weight for the convenience of the organization. Did you like it otherwise?
@@AdventureTEQ Yes and no, the draws were okay and looked very neat but didn't suit us in most situations. Being able to remove the boxes completely are an obvious advantage for everyday use. But to our surprise we also found it works better for us while out camping. We like the ability to take the boxes out and into our camp ect. Each to their own I guess.
Cool stuff! My wife and I live just a few miles from Causey over in Eden, Utah. Beautiful place.
I hope to one day live up in the valley! ASAP! 🙌🏻
I have a similar setup that you have. 1 case for food, 1 for recovery gear, and another for camping gear and toiletries.
Nice! It's great also that any of these can be strapped to the roof rack when more interior space is needed.

LOL. Is that what all the Tacoma Bro’s are carting around on their uber cool Prinsu racks?
@@AdventureTEQ LMAO, nailed it!

Fix a flat eats tires from the inside out. Fact.
I’ll take your word for it. It’s an emergency option to have on board any truck, in a temporary circumstance. 👍🏻
Bad Arrrss Kit bro-duder...
Thanks man. I mean it'll work for now.
