For sure mate, I hope that works out. The only recommendation I would have is make the cut outs smaller than the item to hold them tight and you may have to make them just a little deeper, again to make sure they don't fall out. Let us know if you get it to work though! Cheers, Nathan.
Excellent idea Nathan. With 3 kids under the age of 5 and one being an infant, we use the vacant side to store a few nappies, a packet of wet wipes and some nappy rash cream and sunscreen. Always accessible in a pinch, and we then use the tailgate as a changing table. Works great. No more reaching for a nappy bag under all the other luggage etc.
Yeah, I hear you mate! We did the same up until recently. Now our youngest is finally coming out of that stage it was time to make some improvements! But how good are the tailgates for a change table!! Cheers, Nathan.
@@trevorb9221 No problems mate. I hope that video can help you out. I only released it the day before this video, so it might be a little harder to find. Cheers, Nathan.
Great idea! Looks like to get the ARB inflator to fit the lid depresses the spring loaded lever. Have you had any issues with that long term? Wonder if it will damage the spring on the ARB inflator?
Hey mate, yes there is just the smallest of pressure placed on the ARB compressor adaptor. Given this this movement is made by design I'm hoping this won't cause any issues. Given the way in which the value works, it shouldn't (in theory) cause any long term damage. I've been using for a few months now with no issue. As always, I would report back if this starts to cause an issue 👍 Cheers, Nathan.
Hey mate, these were supplied by Custom Installations when the drawers were built. I am releasing a in depth video into the rear cargo setup of the Landcruiser this Thursday. Saying that, these panels are just 3mm acrylic could easily but cut with a jigsaw too. Cheers, Nathan.
Great stuff Nathan. I believe a similar thing can be installed in the Hilux tailgate. The beauty of having a fold down tailgate I guess which also doubles as an impromptu seat. Hats off to you also for even bothering to reply to that rockbiter who obviously takes himself way too seriously. Appreciate that you reply to every comment on your channel
For sure mate, I'm sure this is also possible with Hilux's and other tailgate type 4WD's. Haha yeah, the joys of YouTubing. Doesn't phase me to much, I'm sure he is happy with his perfect setup 😂 Thanks mate, Nathan.
All good, so I actually don't carry a sat phone. However I always carry a portable PLB, whether in the car on the trails on my dirt bike. At least then I have a backup device in the worst case scenario! Saying this, on the occasions where I go very remote for a while at a time, I do hire a sat phone, just for the period I need it. This doesn't cost a whole lot (and normally split between a few people) and then just return it at the end. This seems to be working for now 👍
Yeah, but it's not just any old foam. You really need that layered foam to easily pick the correct depth for the items you're putting in there. Cheers.
Thanks mate. I guess this is the disadvantage for me living in regional area's without access to big stores. Hopefully other's here will see this. Cheers, Nathan.
I love it when I see something new...so obvious and yet you're the first I've seen to do it. Well done. I'm off to tinker with my cruiser now...👍
Awesome, cheers mate. This is a such a simple idea, yet works so well 👍
I reckon I could make this work in my 150, even though it would be vertical. Another great video mate. 👍

Some of the best ideas are the simplest. Another top notch vid, Nathan.
Thanks Jim! I agree, it's not all about the big ticket items and complex designs.
Cheers.
Hi Nathan, thanks for your videos. Can you please let me know the make of your spare wheel carrier?
Thanks Trevor. So this bar is made by Kaymar. I have more details in this video: th-cam.com/video/BhEbtSib0Yg/w-d-xo.html

Cheers mate.

Yeah mate, you can get this online too 👍 ebay.us/Fa4i5X
Awesome thanks
Great idea 💡
Off topic mate but where did you get the switch panel on the passenger side of your rear setup? Cheers.

@@XploringOz Thanks Nathan, look forward to it.
Thats a cool idea, Im getting some now. Did you get one or two? Cheers Steve
Cheers mate. Great little place to store some organised gear.
Only need 1 unit. Should cover both pockets 👍
Cheers

Hey mate, sorry this is a bit off topic but do you carry a sat phone? And if so which one?
Could make for a good episode 😉 just saying 😂

Looks good but dam expensive for two bits of foam

FYI to all, Bunnings has these for $21

And it looks Mickey Mouse 😊😊🐕🦺👍🍺🇦🇺
For sure, look very neat and organised this way 👍
This is just Kincromes copy of Kaizen foam at double the price
In that case it's even a better value for money modification!
