thank you soooo freaking much man. I'm a new player (5 days) and since I got into plat I was getting wrecked. I was gonna quit since I couldn't find good guides on different decks until I found you. Your channel is soooooo goated and underrated. THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUU
YOOOO! Thank you for the kind words. I am extremely glad this has helped! Sometimes you just have to swap around a few tech cards when you climb to the next rank! Keep up that grind!!! 💯🔥💪
A single HOPT negate is great for sure, but many decks that main the floods are also setting up alternate interruption. Plus Half the floods can be activated post summon as well which can restrict after the first cost. I definitely understand though that a single flood gate, especially activated right away, is NOT the play lol.
Just a fair warning, Ryzeal can play through Shifter and other cards like it. The reason why OCG isnt siding Shifter anymore as well with Ryzeal having that Quick-play Spell that can summon them from Banishment. They just need 2 bodies to play essentially. As well, some handtraps may or may not work. Ryzeal decks can play Traptrix Rafflesia to stop monster hand traps, their Field Spell is also a monster negate that negates on resolution (busted), and they can access Starliege Photon Blast Dragon which protects all monsters with 2000 ATK or higher from targeting and destruction effects. So primarily Duodrive. And one last thing. Due to the deck being pretty consistent, specific "C" cards that summon to your opponent's field can be removed from either Ice Ryzeal or Node Ryzeal. Those are summoning conditions and costs, respectively.
@@RockerOf60s70s80s Love ALL of this! And I FORGOT TO MENTION THE PHOTON XYZ! That and traptrix really do put in work with their opening board. Are there any cards not mentioned you believe to be good against the matchup or any pro plays you would advise others to do against Ryzeal?
@VengefulShad0wz You mentioned most of them. Especially Book Of Eclipse and And The Band Played On, those are good side choices. I'd say the best way to play against Ryzeal is to wait patiently and handtrap Duodrive. He's the deck's biggest play. Droll is also a great hindrance to the deck, if their hand isn't that great to extend, Droll kills the deck.
if your opponent has the quick play spell your Book of eclipse wont put in the work all alone because the xyz can just pop itsely in response i think metaltronous is worth mentioning it requieres you to play specific xyz targets but will most definetly put down a large portion of the board
Band is a realllllly strong card actually . . . hmmm interesting. Could main it, then send it away with witch or Ice Ryzeal. Universe was actually a card i was thinking about lately. Dunno if I have space in the extra, too bad it can't make Aggregator. Might be worth siding the extra deck monster for universe. Awesome vid man.
Thank You! Band is such a cool card and has been around for a hot minute! Definitely will see play in the future of floodgates! Universe I think is strong, I remember it being a great tech back in the day and I can only assume decks like Math Lab could easily tech it and get good value. And like you said, being able to utilize it IN Ryzeal is even better!
side card to deal with ryzeal -summon breaker (end player turn on their third summon) -stygian dirge/mischief of the gnomes (alter monster level) -koaki meiru doom (negate effect of light and dark monster activated on main phase) -spellbound (opponent monster currently face up cannot be used as summon fodder)
correct. thats also if you shotgun activate them. if you get them to summon a 4 and dump the extra, THEN utilize the "band played on" you are at a much better spot. Plus most decks flipping the floodgate also have a board on top of a single flood to worry about.
That will be coming up soon! :) As the comment bellow states, Lancea and Chaos Hunter are great. Many in OCG even use Sanctum to search the Lancea. But we will go over WAY more options in the How to Beat Maliss!
Dunno why so many people say they found this helpful. It basically just lists 99% of every floodgate, then hand trap, then board breaker lol. Other than flying c mention, this video is just a generic staples list for random matchups. Not really meaning to sound so negative, but I was expecting at least some info on where to use these interrupts/what makes them impactful, just feel this video is too vague for really be a "how to beat guide"
Sorry man. I will try to get more into detail with the Hand Traps and specifically where you interact with in future vids. As for the variety of cards mentioned, although most are pretty basic, not everyone knows or remembers all the side deck options especially for off beat builds. I am sure it seems redundant to players who are already aware of them.
Good video man, no time wasted getting into the explanations
Thank You!
I tried keeping things concise and to the point to cover everything.

Great video! Actually gives a really good overview of good options...And it seems like there are a ton. I will definitly try some of these🔥
Thank You Very much!
I try to supply a variety of choices because some players/decks really enjoy the more slept on options!
Hope these help! 💪
Continuous trap floodgates versus a deck that literally sends mereologic aggregator for free to negate is certainly... a choice
Lmao. Right all these continuous floods on the field are horrible against them. No one can read.
@@DDgaming2478 Only good tech like that is probably Mischief of the gnomes

The deck has a big weakness though, they are terribly weak to spell and trap cards. No Spell or trap negation, especially to those that don't target.
And some builds tech an old card called Protector Of The Sanctuary to play against Mulcharmys.

Very good points for sure!
I think a lot of the Ryzeal charm is how well they maneuver around counters and still maintain a board.

Continous Floodgates do nothing against Ryzeal. They send Aggregtor As First action and will just negate the Floodgate. Eclipse is also bad.
