How to use Venmo - Send and Receive Money

- Venmo is a free app for iOS and Android to send and receive money to anyone.
All you need is a bank account or credit or debit card. You can also apply for a Venmo debit card and add money that way.
Unlike other apps designed to send or receive money, Venmo works like social media. You can share all your activities with your friends or on a public wall. You can keep all your activities private, however, if you don't want to use it as a social media platform.
Here is the step-by-step guide to using Venmo to send and receive money.
1. Download and install the Venmo app for iOS or Android
2. Go to settings and add a bank account or credit or debit card
3. To send or request money, click on the top-right pencil/money icon. Find the person via search. Choose the amount you want and leave a note.
Now select send or request.
Change the visibility of your post (it will be public by default)
4. You can also get a Venmo Debit card and not use your other cards. Add money to the Venmo card and only use that for Venmo money transfers.
5. Transfer Money out of Venmo to your bank with the transfer balance option. You can do it instantly or you can use the no-fee option which will take 1-3 days.

Venmo gets infiltrated and all of your friends and your info is collected and sold & by then they funnel money from all accounts that are hacked as well, you tell your bank how it was possible because you left a backdoor for anyone to use and NO FDIC insurance for YOU!!! LOL

Does the memo when transferring money show up on the transactions report?
Using a credit card, if you get money sent to it, will the credit card company see it as a payment towards you account? And if i take that money out will I the be charged a fee from the credit card company, like cash from a CC? Yes fees apply here for cash advance. But this venmo cash is cash not credit, right?

It did not work for me First Commerce Credit Union not on their list and when trying the manual method it says something went wrong when you enter the Routung number and account number twice.

hey, what is a venmo card? is that like a debit card only on venmo so you don’t need to add a bank account? because i don’t have a bank account but u want to take in money.
@@amandalagueux3118 you don’t need to add a bank account. But you can also link it to your bank account. For example, let’s say you have $20 on your Venmo balance and you want to purchase something that cost $25. If you card was linked to your bank account, $20 of that purchase would be pulled from your Venmo balance and $5 would be pulled from your bank account. If you card was not linked to your bank account, the transaction would be declined. The Venmo card is basically you using Venmo physically.

I just signed up. My husband has diabetes and had a foot amputation and I crochet trying to raise money to make it and so people can pay me or if someone helps us out... it's not that hard and I made a big deal about it lol and it's pretty easy and the money once transferred it only takes minutes to get on our card

Let's say you sent $300 to someone by using a credit card, so you must pay a 3% fee which is $300*97%=$291, then same someone pays you back $291*97%=$282.27 after paying again 3% fee, also you want to transfer your final balance out on Vennmo to your personal checking account in 1-3 days for no fee, so, you got $282.27 finally, right?
