I'm a meat eater but recently I found your videos again (I used to watch some of your stuff years ago) and you've inspired me to eat way more plant-based to the point where I'm craving way less meat so thank you :)
This is all I ever want! Just so pleased that it’s inspiring you to eat more plant based. You don’t have to go vegan, but eating more plants is the way forward!!
I love hearing these kinds of stories. You wont miss meat trust me if you stop. I find I eat so much healthier and way more variety and you just feel good about animal liberation ❤
totally agree, this is also what I advocate for on my own TH-cam channel@@MadeleineOlivia I also wanted to tell you how much of an inspiration you are and that you are one of the main motivations I started to share my own recipes on TH-cam to hopefully also inspire others, so thank you
Like others have commented, I am not vegan or vegetarian, but watching your videos helps give me inspiration for staying more plant-based, and for cooking from scratch. I'd love to see a video where Alex does his top three bread recipes, maybe for a country loaf, bagels, and burger buns. I'd like to get back into breadmaking and it's always helpful to see how others tackle it.
omg yes, we need a whole bread video as someone who is a bread addict I would love to make more of my own bread, I love sharing my weird sandwich recipes on my TH-cam channel, and having different breads would be lovely
You food makes me drool 👍. Such perfect food, to transition over to plant based. When I started off, 8 years ago, we would do 1 meat free day a week, then 2, then over a year it became about 4 or 5 days a week. Then I went vegetarian, for about 16 months, and now I've been vegan for 4 and a half years. And yes kala namak, is the egg lovers dream. Tofu scramble, is just incredible. Never stop showing your meals and recipes, they're are truly perfection 💚💚💚👌
truly she is such an inspiration, she is one of the main reason I also started my TH-cam channel hoping to share my passion for experimenting in the kitchen and easy and quick vegan meals to do as a college student I hope I can inspire as many as she does
Hey Maddie:) I hope you’re doing well and are okay?:) I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and effort with your delicious TH-cam video content that’s free! You’re all about eating what you love and whole foods without worrying about body image. This is such a beautiful message for everyone!!! Bless you ❤
Maddie I love the little wiggle dance you do while savouring your lovely meals , my 2 year old grandson does the same, he so loves his food ! Thanks for all your inspiration 🤗
I absolutely adore your videos. Thank you so much for all the work you're putting in. And the red jumper with the red hairband looks so good on you!!!!!!!!!!! ✨✨✨
For some reason, youtube messed up my subscriptions and I hadn't realised for many months. I finally searched for your channel and subscribed again - it's great I have so many videos and playlists to catch up on when I cook and other chores.
Thank you, I have been whole food plant based vegan for almost 8 years and your videos have helped in so many ways recently - appreciate your honesty and your sharing and your recipes!!!!
Love the wild garlic recipes! :) I just saw a German TV Show about picking it - they said to be careful about Maiglöcken (I think in English it's "lily-of-the-valley?") because it likes to grow next to wild garlic. They recommended to pick only a couple leaves and always smell them, so you don't get lily-of-the-valley leaves mixed in and poison yourself. Maybe everybody knows this already :) and it was just new to me...
I've started making so many more things from scratch so lovely to see you on the same journey. I have watched your videos for years! Cashew milk is super easy to make and if you blend it long enough you don't need to strain it. And it goes frothy for coffee! You can make homemade kefir with the Cashew milk if you buy some kefir grains online.
I've started adding more plant-based meals. One of my favs is Chickpea soup. Chickpeas, onion, garlic, red pepper, veggie broth, and coconut milk. Thank you for sharing all your creations!
Your videos are just so lovely! I had come back from the gym tonight and didn’t feel like cooking at all, but after 5 minutes in I was in the kitchen whipping something up because your meals looked so inspiring and easy. Influenced to feed my body 💪😊
I’m not vegan and haven’t been fully plant based for years (so can’t keep my iron up eating fully plant based), but I’m trying to get back to just a cleaner plant forward approach with things from scratch a lot more than I have been. Just found your channel and have already found a couple of great recipes.
After your last vid I bought wild garlic from my nearby farmers market. I blitzed it with naturli butter and made garlic bread with the spread! Smeared some on slices of sourdough it was the best thing I ever ate - a springtime flavour twist to classic garlic bread 😂❤ thank you for introducing me to this plant Maddie
Madddy. I took a photo of the vegan table at Sheffield Waterstones today. Your Make it Vegan has sold a lot of copies, more than all the other gorgeous vegan books on that table. Go girrrrllll.....😅😊
You need to try this pesto recipe, we make it when we want something quick and yummy. Handful of Pistachios, 15g of basil, some mint, half a lemon, handful of peas, garlic, salt/pepper. SO yummy, can add some nooch too! This all looked so yummy, can't wait to make the scrambled omlette! Xc
OMG, I would love to see you bake with Alex! I love your videos, and his bread looks SO good. Would love a wheat sandwich bread recipe, and if no knead works, even better. 😊
Have recently found you, binge watching all episodes which I’m really loving! Been looking for a supplement so I ordered the Ag1 through your link, excited to try it 🤍
I've been watching your videos for some time, and I thought I would take a moment to say how much I have been enjoying them. I pre-ordered your book the moment it was available on Amazon in the U.S, and I love recreating the recipes that I've watched you make on your videos! 😃 Al's bread recipes always look amazing. Would love to see some of those recipes as well. Hope you are having a lovely day in Cornwall. I will be making it over to the U.K. in June, and I am counting the days! 🤩😍
Literally watching and thinking I can make that. I've made that before. I've got those ingredients. I've paused to make avocado toast then came back. Now for lunch I'm thinking either soup or tofu scramble. Sometimes it's not that you don't have the skills it's that you just don't feel inspired and you've inspired me today x
Im on the east coast of canada and can get the black salt in the international aisle of my supermarket! I searched it out for PickUpLimes' "egg salad" and you're right, one packet will last ages! It's the Suraj brand, which I'm not sure if it's international, but seems like a "budget international food brand". :)
btw if you need help knowing when to water your inside plants, there's a soil meter you can get to check when the soil is dry and needs watering :) you mentioned struggling with your houseplants a couple vlogs ago
I think you are so good a cook, thanks.I was last month looking 4ward 2 having a new home w kitchen as nice as yours+it fell through 2wks ago...oh no...start again.Thanks.x
Thank you thank you thank you! Sooooo helpful and inspiring.❤️ i always watch your videos at the end of the day and go to bed completely hungry!!!oh dear! What a LUXURY to have delightfully baked fresh bread available every day! Yum! Yum!…i just had three teeth extracted and so im living on soup this week…but still delicious.
Yummy everything looks sooooo tasty, thank you for the meal ideas. I’ve been struggling with my meal planning lately we’ve just been eating the same things each week 🙈 here’s hoping my 3 year old will try some of these meals with me 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻❤️❤️❤️
I'm not vegan but you are the one person who has got me offering my family firstly, way more vegan meals, and secondly I really carefully consider meat purchases in favour of very high welfare and locally sourced. I'm about to order your book too Xx
The omega acids in flaxseeds are very unstable (deteriorate fast) so if you buy grounded flaxseeds there's not that much of them left :) freshly ground ones are the best. I literally got a £4 ikea pepper grinder and keep my flaxseeds there
It all looks so delicious. I may be a little behind but was wondering if you could share your husband's bread recipe? My mouth was literally watering watching you slice that bread. 😆
The Aldi chocolate is certified organic, it's the EU organic label in the bottom right corner :)

When Alex’s bread comes out of the oven, I recommend rubbing a little garlic and fresh tomato and finish it with a pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil on a slice of bread. Chef kiss 😙
Yummy 😋 vegan recipes and another inspiring video Madeleine and I am desiring more salad with the nicer weather coming. Love 😍 making recipes from scratch because I have control over the ingredients that are in them. Love 🥰 this vlog and love 💕 Madeleine &❤ Alex.
I do that gram flour scramble type thing too!! I usually do it over leftover vegetables or beans, I've christened it "the bullshit plate", because it's just a load of bullshit in the pan topped with gram flour and water. Top it with hot sauce and maybe have a vegan sausage if I'm feeling up to it. Brilliant hangover breakfast.
Hi, what do you for years on your videos? I’ve just bought your cookbook from Waterstones. I love the pictures can’t see the writing is either your site put my phone with it for me. Looking forward to making recipes from it. I would love to know how to make a really easy sourdough bread wholemeal. Please could you do a recipe on a video of how to make one please❤
Madeliene, Is the AG1 hard on your stomach? Ihave IBS and anxiety so I have to be careful with the tummy. Is the flavor decent? Ive been considering ordering it and trying it. Have a great week , weekend all
i'd love to make wild garlic cream cheese. i wonder if i can use frozen wild garlic and just blend it with some violife or philadelphia and salt and pepper
I love your recipies! Just one note: coconut, not even the fresh fruit, is not good because it is inflamatory- high saturated fats. I know is deli, but just so you know its not helathy...maybe soy milk makes it as well ?
Hey! I hope you don’t mind me asking, but do you snack between meals? Yes I do! I showed the meals for this video so it wouldn’t be a hundred years long but I have things like popcorn, apples, crisps, nuts, cereal bars, dried fruit, fresh fruit, smoothies, chocolate, rice cakes, protein shakes etc! And yes I often have convenience foods but more recently I’ve been trying to cook more from scratch for my physical and mental wellbeing and taking a kind of 80/20 and balanced approach. The weekends tend to be a time when I eat out more or don’t really cook quite as much!
Would absolutely love to see a videos of a few meals from each phase of your cycle. Like a what i eat in week on my menstrual, luteal, follicular, ovulation. Always looking for more inspo for cycle syncing
Hey guys, I need some advice. I've been a vegan for over a year now and I think I'm really struggling with the fact how many people still eat meat and don't give a damn about animals suffering. Even when I try to talk with some of my family or friends it's the standard "but that's just how the world is", "but humans are meat eaters", "oh stop, you've probably read some bs on the internet" or downright saying they love meat too much to give up eating it. It's like they are so obsessed with eating meat that even knowing perfectly well that an animal had to die for this, they completely ignore it, pretend that animals don't feel, naively choosing complete denial just so they can keep enjoying a burger. Whenever I see a meat shop that has a picture of a happy pig on it I feel like that's literally one of the most f**ked up and disturbing things I've seen, Like what's that supposed to mean, an animal was happy to die just so you can have a 5 minute pleasure you could completely live without? Family dinners are a struggle, going to buy groceries and seeing so many corpses proudly displayed is too etc. I don't know guys, I've noticed that I find it harder and harder to cope with this, many days I find it impossible to foucs on simple tasks thinking of it all. And don't worry, I don't plan to go no-vegan, but I really need some advice from people who've been through something similar because it's been really bad for my mental health.
This may be a silly question, but how does your Aga Oven/Stove work? (I hope I spelled that correctly.) Is it running off of a type of fuel? Or is it electric? I'm just so fascinated by all the different ways you can cook with it!
There are both solid fuel and electric versions! I’m from the States and we wound up inheriting an AGA when we bought our home here in Ireland. Ours runs on oil which makes it our most expensive appliance to operate and maintain.
I have just made your hot cross buns, minus the cross … I forgot .. I’m 70. I did 3/4 white flour and @ 1/4 wholemeal. Scrumptious. I’ve had to hide them from he who thinks he should be obeyed .

Alex needs to give us a masterclass on baking bread. That fresh loaf on Thursday looked divine.

I love that you just said “delish”- my Nana used to say that it made me think of her 🥰
Awwww how cute 🥰
I’ve just ordered your book, can’t wait to start using it. I look forward to your videos as I find you so down to earth and relatable 😊
I’d love the ingredients you used for that smoothie ❤
You are so lucky to have an aga. Using the oven in these days of high energy costs is something that i only do if I’m cooking a lot of things at once
