  • I'm tolerating radiation treatments very well. I feel good. Of course, it is not without side effects and this week I have some very visible effects. Thankfully, I will be done in one more week of weeks.
I have turned off comments as I am still being treated for the tumor and I’m trying to keep the energy around me as positive as possible. I want to share and help others. But I cannot read the sad tragic stories that well meaning viewers feel the need to share at this time. I know they mean well. But for me, it’s alarming and slows my healing process. We are all different and this is what works for me at this point in time.

Good for you, Mry! I also follow the 20-30 min rule to see the dr. Your time is better spent being out in the fresh air or resting at home. I’m a punctuality person also. I will do whatever to be at my appt on time, and making you wait is simply lack of respect. enjoy following your channel. You are one brave lady and I wish you the very best.

So glad you are almost done with the treatments; soon it will just be a memory and you will be grateful to have had such a great outcome! I had a benign meningioma in 2016, it's been 9 years next month since my 10-hour surgery and I am doing great--no recurrance and normal except for the reminder every 3 years having a routine brain MRI. I had my head shaved from front to just behind my ears for the surgery, with a shaved circle on back of the top of my head for the pressure valve during surgery. As my hair grew out, I had VERY short hair in front and a spike on top of my head! I used to see young people with their hair spikes and think, "What were they thinking?!" After sporting my spike for 2 or 3 months, I was SAD when it curled over and disappeared into my hair! (It was a great lesson for me to not make assumptions about others motives for their actions.) Praying for you as you finish this race--and I agree, people think any time "tumor" and "brain" are used in the same sentence, you are terminal. I also had people who did not understand what "benign" meant and thought I was dying, which was annoying the third time you heard it that day! Soon you will be enjoying the fun haircuts/styling you can do!

Thank you. Finally! Someone that really understands. All the horror stories and having to explain that I don’t have cancer and I’m not dying is very frustrating. I do miss my hair too. I had long pretty hair and now it’s a mess. I’m looking forward to closing this chapter and moving on. I’ve learned a lot though by going through this. I will never share another horror story with someone thinking I’m being empathetic again!

Thanks for the updates on how you are doing. The wig you had on at the beginning looked great. You have lost a lot of hair though. I know how excited you will be to have the treatments behind you. You seem to be handling it well and doing all you can. I do hope these treatments do the job on the tumor. Keeping you in my prayers.
