Very good information. You said this was filmed in January. I assume you already had your surgery and you are ok. Please let us know.

@@peri3818 this is a complication video. Different portions were filmed at different times. I have had my surgery and am doing well.

I may have mentioned that I'm considering "retiring" from my very stressful corporate job which is impacting my health. I'm 56 and not ready mentally or financially to fully retire so I've dabbled with the idea of doing some part time work with dogs, like dog walking. This video was so thorough and helpful, thank you! I hope you don't mind a few questions: 1. Do you walk the dogs in their neighborhood or do load them up in your car to walk elsewhere? 2. If you do overnight dog sitting, do you stay at the pet's home or do you bring to yours? If you stay at the pet's home, what do you do with your pets?

I walk in their neighborhoods. It will ruin your car to drive extra dogs around. I did it for a few years with one client and it adds so much hair everywhere. The windows will be coated in slobber too. I had a seat cover and it helped protect the seats. But there will still be so much dirt and hair. Plus, driving time takes away from walking time and uses more gas too. I have some clients that I take my dogs with me but the majority of clients that I pet sit I leave my dogs at home and come home to visit my dogs. I do more dog walking than pet sitting. My dogs also are comfortable being alone. They have each other and the cats. They are used to mama having to work. Pet sitting is bigger chunks of cash but dog walking is more consistent cash so I do a balanced mix. It takes a while to find the right balance and your needs will change over time. The beauty is that you control your schedule and can tweak it until it works for you and your finances.
