Sorry I missed her premiere with you, sometimes stuff just happens. She is sexy, beautiful and one hell of a singer! “Back in the day “ a lot of artists would incorporate movie scenes like Thriller did to dress up their videos. I did watch the whole video. Thanks Adogg! You put on a great show too!

Sade was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2002 for services to music, and stated her award was "a great gesture to me and all black women in England". She was promoted to Commander of the same Order (CBE) in the 2017 Birthday Honours, also for services to music.

Her voice is smokey, smooth and can melt your bones. I fell for her voice when I heard her song Paradise. It's one of a very few from her with a more uptempo, funky vibe. This song always got me out on a dance floor. When you get a minute would you be so kind as to put Lisa Stansfield on your list. The song is All Around The World

Sade was one of the first interracial women to shock the sensibilities of racists in America. She is half British, half Nigerian (I believe), and man, you got eyes and ears. My Boomer dad didn't quite know what to think, especially seeing her with a White man in her video, but he loved her voice. My parents raised us kids to not be racists, and we gifted them back with helping them past whatever b.s. they were raised with. None of my nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews are racist. In fact, a few are mixed themselves. And then genetic testing showed, my African bits came through my fish-belly white, ice blue-eyed, blonde dad. Sade opened people's eyes, including dad's, to love being love. I'm here for that.

I was lucky enough to see her in person on her first trip to the US in 1983 and she was one of the finest vocalists I had seen in a long time. She had a stage presence that was amazing and the lyrics floated from her mouth like a living tide of honey. The crowd was dead silent during the entire first song, I believe it was either Smooth Operator or Is It a Crime. I saw her a few times over the years and it was always enjoyable.

Sade is a fantastic band, Sade Adu the singer in which the band wad named after was offered her own career, but she wanted to stick with her band mates and do it their way. They only produced six albums over their long career together but each and every album is an absolute gem from start to finish, like every album is a greatest hits album.
