My Boomer dad didn't quite know what to think, especially seeing her with a White man in her video, but he loved her voice. My parents raised us kids to not be racists, and we gifted them back with helping them past whatever b.s. they were raised with. None of my nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews are racist. In fact, a few are mixed themselves. And then genetic testing showed, my African bits came through my fish-belly white, ice blue-eyed, blonde dad. Sade opened people's eyes, including dad's, to love being love. I'm here for that.
