I purchased one just based on " it helped my posture "🙏 now I never slouch. Made mama proud 👏🏻
We took ours on a two week long 5k road trip.... However we added the taller windscreen and the Slingshade roof. The only issue we had was even with the added rollbar mounted storage racks we were a bit limited on how much stuff we could bring along. Over all with a few after market options it's a great compromise between a car and a motorcycle.
Driving with a camera in your right hand. Shifting with your left hand. Genious.
There is storage behind the seats for helmet etc....
I keep seeing reviews where they dont know that. like... read the manualllll

The Polaris Slingshot has very little storage space, with a combined total of about 3.5 cubic feet split between a glovebox and two bins behind the seats. The storage compartments behind each seat are relatively large and can be locked. There is also a spacious glove compartment on the passenger side

We were interested in a Spyder and a Slingshot after looking at a new Harley Tri Glide. We rented a Slingshot in Gatlinburg for a few hours, conclusion was "3 wheeled Miata". It was fun, but more like a Miata than a motorcycle. The new Slingshot has a powerful Polaris motor now instead of the GM...

I've got a Can Am Spyder manual shift & it's a similar experience but for me more like riding an atv on the street legally. Handles amazingly & tons of power plus It's far more stable so I'm confident I'll make it home without wiping out to take care of my wife & kids

Just bought myself a new '21 "S" and my main question/concern is how that cool-looking shark fin might totally steal your ability to turn for a quick look over your shoulder. Thoughts?
You need to stick to your Viper even though the Slingshot has a better power to weight ratio and will outhandle it on a road course. Seats too hot, seats too cold, windshield too low, and on and on. A week is not true ownership. I've driven my over 30000 miles and I still love it. As far as exposure to the element, would you park your Viper outside or in the sun? I park my truck inside to protect it...Slingshot is no different. Apparently you have more money than sense and don't take care of your rides.

Redline Sky or Pontiac Solstice came with 2.0 turbo. The earlier Saturn Ion redline came with the supercharged motors.

I own one for 3 years. I agree about the windshield. I guess you can get a different windshield.
I drove mine last November from the Midwest to Florida. I looked into having it transported they wanted $3,000. I could drive it for that. I wintered there I tried to rent one it was 100 mile drive to rent one $200. A day.
I had a rule not driving it at night. Deer rut in November. The day before I left it was 70. A cold front moved in. High 45 degrees. I was wearing many clothes. I checked in SE Iowa the next morning it was Snowing. Not hard but I waited for it to warm up and quit. I was nervous about the road being slick but I remembered that the road temperature was warm. It snowed to St. Louis people did stare at me. As I headed south it did warm up
On interstate when I drove next to semis I was looking right at the axle of truck. Knowing that semis have huge blind spots . I one didn’t get too close behind them. Passing them wait till there is nothing else passing them. Pull over and drive like a nascar driver around it. Don’t hang next the cab.
I met some incredible people. I was like a rock star, “ you are doing this ALONE? “ “ what kind of engine does this have” usually men ask this” I was educated before title 9 it has a gas engine. “ you put the gas back here. How fast does it go? I don’t know. I’m driving the speed limit.
I stopped at a rest area to wait out a rain storm near Tallahassee as I was leaving a man looked at my plates you drove that here? Yes I told him I was retired, was just enjoying the sights. He was retiring soon always dream about a motorcycle cross country tour. He cried realizing that he could really do this. Took my picture. Getting out is difficult for an obese senior citizen. Storage behind seat. I have a towel for seat.

Nice toy - good fun. For touring it’s a joke despite the comments here. What storage? It’s not thing I’m driving cross country. Dealer support / network. I’d like to thrash it for fun for a day but my money gives me a better return on my 2 & 3 wheeled Harley’s.
It is classified as a AUTO CYCLE..NOT MOTORCYCLE..NO INDOORSMENT. NO HELMET IN FLORIDA I have a 2019 GRAND TOURING GT, absolutely love it .I roll 70,80 on i95 every day.

Through a towel on the seat when you park it. If your scared don't drive on the highway. Obviously you have never had a motorcycle. Your complaints are just silly. What did you expect? Not a super car in any way shape or form. Glad you sold it.

it depends where are you using it. if on the beach🏖 or country side🏔 i think it is super cool💥. However, inside the city🏢 i don't think so.
Probably good for all. Easy parking in city. Bad on highways

I wonder what year model that was. I think most of the new ones have push start engines with heated/cooling seats and an electronic display for GPS and phone connection There's storage in the new ones on the sides and behind both seats I think. Not sure if that is included in the basic one
It is either a 2015 or 2016, the only difference is the battery the 2015 has an acid filled battery and the 2016 has a AGM battery
I see they also require 91 octane or higher fuel, so you have to rum premium gas all the time at a much higher price than regular. In California now that would be over $5 a gallon right now
Bad: Customer service is absolutely the worst, and in my area, 3 Certified Mechanic/Dealers didn't know crap.
Doesn't it have storage space behind the seats? If you fold the seats down there should be a storage box behind each seat.

It's not a motorcycle or a car. It's a high performance go-kart that costs a fortune ($26000 and up)! It looks like a lot of fun but be careful. 1700 pounds matched with that 2.4 engine could be very dangerous if you hit something.
Good job roasting the tire and beating the crap out of it before selling to some poor unsuspecting victim.
And I bet the whoever he sold it too, sold it a week later after watching this video! LOL

Gas wins, no roll cage wins, where the passenger sits is irrelevant, Arcimoto does win on seating position, open air beats being enclosed and last but definitely not least rear drive is 100x better than front drive

The cobalt. It's a cobalt motor. Other ones were tuned better with quicker transmissions

Massachusetts we have a helmet law so you have to wear one . I don't think that would be fun.
A lot more fun than getting a wheel nut in the forehead. At 40 mph even a small pebble can knock you out. I rode a bike for 2 years before I got my car licence and then drove one on and off for 40 years.....can't tell you how many times I had to tilt my head down fast when I saw something kicked up by the car in front of me to have it bounce off the top of the helmet. Just about every one I had had a nice gouge in the top from stuff like that.
But does MA classify it as a motorcycle? SC and many other states do not and that generally means helmet laws do not apply. No helmet law for motorcycles here anyway, but you don't need a motorcycle license to operate a Slingshot.
Im sure one of these would make a good ride for someone, they're not really my taste though

Then you wouldn't get the insurance break, licencing break, inspection, you'd lose everything that makes it what it is. You'd effectively turn it into one of those 70's dune buggies built on a beetle.
There are kits to make the rear have a dual setup.. they are expensive but out there..

It seems like a fun little weekend toy to drive around in sunny weather. Practical or not, I'm sure the owner will get plenty of oohs and ahhs from others, to help build up one's self-esteem. This is usually the reason people purchase old 'classic' cars. I know a few people who take their old cars to weekend car shows. They'll sit in a chair next to their cars for hours on end, hoping others will stop and pay them compliments, lol.
