Maybe relevant, in the USA ideas can't be copyrighted - in this case game mechanics. Only specific expressions of an idea can be copyrighted, so using the art from the show or the card text perhaps. But as long as you reskin everything it should be totally fine

When I heard the card "Battle Tank Controls" for the first time, I laughed out loud because I thought it was referring to "tank controls" like old school Resident Evil. Now I want to see a card called Tank Controls that debuffs a creature by restricting their movement in an odd way
For deckbuilding, instead of putting individual cards into the deck, you could put card "packs" that are lists of 5ish assorted cards. That way you have choice over what goes in but you can't choose individual cards. Also then players can make custom packs
Once the graphics are done this is gonna be insane
Here's a card idea: Bishop. 4/7 religious unit. Cannot do normal movement. Can only move diagonally.
This truly looks like card wars with how unique all the cards and their abilities are. I can't wait to see how yall progress and improve in the future. Promise if I get a job I'll join the community to support, I've wanted to play this game for sooooooo long.
Card suggestion: A structure called “Self Destruct Button” and just make it to whenever a creature enters its field everything in the same zone as it and everything in the three zones nearest to it take damage. Besides that, love the work, looking forward to what comes next
If you could get this in a great state, maybe CN will just try and buy it? That'd be the best case scenario imo and it'd make me happy to see a creative win in this world for once.

6:08 to be fair, yugi moto, king of games, put beaver warrior in his deck. We can't discount the fact that cartoon characters are dumb and make dumb deck building decisions
You should make the card types different colors to make them more easily recognizable

Maybe you could take something from gwent’s provision system for deck building? Stronger cards cost more to add to the deck so there would be incentive to add weaker cards to your deck too.
I think a way to get cards like Wandering Bald Man and Cool Dog into a deck would be having a “point buy” system.
i.e. you have X points to build a deck, and you have to have Y cards. Each card is worth a certain number of points, so if you go crazy on the high value cards you get stuck with a deck that’s too small, or you make sure to include more low value cards
Maybe for it to be easier to manage the 3d models should be of the element (ie; fire, worker, etc) instead of for individual cards?
Give the cards rarity’s and make it so you can only have a certain number of each rarity card to the deck?
Will you be making custom models for the structures and creatures? I think itd help a lot with immersion and understanding better what's going on the board

You can have cards come in pairs or sets. You can have as many immortal Maze Walkers as you want but with the wandering bald man cunterparts
For deck building and balancing out powerful cards while making use of the useless cards
What if you have "factions", where you can only build a deck with cards of the same faction, so you still have the sense of deckbuilding, but it's slightly more limited, and would prevent extreme combos. And maybe having a minimum or maximum of how many strong or weak cards you can have in your deck, so you're forced to have smaller character cards and not just go against an opponent with a deck full of strong characters. Just a thought ^^

I mean, not necessarily theirs, nothing directly connecting it to adventure time, then the name and some game functions, but I doubt it would be too big of a problem, worst comes to worst they change some names and some functions
This looks like it’s on table top simulator they have tones of games/mods on there. He’s not doing anything wrong

in clash royale yeah u can have a bunch of rlly strong cards but usually the strong ones are high elixir. not at all sure how it could work but the economy in the game would work toward punishing people for making really strong/"expensive" decks
Bro you still need and have more time in development before talking about big announcement. Keep development and remove the obvious references . And you should be good to go in like a year or something
You don’t have to remove references if you’re not selling. This falls under the category of fan creation and therefore doesn’t violate copyright whatsoever. It’s literally the same when someone makes a Star Wars mod for Skyrim for example.
