the rock is often called "slickrock." Many years ago, those riding horses named it slickrock because it was easy for the horse to slip on the smooth material. However, it is a soft sandstone material. it's like driving on a fine sand paper and you have lots of traction. If you want to go 40 MPH down it, make sure to take video so that others know what not to do. To see it on video is one thing, just wait until your in the drivers seat...it is very steep. One bump at high speed = rollover
Just came back from Moab a few weeks ago. Video never does justice to just how steep some of these climbs are. We did Hell's Revenge in a torrential downpour. Made it all that much more crazy. One of my favorite trails in Moab that you can do without jacking up your vehicle to bad. Unless of course you roll it or something. There are some obstacles on that trail that will make a Macho Man get some serious pucker factor...
Please tell me what you are using for the rear spare tire carrier.. is that on a stock rear bumber???? I have 31's and cannot fit the spare in the "old" area..
Glad you liked it! That start of the trail is awesome, it really gives you a taste of what is to come.
I would have crapped myself on the first hill overlooking the cliff! But looks fun as hell!!!
