    Nice job! In addition to the legato exercise, what is the Lick S and the Lick P you have in your notes?

      I don't know what to do with my pinky little finger at first week, I tried to adjust how my pinky works, then I discovered how to pull off. I not to use metronome I used to push myself to speed up every single day.

      "#10min30days", so I'd assume this particular exercise was performed for 10 min every day for 30 days.

    Don't do exercises. Play a piece of music.

      @The Shield get you some Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Chicago, Toto, Elton John, etc. songbooks, learn everything in them, and you will be way ahead of all the guys doing their diddly diddlies.

    • @papadavewatson
      @papadavewatson 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @The Shield when you study the music of the greats, you are learning to write music. If you want to learn how to go diddly diddly go for it, but you'll wind up sounding like your doing exercises. Transcribe and play the solo in the Beatles song Something, or Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb. Diddly diddlies get you nothing musically. You might be impressed with yourself, but no one else will be.

      @@papadavewatson Back to the weight training analogy; If you only play songs (doing biceps curls) you're not really strengthening your core, legs etc (theory). Sure, you might be able to overcompensate some exercises using bulging biceps (song knowledge), but in the end you'll end up with a beach body that looks good from the top but weak below the belt. (can only play songs, doesn't know _why_ it sounds like it does, having to relearn/reinvent when things change etc)
      In short; You need both.
