I learned a TON about legato by just doing that lick over and over. So well played and very good teaching. Love your lessons!

Ross....I love your slash videos. There's a lot of Slash tutorials out there but nobody breaks down his ascending licks on the lower strings. What I mean is the patterns (threes fours fives) etc. It would be awesome if you could do another slash video like that.

No one ever covers 2 note per string legato, with hammers from nowhere, is this something you may cover? Your an awesome player

Legato is so fun when used effectively! Smooth on a physical and tonal level. Cheers Ross!

It would feel quite alien to me to play with the fingers of my right hand curled up, so picking the G string with the middle finger, as you did in this video, isn't an option, however, I still play passages like that with less right hand movement than you demonstrated when using the pick/plectrum on both strings. The way that I do this is by picking the D string with an up-stroke, followed by the G string with a down-stroke. Not only does this reduce the movement required by the right hand but it also reduces the tendency to dig into the G string, therefore producing a softer sound.

Thanks, Ross, you've provided a lot to chew on. The challenge for me is the different volume of my pick, hammer-ons and pull-offs, no matter how hard I try. Is a compressor part of the solution here?

I got tired of buying course. But I took the plunge and signed up for your bulletproof guitar. I just honestly don't know how I can remember everything lol. I've bee stuck at mediocre for years. I can cover stuff, but I wanted to expand my theory knowledge. I'm still struggling.. I wanted to be a teacher, but, maybe I'm not smart enough lol

Hi Ross, I've been practicing legato for years, but my pinky hammer ons still sound weak and inaccurate. Especially when I play 124 (fingers) or 134 3nps lines. (My 123 3nps sound strong and I can do it up tempo.) Any tips? Cheers

if you had to pick both strings, the second string would be a UP pick , down up,, much easier than down down on both strings

Hi Ross, stay with the beautiful blues tunes.
I don't like Tom's style, noodling playing without melody and without meaning.
Nonsensical and non-melodic Noodling and equally terrible fusion are a mixture of Jazz.
How did poor Jazz turn out.
The original style gave rise to two such big nonsenses that are spreading like a disease in the world of guitarists.
