Great list! Diamondback still #1 for me, too. Haven't been on Goliath, but I take it over the other 7. All are fun, and Intimidator was much improved in 2019 with reduced trimming.

I’ve rode Goliath at SFOG 4 times, each one of which gave me PHENOMENAL floater airtime with super comfortable clamshell restraints. Another plus is I’ve never waited more than 10 minutes for it
If you got good weather for Apollo's Chariot (And probably Candemonium) I'd imagine both would rise in the rankings far, probably into the top half. At least past Intrimidator. The thing is, back in 2018 I got full train back row hot summer day night rides on Apollo's Chariot, and that pre-camera hill has to be the best airtime on a B&M hyper. Yes, better than Raging Bull's main drop from the back (although tbf in 2019 I didn't get airtime on that). Maybe Mako's 5-second camelback competes just due to how sustained it is, but that was more floa-jector. That moment on Apollo's? That was proper ejector airtime. None of that floater nonsense, none of that floa-jector nonsense. Proper. Ejector. Airtime. It wouldn't be out-of-place on an RMC.

I’ve only been on Nitro at my home park SFGAdv, and needless to say, I’m a fan. I got 3 rides on it in 2020, my final ride was the last of the day on a hot July day, back row, full train (ride ops for whatever reason started doing full trains at the end of the day despite doing half trains all day before). Holy cow, I legit got ejector on some of those drops it was running so fast and that helix is intense and awesome. Easily 2nd best in the park behind El Toro and an elite coaster in my eyes. Also best station music of any coaster out there.

I think you need to reride Apollo's Chariot. The ride gives some really good fljector on the dive into the river on the way back and the crazy ejector pop on that last hill.
Nitro is the only hyper I've been on but it's without question my favorite roller coaster. And the fact that El Toro is popular just makes it even better (shorter line).
Chris, I'm from New Zealand and I've only done three B&M Hypers. They also happen to be the three best ones. All three are in my top 20...in this order - Mako, Raging Bull and then DiamondBack. I love the fact you give Raging Bull some love as it's constantly being crapped on. I suspect it's because Taylor had two rides on it and didn't really rate it as high, then the sheep followed without actually experiencing it themselves. Don't expect the same typical hyper layout and for what it is ...it's an awesome ride. I marathoned the hell out of it over my two days at Great America, almost each ride in the back row. That first drop is spectacular.
tbh i think behemoth deserves a little more love here because that last hill absolutely pops you out of your seat. The only reason I'd put it down is the rattle. Like holy shit the more you ride it the more you feel that awful rattle
Goliath at La Ronde is a sleeper, it offers so much air time even though it's small. Also fun fact about why it is only 175ft, this is due to Montreal having stupidly strict zone planning. It was originally supposed to be 230ft, but it would have impacted the views of Mont Royal, which is the mountain in the middle of the downtown core. The city has strict height limits as is, and they applied this to La Ronde, which reduced the height from 230ft to 175ft.
Good to see Diamonback topping the list. It's been my favorite coaster at Kings Island for years and I've gotten plenty of rides on it. I made two trips to the park in 2020 to ride Orion and get that collector's piece of Vortex. Orion was good but disappointing the first trip, but on the second trip it was seriously impressive. After that second ride I had to go straight to Diamondback to compare them, and the whole time I was in line I was thinking "Diamondback better deliver something real special to keep my top spot at the park." Let me tell you, boy did it deliver. Best ride on it I've ever gotten. Strong floater on every single hill, even the smaller camelbacks toward the end and the drop into the splashdown. Orion impressed me that day, but Diamondback did even more so, defending its spot on my list.
I've been on Behemoth, Apollo's Chariot, Diamondback, and Nitro. With Great Adventure being one of my home parks, I've ridden Nitro the most and so far it's my favorite. I love the floater airtime in the front row. I prefer to experience my airtime as I'm cresting the hill, not going down the hill. I also rank Nitro higher than Diamondback because it doesn't have the unnecessary seatbelts.
I think apollo's chariot is one of the best B&M hypers for one reason, i love its setting, and the fact that it goes through the trees, thats my opinion though at least

Great Adventure is not really my home park, but it's the closest one with a hyper. Nitro usually has almost no line (partially due to massive capacity) and the operators are mad chill, so it's easy to get a whole lot of rides quickly if you're a single rider. The view to the left is a pretty forest, and getting a warm night ride is highly recommended if possible. The upward helix on that and the first one on Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion are the only times so far I've grayed out on a coaster. That being said, that helix is nothing compared to Intimidator. Apollo's Chariot is actually the first roller coaster I went on. I recently went to BGW again, and it was also a cool, damp day. It was definitely running slow and I was a bit disappointed, I'm not surprised to hear you had a similar experience.
I have only been on Diamondback and I was very impressed by it. My home park is Kentucky Kingdom so we don't really get any of the floater air time so when I got on Diamondback as my first hyper just a week ago, I was in heaven and wanted to get back on. I still consider Orion and Mystic Timbers better but Diamondback is still amazing!
I've now been on Diamondback, Raging Bull, Mako and Candymonium. They're all great but I have to say that Diamondback is still my favorite, I love sitting in the back and getting whipped over those hills.
Finally! Someone who agrees with me that Raging Bull is a top tier hyper. This list is 100% spot on. My only change would be to switch Goliath and Nitro, but overall, this was a great list!
Bull in back is definitely my top hyper I've been on. Bull anywhere else is my least favorite. Goliath at over georgia has the strongest airtime I experienced overall though. Best experience goes to intimidator when the ops weren't even touching the lap bars. I'm 140 lbs and they had to tap it down to hit the sensor spot I had so much room. The guy only pushed it down to the sensor spot too, no further. Insane, but amazing room.

I had a full train ride in the second row on a very hot July day and it was one of the most boring rides I have ever had on ANY coaster. I recently got a ride on Thanksgiving day when the temp was around fifty and it was a blast. Great airtime, no rattle on the helix, and the first drop did have solid ejector. It’s just a very different ride depending on a multitude of circumstances. I will always ride it though because of the high capacity, the usually stellar ops, the journey through the trees, and the bank near the Rhine River.
I can see how you ranked candymonium so low do to the conditions on the day you were on it but during my most recent trip to Hershey park it easily cracked my top 3.
Ive been on all but La Ronde and CW. 1) Goliath - by far the most unique and intense and it has 8 rows BTW 2) Mako - when running fast it's exhilarating. 3) Nitro - Unique layout with a great helix The rest are all kinda the same to me.
Ride nitro at night the park has no lights out there and makes the floater 10x better. Ride hands up and feet out!! You will feel like your floating in the summer night sky.
The only one of these I've ridden is Shambhala, which is not in North America. It's a fantastic, beautiful ride with an unusual turnaround and an only-for-show "splashdown", though it doesn't deliver high intensity (for that, ride the B&M sit-down looper twining through its supports, Dragon Khan). Many seem to consider it the best B&M hyper, not counting the gigas, but I wouldn't know.

For me the best B&M hyper I've ridden is Raging Bull at Six Flags Great America followed by Mako at SeaWorld Orlando, Diamondback at Kings Island and Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. My top B&M hypers... I am a rookie for personal reasons. With that said I've ridden only 6 B&M hypers... 6. Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Virginia 5. Intimidator at Carowinds 4. Candy Monuim at Hersheypark 3. Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure 2. Diamondback at Kings Island 1. Mako at SeaWorld
Maybe it’s just my Hersheypark bias, but I love candy. Yes, it’s short. But the first half is maybe the best of any hyper and since it’s new it’s buttery smooth, even by comparison
I didn't get any air on Goliath at six flags over Georgia or Diamondback at Kings Island, Intimidator on back row, pulls you over every hill float you out your seat, just my experience on them
I went to canadas wonderland for the first time absolutely petrified of all the roller coasters then my friend convinced me to go on behemoth I am now an addict
there's also two other hypers in Asia that are much smaller. Flight of the Himalayan Eagle Music Roller Coaster (talk about a stupidly long name) at Happy Valley is 157 feet tall and Hollywood Dream: The Ride at Universal Studios Japan is 144 feet tall
I rode Goliath a year or two ago but I didn’t remember it well since I was so excited to be at my first six flags park and visit all the dc comics areas. Superman...first flight? Maybe? Idk what that ones called in Georgia but it was my first experience on a coaster like that and it was MAGICAL.
King's Island is my home park. I love Diamondback. I keep the restraint a little loose for the extra airtime. Admittedly, I had it too loose once, a little scary.
I got to ride Mako yesterday and I rode diamond back in September and I gotta agree diamond back is better.....very glad the only 2 ive rideen are the best😂😂😂
Nitro is the only one of these I've ridden. The drop and camelbacks were great, but the helix and the after mid course brake drop were the most surprising elements. My only problem was I'm a bit big for the seats... I was literally bruised on the sides for a week from two rides on this thing. Still though, it was worth it. Can't wait to go back once jersey devil is done

Candymonium is an average length for a B&M and it’s a great ride. Riding it on a warm day it flies through some of those airtime hills

You rerode apollo during one of its worst seasons. It ran terribly in 2019. This season it’s definitely a top 5 hyper!

For me the best B&M hyper I've ridden is Raging Bull at Six Flags Great America followed by Mako at SeaWorld Orlando, Diamondback at Kings Island and Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Maybe it’s just my Hersheypark bias, but I love candy. Yes, it’s short. But the first half is maybe the best of any hyper and since it’s new it’s buttery smooth, even by comparison
I didn't get any air on Goliath at six flags over Georgia or Diamondback at Kings Island, Intimidator on back row, pulls you over every hill float you out your seat, just my experience on them
I went to canadas wonderland for the first time absolutely petrified of all the roller coasters then my friend convinced me to go on behemoth I am now an addict
I went on Mako in February and airtime was great
Goliath at La Ronde actually isn't the only B&M hyper with a height of 170ft, Apollo's Chariot does the same thing.
Difference is, Apollo has a 200 foot drop, while Goliath does not
there's also two other hypers in Asia that are much smaller. Flight of the Himalayan Eagle Music Roller Coaster (talk about a stupidly long name) at Happy Valley is 157 feet tall and Hollywood Dream: The Ride at Universal Studios Japan is 144 feet tall
I rode Goliath a year or two ago but I didn’t remember it well since I was so excited to be at my first six flags park and visit all the dc comics areas. Superman...first flight? Maybe? Idk what that ones called in Georgia but it was my first experience on a coaster like that and it was MAGICAL.

King's Island is my home park. I love Diamondback. I keep the restraint a little loose for the extra airtime. Admittedly, I had it too loose once, a little scary.
I got to ride Mako yesterday and I rode diamond back in September and I gotta agree diamond back is better.....very glad the only 2 ive rideen are the best😂😂😂
You should ride nitro. It’s pretty fantastic.
Nitro is the only one of these I've ridden. The drop and camelbacks were great, but the helix and the after mid course brake drop were the most surprising elements. My only problem was I'm a bit big for the seats... I was literally bruised on the sides for a week from two rides on this thing. Still though, it was worth it. Can't wait to go back once jersey devil is done
