These are just a gimmick, which bose fans will fall for. Just like the 1 St gen airpods , the practicality and the performance at that price is absolute zero. If you are paying 200 + dollars for these they should atleast pump out descent base. Better to stick to sub 200 dollar audiotechnica and shure IEMs , if you are an audiophile.
@@Specter187 because most people are like me and buy the $20 to $30 polarized sunglasses at Walmart. A huge portion of the population don't think of sunglasses as a fashion item but as a tool or item to solve a problem.
You can control volume by head position and holding the button. Lenses are also changeable to clear or even prescription. You are spot on about the outside noise
Prescription and trans lenses are available at glasses USA especially for these. The 4 different lenses you can buy from Bose for them are very cool for only 20 each set. They weight 1.5 grams. How is that heavy?
“Bose is known for its high-end speakers” Euh, no. Bose is good in making a big soundstage with small speakers, but that has nothing to do with making a high-end speaker.
So i bought a pair from Target the other night and i LOVE them so far!!! Sure, they could absolutely be louder in loud environments but most of their time they give me all the sound i need and then some. The convenience is uncanny and at $200 the price is absolutely reasonable for something this cool!!!
I have the qc35 well I travel and what if ur siting next to someone on a plane and they hear and it’s weird to wear ur sunglasses a night and on a plane
Do any of you making these comments actually work in the audio engineering industry? Thought not. Let me fill in some gaps for you, here. The technical specifications of audio production have been pretty much stagnant since vacuum tubes were phased out about half a century ago. Audio manipulation, on the other hand, has improved drastically thanks to, among other things, a better scientific understanding of the mechanics of the human body and how it responds and reacts to pressure waves (in this case anywhere between 50hz and 20khz). There are a select few of us in this business with very good ears whose job it is to map out a soundstage and its characteristics produced by a given arrangement of sound wave-producing devices, be they mounted speakers, embedded PC speakers such as you might find in laptops, all the way down to headphones and this example here in sunglasses. Each depends on several properties, not least of which is the housing in which they are constructed. Different materials reflect or absorb sound waves in various ways, and it’s crucial to choose the correct one for the desired effect. Bose has, for decades now, been focused on what most consumers these days want in an audio product - as accurate a reproduction as possible of the music in question being performed live in front of them. Now, for obvious reasons, this isn’t exactly practical, because to achieve that you’d have to know exactly how the recording was setup from an engineering perspective. Add to that the fact that one pair of headphones or speakers has to be designed for an inevitably wide range of applications, in other words, different genres. If they tried to specialise and focus on one genre (some of you hold this as a definition of high-end audio), that product would likely sell very well in its own right, but would only appeal to a tiny portion of the market. The rules that govern all general-purpose consumer electronics also apply to consumer audio. Some of you are correct to state that Bose is not a high-end audio vendor, but that’s because they don’t intend to be. If you’ve read all that and reached this point, perhaps you’ll now think differently before summarily judging a company based off one user’s experience of one product, and instead you might acknowledge the fact that thousands of hours of work by people like me goes into the making of them.
I am hard of hearing in one year, when I put these on the first time I was shocked I could hear properly for the first time in years! It left a huge smile on my face and I remember thinking, I hope someone out there keeps working on this technology. I can't wait for the next version! 😁
The moment I saw this video it just reminded me of that one episode Time Warp Trio where the main characters went to the future and saw headphone sunglasses! They are finally here!
Most videos like this are unwatchable. She gets right to point. Goes out into the world and she is pleasant to watch. As for the content, air buds make more sense. Thank you for making this video.
If you wear a hoodie you can hear it much louder and the bass. Also it's excellent for podcasts and phone calls and notifications. Plus the AR audiojack is incredible. Not to mention only $20 for their other lenses in rose colour or light blue or mirrored pollazrized
Why would anyone buy these you would legit have to wear them everywhere like inside your house n stuff, youre better off getting airpods which are cheaper
Loved them until one of the legs broke. I loved the fact that I no longer had to fumble with two items. I do feel that they could have been stronger. Lets see how Bose customer service treats me. Hope I don't have to pay more than I already did.
Most designer sunglasses cost $300-400 so $200 isn’t bad for shades that do another function. Wish there were more frame styles and diff lens options. Wonder if they could use vibration tech instead
200 is cheap for a bose headset. 200 is also a realistic price for a 'name brand' set of sunglasses. This is both combined which is an incredible value.
My grandpa is blind, and he uses these glasses. He prefers them over wireless earbuds like the AirPods because he needs to be aware of the surroundings so he can’t cover his ears, these glasses allow him to answer calls or listen to some music without problems. My grandpa is very satisfied with this wearable, so if any of you have a blind relative or friend, these glasses may be useful for them.
I tried these on at target and considering I work outside and I’m not supposed to use headphones, these are perfectly made for me and fell in love with them. The perfect solution for my love for music and work
You can hear it indoors when you don’t need sunglasses. You can wear sunglasses outdoors but can’t listen to music. That’s quite intelligent. Must say!
This is not a head phone replacement this is a solution for commuters who use bicycles skateboards etc to go to work so this way it's easy for them to hear there surroundings and be more alert
People who are scoffing at the 3.5 hr usage.. how often are you outside if at all! Unless you work outside or enjoy the outdoors for hours on end, 3 hrs is nothing to scoff at. Think of your own personal usage. You’re probably outside just on the by-and-by to get to point A to point B, as most people are. 3hrs is plenty of usage time if you count for the fact you wouldn’t be using them ALL DAY, but just in between intervals of actually BEING OUTSIDE of your A/C’d work environment. These are pretty practical for being low-key. Just something to think about.
I mean. There are raybans that easily cost that much. The music is a plus i guess. The round ones look cool if you have the right face structure for it

Ill wait until they make them better and the tech is there.

The purpose of this is "safety", to hear the environment while listening to music on the go. The audio is similar to bone conduction earphone.
