These images are lovely, but I'm seeing Fantasy, Halloween, Cosplay, Steampunk (in black), even Carnavale, but very little of what I'd actually consider to be "Goth" and certainly not "Trad Goth". Is this what is most represented at Whitbey or simply the videographer's preference? No judgement, just curiosity.
This is what the festival represents. We didn't bias over any type of costumes.. really the festival by day is an excuse for fancy dress. I believe that the real goth festival is in the evenings when the bands play
Nice to see the young ones dressed up and taking part and moreover having fun.
Abundantly clear on a date such as today...
Cool!
Thanks
To be sure kind sir

Most of them really havent a clue about what it means to be a Goth, it's just fancy dress for them.
I do agree that this is just an excuse for fancy dress and a great time. I believe their are a few bands and events for the music lovers.
Oh I see.
One of the biggest Goth events where there aren't any Goths.
Yeah. During the day it's fancy dress. In the evenings there are bands playing
Perhaps altering t😂he name to "Gothic" weekend to better represent the crowd.
